Starting point is 00:00:03 And less than 24 hours after Ray Vaughn put out the era disc track towards Joey, we've received the finals. But then you know what I'm saying? I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop. Like, what's going on? This is the type of back and forth that I live for because I'm not going to lie to you. As far as hip hop being a sport where you're always wondering who is going to be that one person to test you lyrically to the point where to quote, side seven you may have to pop out and show him so with that being said joey responded it under 24 hours with his disc track towards ray von titled the finals now of course with this track and ray von's error
Starting point is 00:00:49 track out the thing i will say is keep in mind rayvon is under td e which is of course meaning that he has a lot of ties to kensrick and top dog but also he's from l.a so there's a lot of things going into it, especially with Joey going at the whole LA scene as far as the rulers back and the way to everybody and the mama from LA, who was a rapper, jumped out and responded. So, Joey's talking about a 20 v1, but I think that's unfair when you call out an entire region. It's not like you call one person. The only reason Drake was able to get off that 20v1 is because Drake was just minding his business, literally wanted Kendrick on first person shooters. Kendrick said no, and all of a sudden, unlike that, Kendrick got here saying, I got a K-Wall
Starting point is 00:01:33 these nines you're going to see Pest Cemetery on the same album that Metro and future are cultivating the Avengers of hating Drake as far as the weekend as far as ASAP as as far as Rick Ross and then you come to realize it really is a 20 v1 so Joey it is not the same but then you know I'm saying I was like damn look at the state of hip hop like what's going on so anyways getting back into his disc track he's going at Ray Vaughn calling out a lot of different things as far as um ray Vaugh not being big enough to go at him and I don't think that's the greatest point as far as from the lyrical aspect it's just a perfection of putting words together but as far as the substance and getting into what usually puts a dis track over one another is what are you saying to
Starting point is 00:02:16 expose the other person because it's not like we're coming into distracks trying to hear the best lyrical miracle spiritual we're trying to hear what type of tea you have on the other person because ultimately that's how size seven won the battle that's how naws won the battle that's how tupac won the won the battle even if it's lies right even if it's lies we have to know the tea the dirt and if you make it sound impactful enough guess what now you've come out as a winner as far as the midst of the dish battle so with this track i do feel like it's great i don't think it's better than ray vaughn's era track uh lyrically i think it's closer but overall construction uh as far as the construction of the track as far as the chorus and things of that nature i feel like rayvon also gave you hard-hitting bars
Starting point is 00:03:08 while making it a replayable track with joey the the bars are not as hard-hitting it should have been more hard-hitting if it wasn't going to be as replayable right so um there's a lot of things he flipped like if i was to go to it as far as um make sure to go to analytic dreams video on spotify to see the video along with the audio if you want to see um me break down the the lyrics that i like the most but about with sugar in your tank i was like hold up and he was just like okay so joey said on the finals mess around leave me no choice but to slay vaughan sugar in your tank but you ain't no sugar ray vaughn and then he said gay vaugh this is joey not me so get mad at joey joey jay said gayvon keep punching with them pillow hands you ain't even a middle man you just a little man forget whipping feet
Starting point is 00:03:59 we throw hands like Rayman you ain't no Ray Leota how much you made man say I wouldn't talk about your pocket but hey man you need a optician just to see Ray bands
Starting point is 00:04:14 but then you know what I'm saying I was like damn look at the state of hip hop like what's going on? That's what I say from a lyrical perspective these two gentlemen are showcasing how top tier lyrics go about rapping over a beat so then to get on my ESPN tip
Starting point is 00:04:29 We have to put that to the side because the quality is through the roof on both of these disc tracks. We have to now look at because we're judging it against each other, right? So lyrical, miracle, spiritual, they are both at a master class level. So now we got to look at other things. What do you have as far as substance in your distract? And what Ray Vaughn had going at, Joey, as far as instances with his homie using Capcut, as far as directing the video to diss them, which is not even the cap cut. he's using the free version, which as an entertainer using free versions of editing software,
Starting point is 00:05:02 that is beyond lazy to the point where nobody using free versions of editing software should be supported if you want to take this serious and compete with the big dogs. Of course, there's nothing wrong with using free editing software because you got to get out the mud when you first start. But after you start going at people, you can't be mad that they start pointing out certain things that you're skipping over in the process of impacting the masses right so i like that point about ravey vaughn it's more of a technical aspect i don't know if people really got that one and then also uh when ray vaughn talked about because you see right here uh joey's trying to say that ray von is a little man
Starting point is 00:05:41 and then how ray von responded let me see if i could pull that up i got all type of genius lyrics pulled up we try to get to the lyrics you know what i'm saying ray von responded and this man said it was in verse two because this is my favorite part Let me see Okay, he basically Oh this wasn't even a response That's how you know this this track is better Because it wasn't even a response
Starting point is 00:06:02 This track came out first And it's still better than what Joey put out So essentially Ray Vaughn said Who's a nobody? I was writing for your baby mama Now right there But then you know what I'm saying I was like damn look at the state of hip hop
Starting point is 00:06:13 Like what's going on? If we've seen one thing is that People don't play about their baby moms And to say he was writing for his baby moms And that was before Joey put out the disc track that was retorting that one and he didn't even retort that line but only added more credence to it i'm sorry but as far as substance i have to give it to raveon now there's a lot of other reasons i give
Starting point is 00:06:34 it to rave on but that was just one of the more specific ones because we'll be here all day if i was to break down these two gentlemen's dish lyrics uh against one another but they're not kendrick or drake so i'm not spending hours breaking this down but what i will let you know is the background as far as why joey is going at these people in the first place as when it comes to Joey beef with all the LA rappers not just daylight not just Ray Vaughn just know that initially started when Joey had a sneak track a sneak distinct track of the rulers back basically talking about how he was going at everybody in LA and Joey didn't respond directly to no rapper he responded to LA in general when he was talking about the rulers bag because he was taking shots at LA and with that
Starting point is 00:07:18 being said um when it escalated right escalated to Ray Vaughn being the first one to respond with a crashout heritage and then of course the feud continued and who was in the midst of the feud freestyle for people who listen and dissect hip-hop you already know i'm going with this this is one of my favorite rappers before drake overtook that mantle right pause hey yo you guys see that's the problem but this was my favorite rapper until like the middle of my high school years, but essentially big Sean makes it a point to be overshadowed day in, day out whenever he has a phenomenal outing lyrically. I mean, it happens all the time to the point where I'm just thinking to myself, maybe he was okay with being overshadowed
Starting point is 00:08:16 by these people. I mean, if you think about it, control happened on a Big Sean album. If you look up control right let's do it like let's um y'all do it with me right go to your local dsp type in control not kentrick i mean not drake's control type in uh kensur's control um is this not out on dsps i don't think it's out on dsps i'm not seeing it anyways um well let me see what album was controlled by Kendrick put out on. I think it was a mixtape. I think that's why it's not on DSPs. Okay.
Starting point is 00:08:57 So Kendrick's song Control featuring Big Sean and J. Electronica was not included on any Kendrick album, right? Whose album was it off of? Oh, well, it was off of Big Sean's album Hall of Fame. But then, you know what I'm saying? I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop. Like, what's going on? The reason why I say is because Big Sean is back again to let you know that he
Starting point is 00:09:17 loves the sport of getting over. overshadowed when he performs lyrically as when the Red Bull freestyle happened, guess who was on the lineup. Ab Sol who's an L.A. rapper and of course, Joey. Now, you see Joey during the Red Bull freestyle, which is literally the Red Bull spiral, you come to find out that he's taking shots that you know who as far as another L.A. rapper, which is daylight. So Big Sean just loved to be in these moments. And that's why I said that as the Red Bull freestyle was set up for Big Sean to just go insane, which he did. But of course, it was overshadowed once again by Joey.
Starting point is 00:09:57 And he was throwing shots of Ray Vaughn. But really, he was throwing shots to daylight. I even have coverage of that. So just type in Red Bull analytic dreams with the Z on whatever platform you listen to podcast on and it should pop up. But my coverage of that was basically me talking about how Joey had the best verse on Red Bull freestyle. that and it was because of the daylight flips i was like hold up what is what type of beef i didn't even know about this beef this is how much it like flew under the radar i knew about the rulers back but when the uh when the daylight flip started to happen i was like he's doing this time and time again
Starting point is 00:10:30 there's somebody named daylight i looked it up and lo and behold it's an l a l a rapper yeah another la rapper that joey is going at so not only do you have daylight not only do you have ray von which i love rayvon's response to joey trying to get it i mean this man begging for for attention from Kendra. You're talking about LA rappers on the, let me chill. All right, so let me, Ray Vaughn basically,
Starting point is 00:10:53 let me see if I can find it right here. So, so essentially, I told you, we're not breaking down all these lyrics, but if it comes to my head, I gotta bring it up. All right, so this man said, dot didn't respond, okay, hold up, okay, Ray Vaughn said, dot didn't respond, now you're trying to call Cole out.
Starting point is 00:11:11 I ain't gonna lie, that's a, that's a hard bar, because people don't understand, you know, you got dot, period, You got cold, semi-cold, you know what I'm saying? Dot didn't respond. Now you're trying to call Cole out triple quadruple on Tondra. Don't even ask me how.
Starting point is 00:11:23 Anyways, getting back into this. He had a lot of other bars about like goofy, don't let power, get your TV turn off because, you know, Joey asks for power. Of course, Joey had a bunch of other responses to Ray Vaughn as far as talking about, well, I already talked about it basically tried the little man him, which it doesn't work if Ray Vaughn's giving you straight bars. and he's actually signed the TD, which is one of the more, if not the most prominent brand out of LA when it comes to rap. So anyways, I'm not going to spend too much time on this, just wanting to let you know that these two rappers are going back and forth.
Starting point is 00:11:56 And as far as lyrical content, it is beyond high quality. And of course, I covered the charts as far as Billboard, which is why I always say, just because you don't sell a lot, does not mean you're not putting out high quality. Because I highly doubt any of these tracks are going to chart on Billboard. But is that a reflection of the quality? Of course not. So that's what I say to all the time when I'm covering the charts and things of that nature. But with that being said, click my link to my bio. Let me know one of my social medias. What do you use? Well, who do you think had the better dish track? And ultimately, why do you think Big Sean loves to get overshadowed in these freestyles?
