Starting point is 00:00:03 Now of course this is the first time I've ever gotten into this specific artist and there's a good reason for that or not once you hear my full explanation as Joe G is putting out his fourth studio album titled Piss in the Win. You guys. But anyways, that is coming out under his independent label, which is Palace Creek. And of course, if you don't know, well, Joe G. and a Japanese Australian singer slash songwriter started his own label and somehow managed to have such a phenomenal career under an independent label that he created by himself. Drop a ball for that one. So as far as my first time ever covering this artist, I'm not going to lie, I was extremely impressed by extremely. I mean, I listened to multiple tracks even before I reviewing this because of course after I listened to pixelated kisses,
Starting point is 00:01:06 that if you don't know, it's currently the 85th most play track in the world. And as far as future chart prediction, November 8th, this song is set to be the 81st most played track in the world. So when it comes to pixelated kisses, it's only going up as far as the foreseeable future. But when it comes to me personally, listening to his music for the first time ever, I'm not going to lie to you as far as the weekend's album. and I was actually trying to find it. So as far as the weekends album, hurry up tomorrow being my favorite album of 2025,
Starting point is 00:01:44 and the main thing I was going to look at it. Yeah, that came out January 31st. Safe to say we're 11 months into 2025. And it's only, as far as in this entirety, there's only one other entire month left in the year. I think the weekends hurry up tomorrow may be my favorite album of 2025. So the reason why I'm saying that
Starting point is 00:02:02 in the midst of Jogi coverage is because listening to his music, especially his pixelated kisses track. I'm not going to say I get weekend vibes, but the atmospheric production, along with the writing, along with the delivery of the, like sonically, it could be off-putting for some, because it's very much experimental, right?
Starting point is 00:02:28 It's experimental R&B, I would say. And the way that some tracks are shortened, I think wouldn't go over well with a lot of people, but he definitely gives me a lot of the weekend vibes. But of course, the main thing I wanted to say is that his sound is very unique. Now, I'm not saying that it's mixed like the weekends albums or it's mixed the greatest. All I'm saying is the sound that he went for and that's working for him. I think he nailed that. And it's more of a movie, TV show type of sound that he comes with every single time, which I think is phenomenal.
Starting point is 00:03:04 I always like that type of sound, which is why the weekends hurry up tomorrow is my favorite album of the year. So when it comes to that, getting back into pixelated kisses, right? That track is doing phenomenal, his best performing track by far, but he did release a single along with pixelated kisses as it only gets better is the other track he released. And of course, that was released yesterday. So you have if it only gets better, you have pixelated kisses. and then of course pissing the win is coming out February 6th, 2026. I'm not going to lie to you. That's a crazy title.
Starting point is 00:03:41 Now, this is a PG podcast, but if I was a mature rating, a studio, the people who like rate the films before they come out, if I was to rate that title, you're getting mighty close, mighty close to a PG-13 rating. Because, of course, piss and win, you know, technically, that's very provocative. But I don't know if the little Timies would pick up. that up our first glance right but if you keep repeating it you know then we have a problem anyways
Starting point is 00:04:09 all jokes aside i really like georgie's music that's the main thing i was going to get across as far as what he's been up to uh not much which is why a lot of people are in anticipate which which is why a lot of people are anticipating this piss in the wind track as when you look at his discography he definitely does not oversaturate the market right he has four albums out one that came out in uh 2018 uh February 14th, one that came out in October 26 of 2018. Then you had nectar that came out September 25th of 2020. And then of course you had smithereens that came out November 4th of 2022. So when it comes to albums, he definitely spaces it out.
Starting point is 00:04:51 And this may be the longest hiatus we've ever seen from him as far as putting out an album. Because it seems like it's a two year hiatus for every single album except for this one that it would be four years instead of two. So I think this is going to go over well with his fan base. It's one of the more interesting experiences I've had listening to a newer artist because the sound is very unique. It's not like copying anybody. The only reason I brought up the weekend is because of sonically how pleasing it is. But, you know, as far as his sound, it's very unique to him.
Starting point is 00:05:25 And when it comes to that, there was something else I was going to get into. I already talked about sound. but the main thing as far as his album oh yeah the features that's what i was going to get to the features for this album you have the one and only give you on yes ladies and gentlemen you heard me correctly this man has give you on apparently on this upcoming album right this is the uh list that's been given like official credits via album music metadata so this is like not rumored it's not he say she say this is actual facts as far as the feature list so After listening to Joji, I'm immensely more excited on what the Give-E-On and Joe-Gie track is going to sound like.
Starting point is 00:06:13 And then you have Yeat on this album. You have Don Tolliver. You have four-bats. You have, well, artists that give-you-on. You have B-N-Y-X. I would like to hear that. As a producer collaboration, I think that would be fired as far as hearing what B-N-X does with Joji sound. Kenny beats Dylan Brady.
Starting point is 00:06:32 I think that's how you said, Dylan Brady. And then of course is other collaborations, other collaborators that are teased but not like announced yet. Some people think it's Charlie X-E-X. Some people think it's Omar Apollo and, you know, that's not. So that those are the rumors as far as Charlie X-E-S and Omar Apollo. But the feature list that I just went through, that's 100% confirmed.
Starting point is 00:06:56 You have Yeat, Don Tolliver, Four-Bats, Give-Y-N-X. Kenny beats Dylan Brady and of course the album once again comes out February 6th of 2026. So with that being said, click my link tree in my bio. Let me know one of my social medias. Are you going to check out Jogie's music now that I gave him such a glowing review, right? And at the end of the day, when it comes to Jogi and his sound, who would you want to see collaborate with Joe? Oji.
