Discover the song history: written and recorded in just 10 minutes in 1970 out of homesickness for Puerto Rican traditions, featuring only 19 words for maximum radio appeal. Analytic Dreamz breaks down its commercial impact, from modest initial reception to perennial holiday dominance—peaking at No. 6 on the Hot 100, RIAA Platinum certification, over 829 million Spotify streams by early 2025, billions in radio impressions, and induction into the Grammy Hall of Fame. This bilingual classic bridges cultures, returns to charts annually, and remains a global Christmas standard covered by artists like Michael Bublé and BTS.Privacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

1970, feeling homesick and lonely in a Los Angeles studio.
But then, you know what I'm saying?
I was like, damn, look.
He missed his family in New York and Puerto Rico.
Mm-mm-mm.
But then he recalled a joyful Christmas Eve with caroling, rum, and traditional foods.
You guys.
Prompted by his producer to create an original
for his holiday album safe to say he made such a simple bilingual tune and no one not discrediting
their track i say simple because when he recorded it it initially took him 10 minutes yes ladies
and gentlemen approximately 10 minutes because this particular hit a mammoth of success when
you talk about tracks in the ecosystem of music was created
in 10 minutes and contained a whopping 19 total words.
I know that ain't who I think it is.
And of course this particular track was made to ensure that radio play would happen
and spread the unity as quote, it was expressing the joy that I felt on Christmas
and the fact that I felt very lonely.
But then, you know what I'm saying?
I was like 10.
Sad day in history.
gentlemen but then of course this particular track we're talking about rose up on the charts and no
not only did it rise on the charts it initially had its peak it initially i got to say it again
because i lost my place it initially had its peak in 2020 to 2021 and number six during the holiday
seasons ladies and gentlemen felice navidad was one of the greatest
tracks is one of the greatest Christmas tracks of all time and it was hopefully I'm
pronouncing his name right Feliciano's first top 10 hit since 1968 now of course who we're
talking about is Jose Feliciano and I believe I'm pronouncing his name right and when it comes to
him specifically he was blind since birth but analytic dreams video on Spotify to see the video
along with the audio because shout out to his stylist because they threw it on them pause
As that man dripped out and there's nothing y'all can say about it as far as his fit right here.
As he has the Christmas hat going on, you know, even me getting in the Christmas spirit.
That's one of my favorite decorations, especially when I'm trying to convey the Christmas jolly spirit.
All right, I get the point.
So anyways, then you know, he has the gold chain.
And then he also, I don't know what that is, the robe was scarf around his black button up.
You know, basically, I'm letting y'all know that.
A blind man threw it on.
So what excuse do you have to keep dressing the way that you've been dressing in the past?
All right, my fault.
So with that being said, when getting back into Jose Feliciano, the main thing I was going to talk about was, of course, Feliz Navidad, that is currently the 16th most played track in the world.
And as far as future chart predictions, slated for December 27th, is set to be the 15th most played track in the world.
So it's continuing as dominance is one of the most successful Christmas tracks of all times.
and getting back into Jose as an artist as a musician not only was he awarded best new
artists at the Grammys not only does he have nine Grammys not only was he inducted into the
Grammy Hall of Fame but of course the whole bilingual approach made it to where he had his
most successful track as far as the acoustic cover of Light My Fire that peaked at number
three on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1960s
So now you look at an artist from the 70s making all type of music, well really the 60s, making all type of music and then really having this notorious mass effect with the Feliz Navidad track.
And of course I just told you the background on how that track was created.
And of course his producer Rick Jarrett basically pushed him until, you know, making a specific track like that.
And like I said, he recorded it in 10 minutes contains a total of 19 words.
It's actually crazy.
And then the main reason for it only having a total.
of 19 words was to maximize radio accessibility and not only was it recognized but he was also
recognized by ASCAP as one of the top 25 most played holiday songs well feliz
navidad Feliz Navidad was recognized as one of the top 25 most played holiday songs and of course
for Jose Feliciano as an artist he was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2010
So whenever getting into the Christmas spirit, I wanted to dive into the particular Christmas
tracks that are, that is currently notoriously affecting the masses.
It's safe to say, Feliz Navidad is another track that overall uplifts the Christmas spirit
and lets you know that is a time to be thankful, of course, with Thanksgiving.
It's a time to be joyful and, more importantly, it's a time to reflect on the year and, of course,
spend time with your loved ones.
So that would be you say, click my link to you in my bio.
Let me know on one of my social medias.
What do you think about Feliz Navi Dai as far as equality aspect?
And of course it's going to be phenomenal.
So let me ask another question.
In your years on earth, what is your favorite Christmas anthem of all time?
