Now of course, when it comes to one of the most impactful songs in Mexico currently, more specifically, being the 26 most place song in the world that is currently held by none other than Joseon Log.
As if you don't know, this is the first time getting into this particular artist.
And of course, over here at notorious mass effect, we do get into the gaming and music IPs that notoriously affect the masses.
So when it comes to Jose and Log, starting out his musical career when he blew up in 2015
as far as with an acoustic version of cha-cha-cha-cha, not cha-cha-slide, you know, just in case
you know you got that misconstrued.
Don't know why.
But he blew up on YouTube in 2015 with the acoustic version of Chach-Chai.
And this was from his 2016 debut EP, I think it's Al.
Blotty Demi.
I think that's how he said.
And basically, when it comes to his hundreds of millions of streams slash views, I believe
not only is he notoriously affected the messages overall, because when he gets into the marketing
strategies in the second, but in Mexico specifically, I think he has found himself a classic.
I kid you not.
Because fun fact, I actually listened to the track, and I thought it was pretty good.
you probably say it to you said well you know it's only been around for quite some time
and now it's time to get into that as when you look at the time it came out it was october 14
2016 and ladies and gentlemen you know i was looking at my handy dandy watch
safe to say some time has passed since then and guess what people are still enamored by this
doma song and personally when i listen to it i really enjoyed it now obviously when it comes to
music where it's in a whole different language.
I listen for like sonically is it pleasing,
the structure of the track.
And of course, if I enjoyed it even more,
I dive deeper into the actual meaning.
So when it comes to this particular track,
I very much enjoyed it to the point where
I even put it on my playlist.
As I really enjoy a lot of different genres,
especially with the continuation of this podcast doing phenomenal,
you know, due to y'all's support.
You know what I'm saying?
But also, when it comes to this particular track,
Doma, and specifically it is specifically dives into a subject matter that I've said time and time again
increases the chances of it becoming a hit. If you, no matter what genre you're in,
if you make a song about this subject matter, you already know you have an exponentially higher
chance of having a hit. Now you already know what that subject matter is, is love, of course.
So this particular Tractoma explores obsessive and emotionally intense relationships, emotional dependence, love and vulnerability, and a hero versus villain metaphors.
Okay, hold up now.
You know what I'm saying?
Hold up now.
Just look at the state of gaming.
He ain't even gaming.
That's a fire gaming bar, but you know, technically every, you know, source of medium of entertainment has a hero, villain type aesthetic.
Of course, I had to take it to gaming because you already know.
But I very like that aspect of the song.
And the premise, the idea of this specific track is taming or surrendering one's heart to another person.
So I think not only is it song about love, not only has it been around for a decade,
but it's still one of the more classic tracks you can hear in the Latin community specifically,
as once again, it's a 26 most played track in Mexico.
So safe to say this track is more than just a song on somebody's playlist.
Somebody out there really enjoys this and probably plays it day to day in their entire life.
So I think when it comes to this specific track, it's about time we get into the marketing strategy.
So the main factors for this specific track lasting for over a decade is the Spotify
recommendation algorithm, the YouTube audio uploads because of course, not only,
is Josian Log doing an acoustic version,
Analytic Dreams video on Spotify
to sit the video along with the audio
because I'm currently playing his acoustic version.
And then of course, when you look at this,
he's basically him, I don't know what he's writing
on the tablet right now, I kid you not.
But basically, this actually is a pretty cool throwback.
Those things that you can write on
and then you can erase it and keep writing again.
All right, my fault, let me get back to the point.
So basically, he's making some type of image
on him expressing people's love for the specific track.
Now, that's why he titled this.
No one likes DOMA pains, right?
And he's apparently, you know, just celebrating everybody thoroughly enjoying the song
because this is 10 years after.
And four weeks ago, he still made another DOMA post.
And here's another one right here.
The one I started with six weeks ago, he made another post.
And he literally titled this.
Hold up.
Let me switch my singing.
So he literally titled this.
No one's request.
Well, you know, somebody was requesting it because it's still one of the most played tracks in the world.
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I mean?
You know what I mean?
You know, it's as a pretty huge accomplishment.
You know what I'm saying?
No need to sell yourself short on that one.
Anyways, with that means him, he, Josian Long titled this saying,
at no one's request, here's an acoustic version of DOMA, March 5th, 2026.
dedicated to all those naive people who, like me, ever believe hearts could be tamed.
Turns out not.
Oh, that's sad.
You know what I'm saying?
You guys.
See, that's the problem.
But anyways, this was six weeks ago.
This is like his official account.
This is not just a fan account.
You've got verification.
Has his whole link up here and everything.
If you just want to see his Spotify, YouTube links and everything, here it is right here.
So basically, this is his official account.
and he's still posting about DOMA,
even though he does have music out,
so I might as well shout that out.
As when I was listening to the track DOMA
and being thoroughly entertained,
he does have another track out titled Como Agua Para Chocolate.
And that came out March 19th,
and of course he is promoting DOMA as right now.
So I think 10 years later,
this track is just bigger than life.
I think this is the ultimate scenario.
of trying to have an audience that's captivated by one track being captivated about all your
musical creations.
But no, to be fair, he does have other tracks that's even more popular.
So he has bass.
So that's 427 million streams.
Chai Chau Chaua has 762 million streams, the one we talked about earlier.
So, you know, when it comes to Doma, Doma is very successful.
But of course, as an artist, he still has his own listenership.
As he has 13.3 million monthly listeners.
So that's no small accomplishment.
So, you know, when it comes to Jose and Log, I think he is definitely in the run for having one of the most viral tracks that came out in the past because 2016 is a long time ago.
And for that track to still be notoriously affecting the masses, I mean, that's a humongous feat.
So once again, getting back into the marketing strategies, I believe, not only is the TikTok edit helping out, but apparently,
and all my anime connoisseurs, you would have to co-sign this
because when it comes to a lot of anime themed edits
using this specific DOMA track, apparently there's a lot of them.
Who would have thunk?
So all my anime connoisseurs out there,
you may have even heard this specific track
and one of your many anime edits that you've seen.
So that's been a driving marketing factor for this track.
And of course, user-generated social media content
where it's basically people posting something and putting this track as the soundtrack
to whatever specific posts they have for IG, Twitter, etc.
So I think DOMA is getting a crazy authentic push in the market.
And that is why currently it's the 26 most play track in Mexico.
Now, when it comes to his biggest audiences, it's definitely Mexico, but it's also Argentina
and of course Latin America focused streaming playlist.
So overall, it's not the biggest track in the world because no billboard hot 100 entry,
no UK single chart entry, no major mainstream crossover chart success.
But this should show anyone that an independent artist like Jose and Locke is putting out a track
title, DOMA at 2016, still being able to make content about it in the year of 2026 and
his fans be enamored by it.
I think that just showcases that if you really truly have a passion,
for something that you should always keep working on it.
Because, of course, it's not like Joseon Loggers has been failing since DOMA.
I mean, he has a lot of other tracks that's successful.
But when it comes to the longevity of DOMA specifically, I mean, it's just a testament
to always follow your passion because you never know how you can end up affecting the masses,
especially with your creation that maybe you're being hesitant on as far as putting it out
to the world, maybe you're doubting yourself.
All of these examples, all of these artists, games, et cetera, that I talk about on this
platform basically are examples of what it looks like to follow your passion and actually believe in
yourself. So that being said, Josian Logg showed another reason why you should always believe in
yourself in your passion. So with that being said, click my link to show my bio to follow me on my
social medias. And of course, if you're on Spotify, comment down below who's your favorite Latin
artist currently. And if you're a Joseon Log fan, what is your favorite track outside of
DOMA from him.
