Starting point is 00:00:00 Who would have thunk in 2023, I would have been excited for new Joyner Lucas music. And I say that with all due respect, because this man time and time again proves me wrong. I don't know if there's another artist who consistently puts out good music in the lead up to an album besides Joyner Lucas. Like obviously, y'all know, y'all know who my goat is in Aubrey Graham and also in Abel Tuss Faye. When it comes to the most underappreciated, underestimated artists in the game consistently giving us high quality music. I mean, this is the same guy that's given us Lucky You featuring M&M. He's given us Raman and OJ. He's giving us your heart featuring J-Co.
Starting point is 00:00:57 He's given us so many tracks that's done numbers and just quality-filled tracks that at this point, he has to, I don't see another reason to why he doesn't get his just due than him being on or not being on a major label. Like if I was to look at it right now. Because in general, I don't think a lot of people understand what I mean by being independent. that means you don't have a machine behind you to pay um radio outlets for promotion so now you have to do it all on your own you have to be the one that goes out and drum up not even controversy just drum up some type of anticipation and some type of uh some type of uh appeal i'm trying to look this up give me a second because when you're independent right i think in general okay i'm sorry i'm sorry i'm
Starting point is 00:02:06 Sorry, that's just too many pauses. It's my fault. So, Jordan Lucas, and talking about him being not, or lack of being on a major label, he's definitely signed to, or he was signed to Atlantic Records. But then he departed from Atlantic Records in 2018. So he is now fully independent. Okay, that's probably why. And he said some of his reasons for leaving Atlantic was because of him wanting more
Starting point is 00:02:32 creative control over his music, which is usually the reason. And since leaving Atlanta Records, he's released several, I mean several successful singles, such as, or an album, such as ADHD and Evolution. And he's include, he's collab, think about this, he's an independent artist, collaborating, collaborating with Jay Cole, Little Baby, and Eminem. imagine being an independent artist collabing with Eminem. Now I'm not saying it doesn't happen. I'm not saying you can never do it. But I think Eminem definitely charges a fee
Starting point is 00:03:13 when it comes to collaborating with different artists. Now, you have Jordan Lucas pulling off getting a young boy collab. If y'all know the amount of artists that will literally kill somebody for a young boy feature, because in general, Joanna Lucas is not one of those type of artists
Starting point is 00:03:33 when you look at him and you're just like, okay, well, he's going to get all the artists to jump on his album. Like, you don't really, that's where the underestimated part comes in. You don't look at Jonah Lucas and think he can just pull off any feature he puts his mind to. But after collaborating with young boy, Eminem and Jay Cole, I mean, at that point, this man has a whole plethora of artists that he can pull in to make music with. because the respect amongst his peers is immense,
Starting point is 00:04:02 but the respect amongst the fans isn't as big as you would think it should be, which is where the underestimated and underappreciated comes in. Even for me, every time I listen to a Jordan Lucas, I'm like, ah, here comes Jonah Lucas with another track, then I listen to it. And it's just straightfire. So, Jordan Lucas continues to put the work in, continues to put our quality heavy tracks, continues to collaborate with some of the biggest giants in the hip-hop energy,
Starting point is 00:04:34 and he got a more than solid NBA Young Boy feature, which is just 10 times better than any other artists that you would probably see him collaborating with. So in general, when Jordan Lucas is putting out music, I think at this point we can already say it's a certified banger and a certified classic, because the under underappreciating
Starting point is 00:05:01 Jordan Lucas has to stop at some point and I think after people listen to this track with a Jonah Lucas and NBA young boy titled Cut You Off I think they will finally give Jordan Lucas his flowers So click my link to in my bio let me know one of my social medias
Starting point is 00:05:17 What do you think about Joyna Lucas and NBA young boy joining forces I love the head adjective joining forces to drop a new single titled cut you off and will you be given it a listen and if you have is it fire or trash
