Starting point is 00:00:00 The sad reality that most rappers face is their music being leaked by fans, disgruntled employees, hackers, which can also be employees or fans. But ultimately, it's just the nature of rap because there's a reason why other genres, aka Taylor Swift, obviously the cream of the crop. So it's more of an outlier than most other artists. But let's just say random musician A is from rap. Random musician B is from country. If they turn in their music to be put in vinals or merch to bundle up for the eventual release of their album,
Starting point is 00:00:57 not even a week or two weeks later, the entirety of the album would be into the fans' hands and guess which artist that would be from? Rapper, well, artist A. Basically, I say that to say hip-hop fans act way more aggressive
Starting point is 00:01:17 with leaking and giving music that's not delivered to them, but taking it from them via hacking, whether it's a producer who's mad at an artist, whether it's just a fan that somehow got his hands on unreleased music
Starting point is 00:01:36 sometimes these rappers like to boast about certain features they have and it ends up leaking. I mean, look no further than when Trippy Red notoriously was a feature on God's plan. And let's just say after Trippy Red's producer leaked the track God's plan, somehow Trippy Red wasn't on the final version of the track.
Starting point is 00:02:03 So obviously artists take this seriously. If you leak their music, it could be a lot of repercussions to be had. But finding who leaks music is more of a jungle course in itself than most
Starting point is 00:02:19 other facets of the music industry. Obviously, if somebody makes a track nowadays is even getting muddy in the gray area with AI, but you can tell whether an artist is making the track or it's a reference track. Another example I can use, like when Quentin Miller had a bunch of reference tracks for the goat, Drake,
Starting point is 00:02:44 and it leaked when his notorious beef with Meek Mill was happening. There's a lot of reasons for leaked music happen. Well, there's a lot of reasons for leaked music, but none of them I think benefits the actual artists at the end of the day. and especially with you swear with him passing away and his estate receiving all of the revenue and the royalties of his music is even more unfortunate when fans seem to not care
Starting point is 00:03:15 about the profits or the revenues going directly to his family. So what am I talking about? Obviously this is not the most pressing news, but it is news nonetheless because I feel like this needs to
Starting point is 00:03:37 be highlighted as about two weeks ago, if I could look at the timestamp. Yeah, about two weeks ago but Scotty leaked. And if you don't know, this was originally supposed to be like the single for Juice World's upcoming post hummus album.
Starting point is 00:03:55 And apparently it was recorded in 2018, obviously because I think 2020 is when I'll have to look up when he passed away but basically what I want to focus on is this song was recorded a while ago it was leaked in 22 I believe
Starting point is 00:04:14 so it's been out but for some reason now DJ's scheme which is one of the producers for Juice Swirl kind of came out and he just had an honest reaction to what most musicians have whenever music gets leaked
Starting point is 00:04:31 whenever their music gets a leak he basically said quote biscottie leaked i guess is i guess that is not correct english anyways i'm gonna give my own uh uh grammatically correct like phrase for this biscotti leaked i guess that's just how it goes forget crying about these leaks we should celebrate it shows how bad the world really needs it to keep in touch with Juice World. I never seen anyone, I've never seen any fans go crazy. I'm telling you all, this is beyond atrocious.
Starting point is 00:05:13 If you go, shameless plug, analytic dreams video, to see the video version of this segment. But basically, this man forgot how to type completely. I never seen any fans go crazy for leaks like Juice World, but it's such a beautiful thing because I know the love for these songs,
Starting point is 00:05:32 come from your hearts. Thank you guys for key. Imagine it's, imagine in one breath saying that it's a, it's a bad thing, but on the other hand being like, well, I guess that just shows how much you, y'all love, like, that's like, that's like you throwing a concert, right? And in the whole concert being like pirated or something. And so people just watch it online instead of paying in person. You won't be like, well, I guess y'all just really love my current concert that y'all want to
Starting point is 00:06:01 see it from wherever you are in the world. No, I want you to show up and pay money because I had to pay money to put on this show. Just like Juice World probably or somebody, somebody pockets are affected by this leaking. Anyways. And then he ended the quote by saying, thank you guys for keeping him alive. This brings me back to when we were all together. I love you. I love you all.
Starting point is 00:06:26 Mm-mm-mm. That man lying through his teeth. Well, anyway, so Baskatti in the air is officially leaked. It basically, it leaked back, it leaked a while ago. But now, I guess it's like a remastered version, whatever. And not going to lie, the song is straightfire. I'll listen to it. Of course I had to listen to it.
Starting point is 00:06:47 Like, come on now. Like, if y'all going to listen to it, I'm going to listen to it too. I mean, I'm a huge juice world fan. I've said a plethora of times that Death Race for Love is one of my favorite hip-hop albums of all time. But anyways, Biscotty in the air is very interesting because the track is fire. it doesn't really have too much of the sad depressing stuff that usually goes on with the Juice World single
Starting point is 00:07:08 So it's one of my favorite singles because I don't know what it is About Juice World music But it's like ever since he died All his music involving him like passing away from Or drug abuse just hits even harder It's kind of like when Take A was rapping about Being on the race because he actually was
Starting point is 00:07:28 It was kind of like that Like it just hits harder because you know it actually is an event that occurred and took a life. So it's one of those things where it's a unfortunate. By the other hand, I guess if you are a fan of a Juice World type persona, you have to accept the good with the bad. So I think the biggest thing for this is just me breaking down why leaks even happen with rappers because a lot of people don't even understand how music even gets leaked.
Starting point is 00:07:57 It is a very collaborative process to make music. and a lot of musicians just, you know, they exchange hard drives, you know, sometimes they use the cloud. Sometimes the music is stored directly into the computers, which, you know, comes into the hard drives or the cloud, like I just said. And then the fans, they hack it and upload it to the internet. Sometimes employees are rappers or record labels, you know, of course you got to go through, if you're on a major label, you have to go through your major labels to give them their music, make sure they can put it out on all DSPs. and playlist so it gets the most amount of streams they could get mad give it to somebody to leak and then you have it so so many different ways that music could get leaked nowadays that it's just unfortunate at the end of the day but i wanted to shine the light on kind of how this happens
Starting point is 00:08:46 because a lot of people are in the dark on how this occurs but hopefully with this segment i was able to shine the light on the process of music getting leaked if not click my link tree in my bio let me know one of my social medias do you have any specific questions about how music is leaked and if not then the muskotty track by juice world may or may not be in my description box below
