People always say things like this song means a lot to me.
Or, quote, it changed my life.
When discussing a piece of music they're listening to,
this particular song, Lace It, truly gives that a new meaning to me
because the day we recorded was also the last time I ever saw Juice.
Every day that moment gets further away.
And I trade this or any other song we did to have him back.
I didn't think I would be crying while writing this, but here we are.
Jared, you are talent that will never be matched.
Your laugh and spirit are infectious.
I'm going to play this song so loud.
you can hear this in heaven tonight.
Dot, dot, dot, we miss you.
And then, Benny Blanco goes on to say,
Marshall, which is M&L,
I don't even know where to start.
I remember exactly where I was
the first time I saw the video for my name is,
it stopped me in tracks.
I knew in that very moment that I had to make music
and that I was going to dedicate my entire life to it.
You paved the way for people to be different
and to not feel weird about being an outcast.
Both me and Juse wouldn't be who we are without you.
Dot, dot, dot, thank you.
So basically, Benny Blanco took to IG
to write a heartfelt message over the track laced
that contains performances from Juice World and M&L.
Basically, me reading that is also putting it into perspective
how respected Juice World is in today's society.
Having the likes of the Eminem put a feature on the last Juice World verse that you ever
received and for it to be this impactful because I want to read you out a little bit of Eminem's
verse right? Because it goes right into Juice World, it's basically saying we lost gangsta boo and
Pimsy Prince and Michael Mix and NyQuil with prescriptions, Vicks, Addictions, like
it's a PG podcast, so I'm not going to say to expedives. Like a forgetting, well, like a
a bleeping vicious cycle. Juice, we will forever miss you to the younger generation. I ain't lecturing you,
but man, just got to be careful when you. And it goes right into the chorus of Juice World,
saying roll it up, lace it, pop a few, chase it. That was so impactful to me simply for the fact
that the track starts off like that. So you kind of are wondering what type of teaching moment
they're going to have with this track with this type of chorus in subject matter and the artist
who's performing the subject matter what happened to him and his outcome but then m&m verse literally
ties it all together in a way that makes the track not only high quality and one of the highest
quality tracks that came out this year but it makes it in a way to get your messes out there but also
have a replayable chorus that all the kids quote unquote are used to hearing for
from a juice swirl.
So in that aspect, I think they did their thing
when it comes to that creation of this track Lacey
that's currently out on DSPs.
If you don't know, to bring it full circle,
Benny Blanco, who I started off reading his IG post,
produced this track titled Lacey with Juice World and M&M on it.
So with that being said, let's get into some of the reception
about the specific track as personally already gave you
my sentiments on it.
and with that
I'll kind of want to get into what other people
are saying as if you don't know
LACID was number one
on Spotify's Rap Caviar
playlist so not only is it
an impactful
track but
rap caviar made it a point
to put it at the top of the playlist
because that's important when it comes to streams
and things of that nature
also this very conscious track
because at the end of day I know the chorus
is very in tune for
what Juice World usually gives us as Juice World fans.
But Eminem's track,
Eminem's verse,
puts it into perspective how dangerous it is to quote unquote lace it.
So with that,
I'm surprised to see that it debuted at number five
on the Apple Music US charts,
but just one of those things where
icons in this music industry still in 2023
giving Juice World his props and due diligence
simply because of the immense talent he possessed
and showcase on a daily basis.
I mean, this man, the man we're talking about freestyle
for an entire album that you can see right now
if you go on YouTube and look it up.
Just type in Juice World freestyle
and best believe me, you won't get,
you won't be confused on which one it is.
I mean, you freestyle for an hour.
I know other rappers freestyle for three,
two to three minutes and those be written.
literally Juice World freestyles off of the top of the head really bringing back the little Wayne-esque
type energy to freestyle it I don't really have anything else to say um just a huge tribute to
juice world I didn't even know if I wanted to cover it because it's such a heavy topic in general
and to touch on it or to give more information on it it would just simply come back to
be conscious of what you're taking and also be health cognizant in terms of wanting long term,
well, in terms of wanting longevity, because paying attention to your health will deter you.
I think deter you is the right word.
I don't know.
Basically, it would change, it would change your direction from certain things that could be harmful,
harmful to your body.
So when it comes to
taking care of your health
and being health conscious,
then other things that
are not as
helpful and positive
long term, even short term
to your body, but they give you certain
wanted effects as far as whether it's a high
or social
acceptance,
whether it's all of those things combined, right?
You being health conscious and getting more in tune with your body,
whether it's working out, drinking more water.
See, now I sound like a doctor.
That's why I didn't want to happen.
But basically it's real talk because people aren't as focused on the health as they should be.
They say health is wealth, but as you grow up,
you learn to realize that that's a real,
That's one of the realest things you can hear from a person.
So I think it's basically it.
So the track Laced, Juice Whirl, Eminem, you have to listen to his track,
listen to Eminem's verse to get what I was talking about as far as the impactful quality of his verse.
And after you listen to that, click my link tree in my bio, in my body, my body, what?
Click my link tree in my bio.
Let me know in one of my social medias.
what do you think about Eminem's verse on Lace it and what stood out to you as far as the overall message of the track
