First off, we have to start by giving some flowers to the one, the only, Junkuk,
as he just broke a massive record not only for Spotify when regarding streaming,
but also in general.
Because if you don't know, Junkuk is out here breaking all type of records becoming the first
South Korean solo artists to land three top 10 singles.
And of course, you could put the UK tag on it as far as the UK top 10 singles.
But at the end of that day, this man is the first South Korean solo artist to land three top 10 singles.
So with that being said, everybody and their mom is trying to get track with Junkook.
I mean, you see him with Lotto.
I mean, you've been seeing him with Jack Harlow, of course.
and then there was Central C
and there's many more to come
I believe as I believe
he dropped two new
remixes featuring David
Guetta and M.K., if I'm not mistaken.
But the purpose of this segment
is to talk about his latest
or his upcoming
release titled, Standing Next
to You, as this will be
the precursor
to his solo debut
on the Tonight Show
starring Jimmy Fallon, of course, on November 6th.
So, Junkuk is gearing up for that.
And also he's gearing up for his first solo album titled Golden,
which if you don't know, is put out under big hit music entertainment,
which is based out of Korea.
But at the end of day, when you have a count managed by Big Hit,
as you see right here, I think it comes to a sort of,
certain understanding that if you blew up under this major label, sometimes you want to stay
under the mentorship that got you to this point. And when it comes to music, that ideology
is non-existent, just to put it plain and simple. It's non-existent. People get hot, and then
they realize that, oh, I could get this more acclaim of major label instead of staying with you,
that got me here in the first place
because obviously you don't know what you're doing
because this major label has been on the top
but you're the one who got me here
but I don't understand how that type of logic plays out
but it happens often in the music industry
so I'm very interested to see Junkh
Cook being handled by big hit
and I will wonder if any American major labels
will step in to try to take Junk Cook away from them.
The reason I'm saying that is because
you don't get a Jack Harlow
you don't get a lotto without some type of brand acknowledgement happening, right?
Whoever manages Lotto, whoever manages Jack Harlow, they probably are also sending, you know, things to Junk
Cook for letting their artists be on one of his singles as that's a huge look for a Jack Harlow
and for a lotto.
I don't care what y'all think.
Just because we're in the States doesn't mean we have the biggest musicians.
Junk Cook by far.
is one of the best performing artists of 2023.
And that goes back to my point of him having the top three,
the first South Korean solo artist to land three singles in the top 10.
All right.
So with that being said, he's rolling out to his album title Golden,
set to be released tonight at midnight.
also his previous collaborations with Lotto,
which is called 7.
Broke records, of course,
becoming the fastest song ever on Spotify
to reach one billion streams.
I know.
The fastest song ever to reach one billion streams on Spotify.
And then Junk Cook's collaboration,
including 3D with Jack Hollow,
and Too Much with Central C and the Kila Roy,
have also been or had significant impact
on the charts as it makes him the first Korean
artists to have three singles in the top
10 of the official UK singles chart
and I keep reiterating that fact
because that is insane. Like that's literally
paving the way as a pioneer. Like imagine the first hip-hop
artist to ever start competing with the country
and huge rock musicians. That's the same lane
that we should look at Junk Cook when it comes to K-pop.
And with that being said,

Let me know in one of my social medias.
What do you think about John Cook putting out his track title standing next to you at midnight?
And will you be giving it a listen?
