Starting point is 00:00:00 Now when it comes to one of the most impactful musicians of all time, and yes, ladies and gentlemen, I'm saying of all time because of course that's the type of respect I put on Bieber Vellie's name. Even though y'all say I'm glazing, I'm letting y'all know that Justin Bieber is probably one of the most successful artists that we've seen ever. You guys. See, that's the problem. I even though Kanye may not agree with that. I do have to let y'all know as far as Justin Bieber putting out his latest album, it is titled Swag. And of course, it is 21 tracks for 54 minutes and lent the Bieber Valley fan base is seemingly enjoying it as this album was released under ILH production, which is under exclusive license to Def Jam recordings. And of course, it's under the Big Dog of the music industry, which is Universal Music Group.
Starting point is 00:00:49 If you don't know, ILH production is actually under Los Angeles and it operates with Def Jam, like I just said. But, you know, it's out of Los Angeles. So with it promoting and being associated to distributing this album like swag, it's very interesting as a lot of these singles are going up on the charts as Justin Bieber currently has the fifth. I mean the fifth most popular album. Actually, I switched that up. I messed that up. He has the fifth most popular track in the world currently with his track Daisies.
Starting point is 00:01:25 So at that being said, we are already. know that Justin Bieber is one of the more notorious artists we've ever seen in life. But ultimately having the fifth most played track in the world as far as Daisy, having the 32nd most played track currently as far as Yukon, those are two of the most popular tracks off of his album currently. And then of course with his entire body of work as far as swag, that is the fifth most played project in the world as of right now, which is a huge accomplishment, especially since it's been out for multiple weeks. don't know this album came out July 11th and obviously well we're a month into it and he still
Starting point is 00:02:05 has the 10th the fifth most played project in the world so when you look at the charts obviously it's not a gauge of quality i'm just comparing consumption amongst the goats because no matter what they tell you as far as ticket prices as far as you go into a label asking for a certain advance they're probably gonna add they're probably gonna look at certain analytics to see how you shape up to the rest of the music feel i love an artist say, oh, the numbers don't matter. It's like an NBA, well, actually, NBA players kind of do say this sometimes. They be like, oh, the stats don't matter. Look at how well I'm clapping for my teammates. Look at the morale I'm raising on the team. Like at the end of the day, when you go
Starting point is 00:02:42 with your agent to negotiate a new contract, you ain't saying how many claps you had. You're saying you put up 30, 40 plus points a game. You know what I'm saying? So at the end of the day, analytics definitely matter. And with that being said, it's not the only thing that matters. I think that's what they should add as a caveat because obviously I say all the time because I cover the charts, quality does not equal sales. Sales doesn't automatically equal quality just because something that's high quality doesn't mean it's going to sell. But just because something doesn't sell, it doesn't mean it's absolute garbage. The two do not correlate. So with Justin Bieber seems like his fan base is really enjoying it.
Starting point is 00:03:19 But obviously, objectively speaking, on the analytical side, Justin Bieber's album, Swag, is the fifth most play album in the world. So as far as Justin Bieber, I did want to get into something very interesting as far as him speaking on the music industry. And what we're getting into specifically is this man ultimately talking about his experiences in the music industry and wanted to guard other artists because he's been through a lot, especially being famous from a kid, right? So now he wants to kind of guide other artists to kind of maneuver around some of the pitfalls that he had in his. career and at this point in time he's basically talking about it right here how many opportunities we're going to get with anybody I mean just I'm tearing up thinking about it just with the Kobe situation you know just never know and so I just wanted to be a good example you know and yeah did you feel protective of her
Starting point is 00:04:24 yeah I definitely feel protective of her it was hard for me being that young and being in the industry and not knowing where to turn and everyone, you know, telling me they love me and... Yeah, what's going through it, no cap? Just turn their back on you in a second. So, yeah, it's hard
Starting point is 00:04:44 because I want her to know that... I think he's talking about Billy Elish, if I'm not mistaken. In the day, I don't want to... I'm never going to force myself to be in relationship with her. It has to be natural, right? So I just kind of, you know,
Starting point is 00:04:57 let her do her thing, and if she ever needs me, I'm gonna be here for her, but yeah, just protecting those moments because people take for granted encounters and... Zane Lowe always looked like he's about to give a straight lesson at any university. I ain't gonna cap to you. So, yeah, I just, I just want to protect her, you know? Zane Lowe dressed like he's fiend to give a pop quiz at any moment.
Starting point is 00:05:28 to lose it. I don't want her to, you know, go through anything I went through. I don't wish that upon anybody. So, yeah, if she ever needs me, I'm just a call away. Do you realize how important your story is? And the fact that you're sitting here today telling it, man, I mean, I have to say thank you because someone who's really, every time I have a conversation with someone who's been through this unique type of experience, I'm just, I'm searching for some kind of truth that can help. Right? The fact you're sitting here today and being so honest and open is really important. And I just want to share that with you, man.
Starting point is 00:06:06 It's like this is, you're right. This is an interview. This is an opportunity for you to help. That man, going through it. That ain't going to lie to y'all. This is a specific portion of the interview I wanted to play just to showcase that. Justin Bieber has been a lot in the music industry. Anything but being present in this interview with you, you know.
Starting point is 00:06:22 That's it. That's we got right now. That's what we got. And we got a story to tell. And we got either we're going to be here and we're going to be here and we're going to be authentic and honest and real or we're gonna bullshit and I think it was something else I was wanting to get into and uh and uh and uh this it's revealing and it's gonna bring change to that question that's gonna that's that's that I want to answer you know there's another
Starting point is 00:06:43 question that Zainloh asked i want to answer focus as we said before on the honeymoon phase of your marriage and you're working with poo bear again yeah which is great because you trust him yeah and you got great chemistry and you open the door some really now of course the way he's moving i'm not gonna say what it is is because of course I'm just going to say you know he just a little sad about a story right um so I'm gonna leave my other thoughts you know off the table because you know right now going through a vulnerable moment right but at the end of day as far as getting into beaver valley that's the main thing i wanted to talk about as far as him just ultimately going through a lot of the industry and
Starting point is 00:07:15 i think the artist he was talking about in this interview was uh billy eilish and him basically basically giving her advice so he so she doesn't fall victim to a lot of the certain uh things that happened to Justin Bieber and that's why I'm going to leave it at because of course I've already talked about a lot as far as well I haven't specifically talked about it because that's a lawsuit but ultimately it's a lot of things in the industry that's kept behind wraps and let's just say one of them was kind of uncovered but they only was able to prove a certain part of that and that's very spooky that somebody with so much power has so many allegations against them and ultimately Ultimately, they only found him guilty on certain things as far as sexual activities, right?
Starting point is 00:08:03 When other things was obviously in play, but they wasn't able to prove it. So that's why a lot of things when it comes to the music industry is kept behind bars and kept behind raps because it's hard to prove it. Even the FBI tried, they failed. You know what I'm saying? So ultimately, there's a lot of things that go on in the music industry that a lot of people aren't aware of. So I wanted to play that and basically to show Justin Bieber being vulnerable as far as the experiences that he had in the music industry. But ultimately, I also want to talk about how his album is still the fifth most play project in the world. So, you know, besides him being just a vulnerable human being in this interview with Zane Lo, he's also having some of the most notorious mass effect when it comes to his music offering with his album swag.
Starting point is 00:08:47 So that being said, click my link to my bio. Let me know one of my social media is. What do you think about Justin Bieber's latest album swag? What is your favorite track off of that album? man ultimately do you believe that when it comes to Justin Bieber he's one of the most successful musicians of all time
