Starting point is 00:00:00 So of course, when it comes to Callie Uches, I've covered her several times on the podcast to the point where now I believe as far as the fandom when it comes to Cali Uchus and the respect for notorious Mass Effect, I think there's a common understanding that we both appreciate the immensely talented Callie Uch's. Now, that being said, Calli Uch's fifth studio album is releasing May 9th, 2025 under capital. records and the album title is sincerely comma now with that being said the comma i believe is very interesting now i want to go into the depths of conspiracy theory land of how that could be either toxic or not toxic let's just say sincerely you can follow it out with disrespect or respect you just got to choose your words based on the mood that you're in now all jokes aside when it comes to Calli Uches, she is immensely talented, but also very successful on the charts, as when it comes to her biggest hit, telepathia, telepathia, hopefully I'm saying it right, from Sin Mendo del Armour Why Otros Demonios. It peaked at number 25 on hot 100. And to keep in mind, as far as the Latin community, as I've covered a plethora of artists in the Latin community, such as Chinopacus, Paso Pluma, Group of Frontera and of course Bad Bunny.
Starting point is 00:01:35 Can't forget him, right? Kala Uches had her album, number one on, well, her track, Telepactia, number one on hot Latin songs. And it was driven by the TikTok algorithm. As if you didn't know, when it comes to artists in the music industry, TikTok is a very pivotal tool in a marketing strategy. That is why whenever UMG took away all the artists from TikTok, Big T, I'm talking about Taylor Swift ended up giving an ultimatum let's just put like that to UMG and ultimately just so happened as soon as she gave their ultimatum UMG came to a common ground with TikTok and their artist's return now why am I saying that for Callie Uch's?
Starting point is 00:02:20 I believe when it comes to Calli Uch's being under UMG because if you didn't know Cali UCH's LLC which is of course her company but is under exclusive license to UMG as everybody knows when I talk about UMG and their status and the industry, they have a strong hold on the entire music industry. They are unequivocally, the big dogs. UMG has 63% of the entire music market share, right? And when it comes to that, Playbric Cardi, Lady Gaga, Kendrick Lamar, Sabrina Carpenter, Morgan Wallin, Chappelle Rowan, all of those artists I name currently have albums in the
Starting point is 00:03:06 top 10. Guess who they're all under UMG? Now, of course, there's subsidiaries in place under UMG, but the umbrella effect is what I'm trying to get at. UMG has a, I'm not going to say a monopoly because that's illegal, right? But having 63% of the entire music market share is no easy accomplishment. And they've been doing it for years at this point, maybe even decades at this point. So Calauch's is under UMG. And if you then know, Orchitis or Orcatus, depending on how the pronunciation is debuted with 67,000 units 31,000 in pure sales, 20,000 in vinyl. Now, that is fan support if I've ever seen it. Her biggest opening week per billboard when it was counted January 22nd, 2024.
Starting point is 00:03:53 Now, of course, Red Moon and Venus opened with 55,000 units per billboard March 16, 2023, and send me a meido, meedo, I hope I'm saying that right. saw a delayed surge hitting number 52 on the billboard 200 with 10,000 units in its 15th week per billboard March 9th, 2021. Now, why am I talking about all this? Because she currently has a single out titled Sunshine and Rain that I'm getting to specifically in this follow-up segment. That segment is just letting you know the immense mass effect that Callie Uch's has not only on the music industry, but more specifically in her community, as the Latin community and showcasing how dominant you can be even if you're not a U.S. musician, right?
Starting point is 00:04:46 Because if you think about it, some of the top musicians are from overseas. I mean, you have Drake, you have Justin Bieber, you have the weekend, they're from Canada. I don't know if y'all knew that. You know what I'm saying? But as far as a lot of different musicians influencing what we hear today, it comes from these Latin communities. It comes from these K-pop communities, the vitamin, the Vietnamese. artists. It's a lot of things that go into play that makes it into an overall mass effect that
Starting point is 00:05:12 now your favorite musician is starting to be influenced by them and then incorporating certain elements into their own music. Like a Vietnamese artist I just covered, uh, Hua Menz, uh, I think that's, I think that was men's, I think that's what it was. Let me just make sure. Don't want to mispronounce it. Uh, yeah, so Hoa Menzzi, essentially she was a Vietnamese. singer that put out a phenomenal track in Bach Blaine, right? And the artist that she had on it was also overseas musicians, but guess what? They was rapping over the track. Now, where do we all know where rap started, right? But as far as the trap elements being inspired in their, or being infused into their music, and now rap is starting to branch out and collab with other musicians and
Starting point is 00:05:59 start to get more into a genre blending type of atmosphere, that is where we start to see artists rise, now the creativity is putting on is put it is being put on full display and that's no difference and that's no different when it comes to calli uches as she continues to have genre blending music as mainly if you're new to calli uches what she does is more of a r and b soul with a lot of latin influences right so her spanish language album arcadis featured a lot of just Latin culture throughout, but when it comes to overall recognition, she was nominated for Best Latin Pop Album
Starting point is 00:06:46 at the 2025 Grammys. So that just goes to show you the immense respect she has not only from her peers, because that's basically who votes on the Grammy at the Grammy Awards, but also the masses, as she always puts up numbers whenever she comes out with her album. Now, of course, to satisfy my 35% of the podcast listeners as far as the women,
Starting point is 00:07:09 they probably want to know about her current relationship. Let me just tell you, she is currently dating rapper Don Tolliver, who I've covered a lot, of course. And when it comes to Don Tolliver, I believe he just put out an album not too long ago. Let me see. So Don Tolliver put out an album.
Starting point is 00:07:28 I put in Don Tiller. That is not an artist, my brother. Don Tolliver put out an album. and one of the tracks that he put out as far as the offset and Don Tolliver track worth it. That was a single for it. But when it comes to his album, it was released last year. And more specifically, it was titled Hardstone Psycho released in 2024. And it was June 25th, 20, 24, had 20 tracks, an hour and two minutes.
Starting point is 00:08:00 Also, he currently has a single out with Jay Hopeless. from BTS who I've also covered a bunch of times and their track LV bag is currently out on DSPs and that was released this year. That was actually his latest offering that came out February 21st, 2025. Now why am I saying all that?
Starting point is 00:08:19 The essential facts that you need to know is that when it comes to a relationship a lot of people have I think the term is parisocial type of relationship with these artists to the point where now Kylie Ooch is being with Don Tolliver, Callie Uch's fans are going to scour the internet to find any and every reason Don Tolliver should or should not be with Callie Uchus.
Starting point is 00:08:41 That's just how it works, right? So if you didn't know, to give him more of a clarification, their relationship is on the serious side, right? As they have welcomed their first son, the first child, which is a boy, in March 2024. So with that being said, now, Calliuchess, you know, post-partum, is that the right? I don't know, post-having a child, right? She is now putting out an album. And Don Tolliver basically carried the load last year with Hardstone Psycho, not to say that
Starting point is 00:09:18 Callowice is being carried by Don Tolliver, any stretch of the imagination. Honestly, she's probably like the alpha side of the relationship, if you look at the music side of things. But just talking about how, you know, she was having a baby, right? And Don Tolliver, you know, on the music side was, you know, doing this thing with Hardstone Cycle. And now Callie Uches is back to put her album out after having a child, you know, post-given birth. And her fifth studio album, sincerely, is now set to be released March 9th, 2025. And I think it would be a phenomenal comeback for Callie Uch's. Now, of course, now we're going to get into her single that she has for the album titled Sunshine, Sunshine,
Starting point is 00:09:55 and rain.
