Starting point is 00:00:03 Now, of course, I believe this is the first time I've ever covered this particular artist as Kane Rodriguez has an album out currently titled La Petuta. I think that's how you say. I'm not even trying to be funny. I think that's how you pronounce it. So that being said, this album came out. Of course, today. Oh, no, it came out actually April 24th, 2025. 13 tracks length, 37 minutes.
Starting point is 00:00:33 When it comes to the features, you have features such as Julio LV, official Lalex, 425, and of course, Chino Fly. So when it comes to this particular artist, the main thing I want to focus on is just how in the world do you put out an album and then captivate the masses to a certain point where not only are people listening to the album because of its choritos and trap and hip hop influence, which I'm a huge fan of. I mean, talk about being able to draw and reblende in a very effective manner. But the main thing I wanted to talk about is just how do these Latin musicians implement hip hop so efficiently into their music? Because the main thing for me is like listening for Sonic, because if I can't tell what the language is, right? If I can't tell what you're saying, basically the song structure and sonically is it pleasing for me. That's the only thing I look for. And then after the fact, if I like it enough, I'll look up the lyrics.
Starting point is 00:01:31 So once I found out it was more youthful type of take on on the hip hop and Coritos blend because of course when it comes to the younger generation really gravitating towards Kane Rodriguez as far as on TikTok as far as on Spotify. And the main reason for the segment is because of his track. Sevovieron Locos. So is say volvieron Locos making sure I pronounce. that right you know what i mean so that track is the 48th most popular track in mexico currently and then when it comes to this particular artist you really have to make sure you understand how difficult it is to cross basically to blend genres and cross over doing that because of course we see as shabuzzi is probably the most successful example i could use at blending two different genres as far as country
Starting point is 00:02:28 in hip-hop. But as far as Carridos and blending that with trap elements and hip-hop, it seems as, it seems like Kane Rodriguez and of course Victor Medieval, who I've covered in the past on my podcast, they basically do a very fantastic job at coming across, coming across as they authentically enjoy both genres. And they dive deep into both genres to bring out the best size of both, which is very, very hard to do, especially when you look at the fact that album was produced or was distributed under Warner Music Mexico essay that CV so with that being said you already know that a certain label is behind you even though it may not be technically it's Warner right and I always talk about having a major label who
Starting point is 00:03:17 is specializing on crossing over overseas artists because R IAA you need a certain amount of US streams to even be certified so with that being said it's a very interesting game that you're already placed in you might as well set yourself up for the for the best signing up to a major label that has a Mexico division to help you get no help you get exposure as far as worldwide right so that's the main thing i wanted to get into um wanted to definitely talk about how he's doing phenomenal with his track sell a se voviera locoes and when you think about that track coming out in 2024 and it's 2025 and it's still the 48th most played track in the world as far as on Mexico or not still but it rose up to 48th most played track in Mexico just showcase the longevity
Starting point is 00:04:08 and how Kane Rodriguez if he keeps the authentic nature of his blending of traditional choritos and trap and hip hop he's definitely having a promising future as far as his future releases but definitely make sure to go check out his latest album Lab Batuta hopefully I think I'm saying it right that's out now on all DSPs and just came out recently as far as April 24th, 2025. And it's 13 tracks in total and 37 minutes in length. So with that being said, click my link here in my bio. Let me know on one of my social media is. What do you think about Kane Rodriguez and his latest album, La Batuta?
Starting point is 00:04:43 And at the end of the day, have you heard Sevolverian? Sayvovaryon Locos? And do you think he's one of the hottest rising? Latin artist who's blending trap in hip-hop.
