It is now time to talk about the latest fashion trends in the industry because it's been a constant debate of whether you should wear socks with or without sandals. And Kanye West has officially ended the debate because as you see right now, socks with sandals still looks as atrocious as it sounds. So with that being said, let's get to the real reason we're covering Kanye West today because Kanye, I don't know if y'all have realized, has not dropped music in 2023. It's been a whole year since this man dropped music. And by a whole year, I mean a whole year. The last time he was even on a body of work that can be considered music is when he was a feature on Cardi B's hot expeditive. I would say the other word, but this is a PG podcast.

But all I'm going to say is the way that they titled that track is exactly how it sounded. Really underwhelming and probably one of the more surprising flops I've ever seen in the music industry. Cardi B, Kanye West, and Little Dirk at the time seemed like a match made in heaven because you have Kanye West on production, Cardi B rapping from her side of Dom. dominating the women's space, Little Dirk rapping from his side of dominating the I Kill People space. And coming together for a track like this, you would think would impact the charts would be more impactful on the charts. But sadly it wasn't and it was definitely a flop. But it's okay because now we're back again with apparently new music from Kanye West and James Blake.

I don't know why a lot of people like to leave James Blake off of some of this cover. because if y'all have listened to across the spider verse soundtrack he did his thing i think it was called hummingbird if i'm not mistaken that was one of the standouts off of that yeah hummingbird with uh metro booming and james blake and a lot of people when they bring up the soundtrack they don't like to talk about hummingbird as being one of the standout tracks off of the album or soundtrack but that's besides the point so kanya was back again previewing new music in london and he samples quote unquote the song always but as you see right here from the horse's mouth james blake tweeted doesn't sample always it's new so safe to say that they have new music coming

even though coney west is notorious for working on a plethora of songs and not releasing any of them uh shout out to don to too so during the event of course just to reiterate Kanye played a snippet of the song from his iPhone with James Blake's vocals featured. And obviously, fans thought it was a sample from first glance. James Blake came out to clarify himself that it's a completely new creation. And it was a celebrity party with a lot of the fashion icons popping up from the likes of Bella Hadid to Erica Badu, to Naomi Campbell, Yays I say Yays X

Arena Cheyke I don't even know you say that Kanye also made headlines for wearing the flip-flops which I just show him right here that's why I started out with it because who in the world told Kanye was that this was a good idea but that's besides the point let's get back to the music for what we all know him for so despite the criticism of the flip-flops

Kanye of course shared the photo on his Instagram with a caption indicating that he was not bothered by all the critiques of him wearing socks with sandals. So fast forwarding, James Blake also confirmed that he produced three of the tracks. Because right here, if you're looking on my analytic dreams video podcast on Spotify for the video version,

he tweeted right here saying that he also produced it because first he said it doesn't sample, then he said he also produced it. And then there was another tweet talking about how there's three tracks between the two. So yeah, okay, so James Blake confirmed that he produced all three teasers songs shared by Kanye during the after party. And then there's no clear release schedule, of course, because it's Kanye West. But they previously intended to work together back in 2016.

So for all of y'all wondering, where did this James Blake and Kanye West connection come from? Well, it was all the way back in 2016, but even going even further back in memory down memory lane. Kanye West once said that James Blake was, quote, his favorite artist in 2013. Now, I need y'all to look up the music that was coming down in 2013, and for Kanye West to say that James Blake was his favorite artist is beyond hilarious. So despite that, Kanye West has shown praises to James Blake. James Blake is also very fond of Kanye West as he also tweeted out. I don't think I have it on here, but he did tweet out in the past, or not in the past, after this tweet, basically saying it was his birthday that Kanye shared the snippet so that all presents is not needed

because I guess this is more of a present in itself. Obviously, he's being a little tongue-in-cheek, but he's basically highlighting the, the fact that he admires Kanye West and for it to be his birthday and Kanye West to share James Blake's snippets. It's a very nice thing to do. Let's just put it like that. So despite Kanye West not sticking to any type of release date that he announces, we can assume that this track always from Kanye West and James Blake at some point will be released. Now when, of course, we have no idea. Like I said, he has not released music this entire year and people wonder why hip hop is getting

dominated on the charts. Now obviously we have Drake who can try to impact the charts with his for all the dogs. And it, it's coming together to be one of the worst rollouts for a Drake album of all time if it's not already. So with that being said, hip hop has just had a rough year in 2023. I think to stand out for hip hop in general, I'm predicting it would be Doja Cat, obviously going off of facts we already have. It's been Travis Scott Gunna, and that's it. So at the end of day, hip hop has been getting dominated on the charts, but let's see if we can bounce back in 2023. And I'm sure that if Kanye releases this,

track with James Blake that it will undoubtedly impact the charts because Kanye West is a one-of-one once-in-a-lifetime type musician. So anyways, click my link to your bio.
