Starting point is 00:00:03 Now, of course, when it comes to feed, we've covered him a lot of times on a podcast, but when it comes to Capo, this is the first time coverage of this particular artist. So they give you the background for the newcomers. Just know that Capo is a Colombian singer, songwriter, blending Afro beat, dance hall, and regga tone. So that being said, the reason why we're getting into him today, pause. You guys. See, that's the problem. The reason why we're talking about Capo today is simply because of his album being out, on DSPs and as far as the title just know I'm not butchering it intentionally I'm
Starting point is 00:00:39 trying my best and with that being said the album title is porcci Alguyen nos es scutja now I think I messed up the Alguyen part but as far as everything else I think I you know I think I got it pretty on the nose almost but anyways Capo if you type KAPO it would pop up on whatever DSP you use but his album is out entirely and more more specifically i did want to get into him with feed having one of the more um playlisted tracks off of this album which tells me capo putting out this album under sony music entertainment they basically said that hey we have one of the biggest line musicians in the world on your album this is definitely going to be our track that we're going to put on a bunch of playlists uh and we're going to
Starting point is 00:01:29 playlist this track put a lot of marketing dollars behind it and guess what there's a whole whole music video for this track already so as far as the album i mean there was 15 tracks to choose from right this is this entire body of work is 43 minutes and of course the track that they went with is the one with feed on it as far as x t so with feed you know i've already talked about him a bunch of times going all the way back to august 4th of 2023 when i covered his track benti con amigo so when it comes to feed when it comes to capo just know the latin field is field up pun intended with a lot of people who are infected their masses at a rapid pace and it's simply because i'm not going to say simply because that kind of takes away credit from the actual artist but like i
Starting point is 00:02:14 keep saying if you're not putting your album or if you're not putting clips up on tic promoting your music you just do not want to be taken seriously as a musician as when it comes to feed when it comes to capo this specific track x t is going viral immediately on t which is helping it out as far as the engaging streams on other dsps such as the spotify apple music amazon things of that nature so when it comes to strong user generated content support some would say tic tic tic tic is the most important and the most influence for newer artists because that organically blows up your music even more, which is why TikTok to this day is probably one of the greatest tools musicians have as far as promoting your music. If you really cultivate it the right way, you can end up having a major, well, not a major label.
Starting point is 00:03:09 You could end up having an indie label type of boost to your music simply through strategic marketing strategies through TikTok as a rising musician. So anyways, when it comes to XT, it's definitely the standout that Sony and Capo, of course, agreed to playlist a lot as far as this album being out. But do know with this entire album out, he does have other artists on this album like Mike Tires. Towers. Did I say Tires went to Ford? Mike Towers. And then he has Yandel on his album. I don't know how six.
Starting point is 00:03:44 Now I feel about that, but, you know, that's a whole other discussion. um rales b he has manuel terrizo he has uh ryan castro lyon phia so those are all the features are off of his album essentially speaking it is a lengthy album pause you guys but at the end of the day it's 15 tracks 43 minutes so i think it's a great listen especially if you want to dive into one of the more breakout artists in the latin community because when it comes to somebody not only making regga tone but but i think it's a great listen especially if you want to dive into one of the more breakout artists in the latin community because because when it comes to somebody not only making reggae tone but also making club type anthems and rhythms appealing to a lot of the latin afrobee and global pop pop markets it's almost like capo understands who he's marketing towards and throughout this entire album i think he has tracks specifically for each one of those sectors as far as the afrobe's centric type of fan as far as the latin centric type of fan as far as a global pop mark as far as a pop centric type of fan i think he uh intentionally put certain tracks on his album to have that cross-genre innovator tag to make him worldwide.
Starting point is 00:04:54 And we're going to see if it works. Because, of course, being under Sony is no slouch as Sony is one of the biggest labels in the world, as they currently have 15% of the entire music market share. Now, granted, UMG has 60%, Warner has 17%, Sony has 15%, but then the others, which is smaller labels and independents, they have 8%. So still being under Sony. setting you up for success. So with that being said, click my link to your in my bio.
Starting point is 00:05:19 Let me know one of my social media is, what do you think about Capo's latest album? And at the end of the day, what do you think about his track with feed titled XT?
