Now, for all my Carol G fans, y'all are probably wondering, why is this track titled S-91?
Imagine listening to the song over and over again and then forgetting what this song was actually called,
just to remember that it's S-91.
Like, it may not seem as much of a big deal.
When other tracks are out here titled, like, music, or baby, or,
Love yourself. Like it's easier to learn phrases than it is to learn abbreviations.
And the reason I know this is an abbreviation, because this is a reference,
S-91 is basically Carol G's birth date, which is September 1st, 1991.
And see, just like G.I. Joe, knowing is half the battle. Now, I'm sorry, my fault. Y'all can throw y'all
tomatoes. But anyways, we're getting into Carol G and her new single titled,
s 91 which you know was accompanied you know I like to focus on music right because that's the best thing to do with artists but to inform y'all and to keep it strictly factual you know what I'm saying I have to let y'all know that there is a music video attached to this single that came out as soon as the single came out so I had to talk about the music video being out and all I got to say is with the music video being out
I feel like it adds another element that you otherwise would not be able to enjoy if it was only an audio format.
Of course, you know, we only talk about the artistry side of musicians, right?
All jokes aside, this track is pretty solid.
I added it to my playlist, which is not like no plug or anything, but it's just one of those where I genuinely enjoyed the track.
I didn't think it was nothing like mind-blowing.
I didn't think it was like below average or just average.
I thought it was above average.
I think it was a great track to put out as a single.
I think Carol G is a very talented artist in her own right.
And the music video kind of just shows that she can actually dance
along with the music that she's given out.
So I believe that, well, okay, so the music video was direct about Pedro Artola,
which was produced by We Own the City.
And Carol G also announced the Manana Ceri Bonito Pichata season.
It's coming soon.
Now, whatever that means, I have no idea, but the more you know, I guess.
And a week ago, she hinted that she was going to come with a new project when she posted a photo from a line,
and she referred to a line from Psalms 91, basically saying,
a thousand may fall at your side 10,000 at your right hand, but it will not come near you.
Now, out of context, I have no idea what that means, but in context, I would definitely say I enjoy seeing artists use biblical references, like no matter what God or religion you believe in.
I do like to see those type of marketing tactics implemented compared to what we've been getting from some of the more prominent artists.
like Uzi or Sam Smith, what there's just a lot of just blatant devil worshiping going on.
Like, I prefer this type of marketing strategy compared to what they be doing.
So I really enjoyed seeing Carol G. hint at a new project by using this type of tactic.
And I do believe that with this single coming out, that her album will come out soon.
Because even when the single came out, it seems like it was really special to her as the title is the abbreviation of a birthday, a birthday.
And she recorded on TikTok a video of her mother reacting to the production.
And she basically said herself, quote, this video is special for many reasons.
And then she went on to say, there's no more beautiful feeling for me than knowing that my family is proud of me and that my music can cause them reactions like that.
My mom took us to school and taught us to pray Psalm 91 after leaving home every day.
day in the morning because she said they were sacred, sacred words of protection. And three,
I am grateful to God and to life for giving me a family that supports me that has believed
in me from the very beginning. And that is still with me today. Celebrating together so many
beautiful things that's happened to us. Now, isn't that just heartwarming to, to, to hear?
Like, isn't that one of those things where, you know,
are artists out in the world who's very successful on the billboard charts that don't have to
resort to blasphemy type tactics just to get their marketing across so clap it up for caro g man she's
out here really showcasing what is what is like to be a true musician with like certain moral
high grounds that doesn't let her stoop to some of the publicity stunts
That involves a lot of that other stuff that a little Uzi and Sam Smith was doing.
You know, no discredit to them, but also I kind of am discrediting them at the same time because of Carol G can put up these type of numbers with the type of marketing tactics that she uses, then why can't they also?
