Starting point is 00:00:03 Now, of course, when it comes to Carol G in our coverage of this specific artist in the past, of course, I've covered Carol G a plethora of times to the point where my first time covering her was all the way back in January, 22 of 2023, when she made this track with Avi on the drums titled Carol or Cairo, however you pronounce it. Now, as far as this album title, let's just say, it's doing phenomenal on the charts as it's currently the fifth most play album in the world as far as Tropie on. Coquetta, hopefully I'm pronouncing that right. And then there's three tracks currently that's in the top 100 as far as Latina forever. That's the 66 most played track in the world, been on the charts for about three weeks. Then you have Papapacito.
Starting point is 00:00:50 That's the 74th most played track that just entered into the charts. And then you have Verano Rosa, which is the 97th most, the 96 most played track in the world. And of course, when it comes to the Latina forever, I believe I covered that because, of course, when it came to Carol G, I covered that. And then I also covered Milagros because I think there was a whole documentary made for Carol G. I don't know if it was this. Okay, so yeah, it was, she had a number one Netflix documentary that basically talked about how Carol G redefined the global land. the global landscape for Latin music, especially for women and Latin music. So that was definitely a highlight of the podcast.
Starting point is 00:01:41 A lot of people enjoyed that coverage. I definitely wanted to double back and just because I did not know that she was coming back with a whole album. Because of course, when you're talking about the overall Netflix documentary that is titled Manana Fui Bonito, I think I said that right. But that's on Netflix. If you just go to Netflix and type in Carol Dree, it should pop up. But when it comes to her overall dominance in the Latin field, you come to realize that she's really, I'm not going to say the niki menage of Latin because of course she's her own artist, but it just kind of puts in perspective for hip hop connoisseurs how crazy Carol G's run has been as far as her running and being a pioneer for women, Latin musicians in the music industry.
Starting point is 00:02:24 So when it comes to her latest release, I did not expect this at all, especially covering her past, her previous music, because when it comes to her latest release, because when it comes to her latest release, I did not expect this at all, especially covering her past her previous music, because when it. comes to her latest album that came out in 2023 title meyana sarah bonita which the documentary is based off of but that album came out august 11th uh 2023 and um actually there's two versions so that one came out at that time there's an earlier one that came out february 23 uh 24th 2023 so i don't know what the difference is between the two uh the the latest one just says butchata season so whatever that means but um well that being said you may think the only thing i want to get into it's just overall Carol G just being a dominant force in the Latin community and of course when it comes to her being a pioneer she showed that once more as she had the biggest
Starting point is 00:03:12 streaming week of 2025 for a Latin album by women so once again she's showcasing how impactful her mat her music is to the masses but not only the masses how empowering it is for other women who look like her and want to maybe emulate or replicate their type of success in the future now they know it's an actual possibility because the men of course are running rampant in the latin community i mean i've talked about bad bunny natan vaga uh paco paco pluma a lot of just characters in latin musician that's on the charts overall are majority of the times male like nine times out of 10 so for caro g to come out and put up these um very respectable numbers as when it comes to her album nobody's going to say oh it's a fly because it didn't go number one i mean bison boone just put out
Starting point is 00:04:01 an album and he didn't go number one i mean morgan wallen is going to completely keep putting he's going to keep putting bta on the music industry for the foreseeable future with an album that came out almost a month ago or maybe it is a month at this point let me see morgan wallace has been running the charts kind of like taylor swift was last year but as far as uh yeah the 16th of may may june july so yeah basically we're going on um it's May June July so and what like 15 for and like 12 days we'll be going on three months so with that being said um that run is insane that Morgan Wallen is on right now with his album so if you don't have the number one of course it's it's respectable at this point in time because when you look at the numbers it's kind of hard to get a number one when Morgan Wallen
Starting point is 00:04:48 is putting up at least 100,000 every single week at least at the very minimum I mean literally this week uh this past week he put up 171,000 album units which is insanity to be uh two plus months in so anyways with Carol G she came in at number five but it's still a huge accomplishment as the group above her to me personally I've already covered him and I'm not going to lie this coverage of this particular artist is getting me in some hot water but you know that's we signed up for right uh the cat side group they put out an album title beautiful chaos which if you want to hear my coverage of that just type in cat's eye analytic dreams with a z and it should pop up but in general i think they are an industry plant i usually don't put that label on a lot of artists because it's basically
Starting point is 00:05:38 kind of being ignorant to the rise to fame but if you look at a discography they started last year and last year they were signed to a major label where does that happen at and there was a whole conglomerate of people to put these uh to put this group together i got into the whole backstory so you have go to that specifically to hear my coverage of that but when it comes to caro g uh cat size above her uh k-pop demon hunters i've covered that as well lord i've covered that of course and then morgan wallin i've definitely covered him so i've covered all the people above carol g when it comes to uh if you want to dive into those specific albums or artists specifically but carol g i will keep putting a misrespect on her name because like i said she's the only one to have this type of impact as a latin musician being a
Starting point is 00:06:23 well being a woman latin musician right and in general she's still putting up numbers competing with all the musicians it's not like she's just putting up numbers that's like suitable for a certain group she's putting up global numbers she's putting up top five album numbers which is why it came in at number five as far as the most listened to project in the world but with that being said click my link to my bio let me know one of my social media is what do you think about carol g and her latest album title Tropico Quetta and what is your favorite track if you've listened to the album
