We are here to talk about a very serious situation as far as a billion dollar corporation seemingly having such a rigorous training schedule to the point where the members are leaving one by one. You guys.

See, that's the problem. As if you don't know the reason for why I just played that Jimmy Fallon clip, is the reason why I played that is because Sophia. which is one of the members of Katzai, just announced August 7th that she is leaving the group. And of course, with Sylvia announcing her hiatus from the group, this is what she had to say. She said, icons, it truly breaks my heart to have to miss out on a lot. Oh, no. You guys. Oh, bitch. All right, before all we get together. Making this decision wasn't easy, but I'm learning that health has to come first. I'm realizing that if I take care of my mind and body now, I won't be able to keep doing what I loved most for so long.

Now, of course, even though I had a very dramatic reading, of Sofia's announcement as far as her taking a temporary hiatus. It's very interesting the amount of coverage when it comes to K-pop billion-dollar labels and the rigorous training that the artists have to go through.

As far as the spotlight being showcased on artists making millions of dollars and people not caring about the training regiments behind, the makings of millions of dollars, I think they should really compare this to an athletic sport. Because if, let's take LeBron, for example, if LeBron had a rigorous training schedule, like Hybe has Katzai under, I think his fans were riot.

And that is the type of perception you need to have when you look at why Katzai fans are, so supportive of the members, but not specifically the major label. Because going back to my LeBron example, it's like in Philadelphia scheduled, mandatory workouts. Not, oh, LeBron, you work out on your own because we already know you're great. No, we're scheduling two to three workouts a day. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, a day.

And you're probably thinking, where are you getting your sources from as far as as his rigorous training schedule? Well, I made it up. Shepard. All right, muffled. I didn't make it up. But specifically, throughout my research, I found the particular show. Of course, this is where my industry plant rhetoric came from.

But originally, if you don't know, Katzai was an entire show where hundreds of thousands of volunteers was trying to make a six-member group. 120,000 applicants worldwide. And six members was chosen from that mammoth of a pool, right? once again going back into my industry rhetoric but i'm not going to expound on that right now so anyways when it comes to that specific Netflix show they literally had subsequent interviews describing the extreme training hours the vocal slash dance pressure and of course the cultural adjustment for an international lineup because as far as the psychological toll of the constant evaluation you come to realize that hype is a billion dollar corporation now i don't know if y'all been paying attention but nine

times out of ten if it's a billion dollar corporation and they're having this type of rigorous training routine when 120 000 applicants was available safe to say there's certain requirements to make the group now what are those requirements i think we're finding out that is very and may be unfair to the members of Katzai. So when it comes to this particular segment, this is the first time that y'all probably heard somebody actively call out a K-pop label for putting their artists under too much stress.

Now, I know they're making millions of dollars, but once again, going back into my LeBron point, if the, if the, if the 76ers, If the Philadelphia 76ers told LeBron that he has to work out three to four to five times a day, right? Y'all will say that's too much. Now, of course, one to two times. I mean, that makes sense, right? Three to four, okay, maybe in the offseason.

You know, two of days is an actual thing. As a former college athlete, as far as two a days, I mean, that's a thing. Maybe you get your own personal workout in, so maybe a max three workouts. If you knew that the Philadelphia 76ers was scheduling four to five workouts a day, for lebron you would riot in the same way that cat's-side fans are rioting for them when it comes to the corporation the billion dollar corporation hybe putting them such a string uh putting them through such a strenuous routine and of course will they come out and speak about hype in this type of manner of course not once again the netflix show had 120 000 applicants

only six made it i believe those six members was dedicated to the point where if they were put through this type of strenuous routine unfair training regiments I don't know if they would speak out on Hyde versus some of the other applicants that maybe didn't make the group now with that being said getting back into Sophia's hiatus because of course when it comes to Sophia the leader of Katzai she's prioritizing her mental health and overall well-being but then you come to realize Katzai formed just three years ago Going back into my industry plant point, they already have multiple Grammy nominations. They literally have a track on the charts right now as we speak that was written by Ed Shearn.

I know that ain't who I think it is. And before you ask about my sources, because once again, my sources is I made it up. You know what I'm saying? My fault. Actually, you can go to the credits of Animal and they will say it was written by Ed Shearant. If you don't know, when it came out, it debuted number 24 on Hot on Billboard Hot 100. Now, of course, as of right now, when you look at CatSide specifically, Animal is sliding a little bit as the 35th most play track in the world. But that's still a phenomenal accomplishment because, of course, okay, I was trying to see if they had an album on a chart.

But when you look at the music video specifically, which is where the rigorous training schedules come from as far as them getting the dance routines down for this specific song, that music video for Animal is currently doing phenomenal right now. as far as it being the 12th most watcher video on YouTube. And of course, when you look at the video specifically, it has 1.3 million views in one day. This is the video right here, ladies and gentlemen. and what's going on about this situation, the reason why I'm so peculiar about and interested in this situation, because another artist, Chey Young, I believe I'm saying her name right, left Y-YP, which we're going to get into shortly. When you look at that specifically, a lot of different K-pop artists have immaculate choreography. Now I'm starting to look at why is it? Is it unfair training regimens or is it fairly putting them through the proper training to put out such an immaculate choreography? One of the many examples that I give as far as K-pop having immaculate choreography is Jenny from Blackpink. I talk about Jenny from Blackpink being on The Weekend show, the artist The Weekend show, The Idol.

Was it called the Idol? I think it was on HBO. And basically they won an Emmy, I believe, for Best Chorography. And I believe it was a big part of that was because of Jenny's scenes as far as her doing the choreography and some of the scenes for that TV show. Now, going back into my overall K-pop point, when you look at these art, artists and the way that they are treated behind the scenes because we'll never see it in 4k. You know, it's not like we see, oh, Hive is prioritizing them to work out four times, four to five times a day.

Well, I don't think we ever see that type of schedule be leaked to the public. But if it did, I want to be mad at it. So getting back into what is the meaning of this segment? Looking at the billion dollar corporation and looking at the, way that the schedule is shaping up to be because they do have one of the biggest tracks in the world right now as far as animal if you don't know their lineup is stack i mean they have a lot of stuff coming up when you look at them uh this particular year they have a lot of things coming up multiple marketing appearances and of course when it comes to their members leaving one by one

they had six total members and now they only have four and it's very very general as far as why Sophia's leaving as far as why Minyan, that's how you say it, as far as why she left, and both of them are on temporary leave. All the reports are saying Minion is like permanently left. I mean, that's false.

I looked it up. I looked into it. There was no official report of her leaving like permanently. Right now it's just temporary. So getting back into the marketing rollout. So now you're looking at them going on a whole marketing campaign without two of their six

members, right? So I think I think it was like 33% of the group or whatever. You know, I'm no mathematician, but I did look it up. So when you look at August 8th, which is in the past, so as I mean recording this is August 13th, 2026. August, so tomorrow, Wild EP will be released and promotional cycle will begin without Sophia. In September, Sophia is scheduled for reassessment. and then September 1st, Wild War Tour, a Wild World Tour is scheduled to begin in Dublin. Am I tripping? Okay, this, hold up.

You know, you know, 26 going to 80. Let me make that bigger right quick. I think that did say Dublin. I just want to make sure, so I don't get, you know, my pronunciations. You know what I'm saying? It's not to. So, let me see. All right, so, yeah, it is Dublin.

Okay, cool. And then Sophia's participation has not been confirmed. And then when you continue the marketing strategies, they have two scheduled nights at Crypto Arena in Los Angeles, November 21st through the 22nd. And Sophia's status, of course, is still unconfirmed. And then we look at the group, they are scheduled for a Daisy Chainfields, which is Olivia Rodriguez, all-woman festival. Man, I may have to go to that, you know what I'm saying? My fault, they ain't going to let me in.

But anyways, so when you look at Ket's eye, as far as... the seriousness of this situation. I think this is more of a K-pop scenario, a K-pop issue, than a music industry issue. Because, of course, we've already seen that a lot of artists get on stage and they be walking around doing glorified karaoke. The main thing when it comes to K-pop artists is their choreography is always on point.

I would liken them to another topic when they get into as far as BTS and Chris Brown. Both of those artists specifically are fantastic. one of one of one no comparison when it comes to the choreography live on stage right so now when you see that a specific genre has leaps and bounds better consistency across the board as far as the artists the plethora of artists and when it comes to the high quality choreography but then you come to realize that the behind-the-scenes tactics to obtain that may be unethical then you start to realize is it worth it? And I think that's the main thing I wanted to get across in this segment.

Is it worth the rigorous training schedule that Katzai is going through as far as a billion dollar corporation doing it because they can? Once again, the only reason this group exists is because they had 120,000 applicants and they chose six out of those 120,000 applicants. I wonder what made them fit the requirements. It's almost as if there's certain things that they had to be okay with and not speak out on to make the group. So anyways, something else I was wanting to talk about

as far as the cat's-side situation is that, of course, Hibb being under, I don't know, BTS being under Hive, but if you don't know, BTS just had the biggest album in the year of 2026 as far as RIV rang, having the first week sales of like $630,000, the biggest first week sales by far i think the second best is uh

olivia i believe olivia rodrigo i have to pull it up but uh actually let me see right now i look this up all the time all right so after doing a little micky research after doing a little micky research bt s rangerang is number one by far and then of course i believe you have um yeah olivia rodrigo see i'll be knowing my stuff you know i'm saying that's a crazy you know what I mean? Oh, come on, Druskey. Come on, Drusky. They ain't got to do all that. Definitely make sure to rate this five stars. But yeah, so, BTS already rang is $6,000. The biggest by far in the year of 2026 as far as first week sales. And then you have Olivia Rodrigo, where you seem pretty sad for a girl still in love, 485,000 first week sales. Drake

Iceman with $463,000 first week. And so making it the third biggest first week sales of 2026. and you have Harry Styles kiss me all the time, disco occasionally at number four with $430,000 and you have Noah Khan with the Great Divide with $389,000, which is a, yeah, slips me at number five. The main thing I was going to get at with that is high being a billion billion dollar corporation with them having BTS under the belt and with Katzai obviously being pushed in the industry. I think if the K, if the Katzai fans, which they're called the icons, If they come together and have group economics and say, hey, you already have BTS, which is like the biggest album in the world, can you please prioritize the mental health of the members and maybe tone back the stringuous, the rigorous training schedule so that these artists can have a life outside of musical creation.

I think the icons can make that happen. And that's the last thing I want to talk about because, you know, I didn't want to give a problem out of solution. and this is becoming a bigger and bigger problem in the K-pop industry.
