Starting point is 00:00:03 Now it's time to get into my favorite batch of hip hop artists, and that is Ken Carson, Playboy Cardi, and of course, Destroy Lonely. But then, you know what I'm saying? I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop. Like, what's going on? Now, all jokes aside, I do not listen to this type of music on a everyday basis, but I will tell you, when it comes to Playboy Cardi's album, which we're going to get into Ken Carson the second, because he just dropped this album, more chaos is out now on all DSPs. but essentially I wanted to let you know that when it comes to Playboy Cardi, I did do the service of covering the music industry by listening to this man's album. And I did like some tracks off of this.
Starting point is 00:00:48 I wanted to let you know the tracks I liked off the album because, you know, essentially it was a good amount. I liked Philly with Travis Scott. I like the track Radar. That's probably my... Actually, it's not my favorite. I like Radar. It's one of my favorites.
Starting point is 00:00:59 I like Rather Lye. That's definitely one of the standouts for me from the album. I like Toxic. with Skepta, that's probably my favorite track off of the album, essentially because I feel like that's what he was trying to encapsivate as far as it being commercialized and him having a UK artist on his track, but it also being a cohesive track and it being phenomenal as far as the vibe that he was going for. I think toxic embodies would play with Ricardius, and I think it was just one of the greater tracks off the album. Good credit, good credit featuring Side 7,
Starting point is 00:01:33 I mean, Kendrick Lamar. I thought that was solid. Trim, feature and Future. I like the way Future was rapping seeming like he was trying to get rap verse of the year on that track. We need all the vibes with Playboy Cardi, Young Thug. I like Young Thugs, verse, and things like that. So those are my favorite tracks off his album.
Starting point is 00:01:50 But anyways, getting back into Ken Carson. So the reason why I gave you the review of Playboy Cardi's music album before I talked about Ken Carson is because of the influence that Ken Carson Destroy Lonely Has on Playboy Carty. which he said multiple times himself right when it comes to a great chaos right can karsen previously make sure you know can't spread fake news out here i'm trying to figure out okay so when it comes to kink carson's last album in 2023 a great chaos is sold 49 000 first week
Starting point is 00:02:28 now i do believe when you drop an album and you sell over 20,000 first week. That's a ginormous accomplishment. The main reason why we look at certain sales the way we do is because these artists are attached to major conglomerates as far as major machines pushing their music, which is why we look at these sales the way we do. This album being under opium slash anoscope is very interesting because it's One hour and one minute of Ken Carson himself with the only feature that I see listed on the album being Playboy Cardi and Destroy Lonely.
Starting point is 00:03:20 Anyways, getting back into my main point, when you're under Endoscope Records, I believe is under Universal Music Group. I think Endoscope is the subsidiary to Universal Music Group. With that being out the way, Playboy Cardi is also under UMG and he has the second most popular. album in the world. So having an artist like Playbreak Cardi on your album is no easy feat, especially with the hot streak that he's on right now. Sometimes artists get on a hot street, right? And then they say no more features until my album cools off because now the last impression my fans have of me is this body of work that everybody has came out to say that is phenomenal, right? Even myself. I do like the, I do like certain tracks off of the album.
Starting point is 00:04:07 and I'm willing to say that it's not a bad album and I just you know at the beginning of the segment I just told you I don't really listen to this type of music and I was vibing with certain tracks off of the album so playbricardy seemingly delivered and even though Ken Carson the short lonely is a huge inspiration for blade Ricardy which you know he said himself multiple times you still doesn't mean that you're going to give him a feature when it comes time for him to put out his album as we've seen when DJ Mustard gave the beat for Not Like Us for Kendrick Lamar Kendrick Lamar couldn't have been bothered to post this man's album after the fact
Starting point is 00:04:44 and not even post it, not even give him a feature. I mean, I wouldn't have been surprised if he couldn't have used Not Like Us on this album because it was nowhere to be seen, right? I wouldn't have been surprised if DJ Muster was like, hey man, if you're not going to promote my album, if you're not going to give me a feature, at least let me put the track that we have together on the album.
Starting point is 00:05:01 I wouldn't have been surprised if he, if side seven said no to that right so with that being said big ups to play bricardy who currently has the second most popular album in the world but still took the time out to be on his one of his inspirations as far as in the music industry ken carson's album after the fact which i know a lot of artists wouldn't do but anyways the main reason why i wanted to say that is because we're to let you know that more chaos by ken carson is out currently and when it comes to the album click my link to share in my bio and let me know one of my social media is what do you think that this album is going to sell first week and do you think it's going to do below or above
Starting point is 00:05:40 49 000 like he did with his last album uh great chaos
