Starting point is 00:00:00 I really respect that Kendrick Lamar takes the Jay-Z approach whenever these type of issues come up. Because Jay-Z used to notoriously act like he was disconnected to what was going on in society. So he would not have to respond to certain rumors, right? Because if you're not on the internet, there's nobody to be in your comment section of your latest post being like, oh, answer this, answer this. And you probably have that reaction to answer it. Right. So Kenyon Glamar, I know he's on some type of burner on some Kevin Durant type beat, but I do appreciate how he puts all his responses into the music instead of addressing them online. With that being said, this is just egregious.
Starting point is 00:00:46 Like the amount of shots he was sending way back in 2017 and for it to come out today and for him not to speak on it, I don't know if my perspective, you know, like the great Jay-Z said, if you can't respect my perspective, your whole perspective is whack or something like that. I don't know, he said something like that. Anyways, Kenji Glamar is getting played by TDE. I believe that the album, Damn, was a consequence for him leaving TDE to TDE the way he did. and that's why this demo version of element leaked because I cannot see in my right mind why would Kendrick or anybody on his team
Starting point is 00:01:38 want to leak this because what does it do for his career? Right. It just pinpoints how we all knew he was beefing with so-and-so but he never said it and now we hear it and he still doesn't talk about it. So it's very frustrating to say the least as one of the greatest rappers ever to go and go
Starting point is 00:01:59 at somebody and to take away a potential battle between another prominent rapper around that time, right? Because he was going at Big Sean. He went at basically went at Meek Mill, went at French Montana. It was really directed, in my opinion, at J. Electronica, because you already know he don't want no smoke with Drake. I think at this point, Kendrick Lamar is one of those type of people who is business savvy enough to know that beefing with Drake not to get on my Kanye tip but Drake is
Starting point is 00:02:32 very connected is that the better word very connected in society so beefing with Drake as we've seen is a very very big no-no so I mean I think McNeil to this day is still trying to resurrect his career
Starting point is 00:02:48 so with that being said not really too much you get into the reason why I say TDE, which is Top Dog Entertainment, which is owned by a punch, I believe. Punch from TDE, I believe is the owner or the head person of TDE, which Kendrick used to be on, but he's currently off of TDE now because his last album, Mr. Morrell, and the Big Steppers,
Starting point is 00:03:15 fulfilled his contractual obligation. So at this point, I think because of that, this demo version of element leak i think td e looked at it it's probably like upset that kensi glomar left the way he did because if you don't know which a lot of people probably do know because kensik's still that dude but he took a little break right and everybody noticed it everybody was like why is kensi klamar taking a break allegedly reportedly he was trying to get off tde so i guess it came to some type of contractual agreement where his next album would be his last under TDE. And guess what?
Starting point is 00:03:57 He didn't put out an album for like four to five years trying to get that straight now. I mean, I think the straw that broke the camel's back was when Baby Kim put out family ties with Kendrick Lamar and it went crazy. Because if you don't know, Baby Keem is under PG-Lang, which is Kendrick Lamar's label. So he's trying to do what Little Warr's. Wayne did for Drake basically bring him up himself using his stardom, but TDE wasn't having none of that. So they wasn't trying to let him go. So it took a while for them to be like, okay, if you give us one more project, we'll let you go.
Starting point is 00:04:33 I don't know. It's probably something else that went on behind the scenes, but that's the gist of it. Mr. Moral and the big steppers come out. And then the year after, this demo version of Element Leaks, if y'all don't know, when you're under a major label, the recording sessions technically is owned by them by the label you're under they're paying you to make music they own anything you record is in all type of language in the contract that whatever you record and put out uh they own well not even put out but whatever you record in certain studios that they
Starting point is 00:05:06 pay for because they pay for studios i'm the major labels that's why they give you an advance and everything because you basically have to pay that back right that's why some major labels right after like Atlantic for example you have a certain bag for advancements or for advances for rappers once they recoup on that advancement
Starting point is 00:05:29 some labels like to just let them walk and go somewhere else because now they have to catalog to work that and make revenue for years to come because people look at it in the human lifespan major labels are going to be around forever
Starting point is 00:05:46 obviously going to outlast humans as well for some major labels they don't because they just go bankrupt but for the big ones like atlantic umg that's why you see these artists getting a humongous bag to give away their royalties and publishing because the major label is going to make that over time like 100 to 200 years from now they're going to be making money from a michael jackson drake from uh j z um who else so well i don't know everybody who sold them but i don't know everybody who sold them a masters but basically i think katie perry sold like a portion or maybe all of her masters basically major labels do this because it's more of a surefire way to make revenue off of a catalog
Starting point is 00:06:29 than taking a gamble which is what it is on a rapper a singer any artist from any genre so when they give you that advancement they're making a gamble but i kind of got off topic i just want to talk about kensi glomar because t dd made a gamble hit hitting the jackpot is an understatement with Kendrick Lamar. And for him to finally be off TDE with seemingly some aggressive tactics, and for this the leak the year after he officially is off of TDE, I think they set him up. Because if you look at the, I'm not going to go through the bars.
Starting point is 00:07:08 You already know what this man said. He was taking a lot of shots at J Electronica, basically, in my opinion, this was really pinpointed at J. Electronica. Like people think he was dissing Drake. I mean, if you think him saying that Drake and Meek Mill beef might get you gassed up, but I'm a whole other beast. I'd really mess you up. Like, come on now.
Starting point is 00:07:28 Like, that's not. Like, honestly, I feel like Kendrick is a better rapper than Drake. But that's not even a diss. Like, he doesn't even, like, he says Drake and Meek Mill beef might get you gassed up. I'm a whole other beast. I've really messed you up. Like, that's not, that's not a diss, bro. That's not a diss.
Starting point is 00:07:45 like he got to come way harder than that if Drake's going to respond which is why he didn't even respond. I don't know if y'all noticed that. Nobody from this everybody who got this did not respond because it was it was weak like that's why I couldn't see nobody
Starting point is 00:08:01 from Kendrick's team like releasing this is not it so and definitely not good look because I'm pretty sure he doesn't want to revisit any type of beef with Drake at this point in time. Now for the other people on this list you know the gist is still up.
Starting point is 00:08:17 But at the end of the day, people think the verse was created by AI. J. Rock, which, as to my point, a member of TDE basically came out on a podcast and said that the verse was real.
Starting point is 00:08:33 So he commenting, he, J. Rock commented on the alleged leaked Kendrick disc saying that it was probably real. He believes it's real. Now,
Starting point is 00:08:45 why would TDE artist come out to confirm elite Kendrick Lamar verse. Think about it. Out of all the people to confirm it, the producer of Element, the head of TDE, Kendrick Lamar's producer, like nobody's coming out to discredit it,
Starting point is 00:09:07 but the only person who confirms it is a person from TDE. Amen. What they say? Y'all don't find that suspicious? Hey, Dr. Umar said, he said, y'all don't find this suspicious, that's crazy. It's honestly kind of, I don't know. That just add, it's just additive to my point.
Starting point is 00:09:29 Like, TDE knows what they're doing by leaking this verse. And at the end of the day, it's not going to help them with album sales. Reason, I think just flopped. No disrespect to reason. Just statistically, I like him as a rapper. He's just, you know, he flopped. But who else? I think Siza is the last.
Starting point is 00:09:49 that they have and I mean obviously scissors like like I said with Kenji Lamar's like hitting the jackpot but um yeah obviously Jayrock's not doing anything most people on TD's not doing anything so for them to for Jay Rock to even come out on a podcast which you know they probably only asked him to come on just to talk about Kendrick think about that and he says the demo version is real y'all let me know man click my link to my bio let me know one of my social medias what do you think about the Kendrick Lamar leaked version of element and do you think this was a tactic
Starting point is 00:10:26 by TDE to some way, some sort of fashion disrupt Kendrick Lamar's movement?
