Now, Siza has mastered the art of minding your own business because being able to collab with Kendrick Lamar, but then also collab with Drake and still be in the middle ground as far as not co-signing one or the other is a hard accomplishment in general for the simple fact that Kendrick had an interview.
with Siza during the lead up to this project.
And she basically asked him,
was he going at anybody during the not like us beef
or the not like us track?
And he basically was saying that it was just him
finding himself as a man.
I'll forget what this man said.
It was something crazy.
Anyway, Sizz is on this track twice.
She's on the track Luther
and then she's on the track Gloria.
The track for this particular album, we're talking about Luther, which is track three off of the GNX album.
So in general, when Kendrick doesn't have Not Like Us on this album, maybe you can kind of get why he said what he said when he was being interviewed by Sizzle.
If you don't know, he was actually interviewed by Sizz.
It's not just something that randomly happened.
Basically, Sizz was interviewing this man.
I think on GQ, I forget what, I'll forget what platform, but it was a huge platform.
for him. Siza asked Kendrick,
can I ask you a hyper-masculine question?
You can also tell me to shut the, you know what, up.
And then Kendrick was like, oh, no, no.
And then Cizzo followed that up by saying,
what does not like us mean to you?
And guess what Kendrick said?
This man said, not like us is the energy of who I am,
the type of man I represent.
Now, if you identify with the man I represent and then he had just trailed, it just trailed off, right?
Like I say all the time, these rappers are professional liars.
So with that being said, let's get back into it.
So Cizza said, break the man down for me.
Asking the real hard hitting questions, right?
I mean, Angela Martinez, what?
Angie Martinez couldn't have said it bad.
her couldn't have said it better herself right anyways asking the hard-hitting question she says break the
man down for me kendrick says this man has morals he has values he believes in something he stands on
something he's not pandering he's a man who can recognize his mistakes and not be afraid to share
the mistakes and can dig deep down into fear-based ideologies
or experiences
to be able to express them
without feeling
like he's less of a man
if I'm thinking of not like us
I'm thinking of me
and whoever identifies with that
now Kendrick fans I just got a question for y'all
when is enough enough
as far as this man
completely backtracking on the meaning
of Not Like Us
Because on this album he definitely doubling down
On some sentiments
In the interview with Sizzah
When she asked him direct questions about not like us
This man was acting like he was a child of God
This man was acting like
He was Jesus himself
The way he was like
Let's just turn the other cheek
My brother
That's not what you said
When he was calling this man a pedophile
On the biggest hip-hop anthem of all time
So with that being said
Siza ended up on the album not once but twice so she's on Luther and Gloria so as far as this
particular track Luther I like how it's a very distinct change and tone and vibe throughout the
album as far as it being track three because it made the album seem not shorter than what it was
but it didn't seem as much of a long listen in the 44 minutes what entail as far as the entire
body of work because of the way that he changed up the tempos and beat structure and just the overall
genre because this is technically like an R&B type track. So with that being said, they definitely
did their thing and you can see why Kendrick will want to keep this relationship intact.
So that being said, after covering track three, Luther offers GNX. Let's get into Man at the Garden,
which is track four produced by sound wave and jack antonoff
