Now, if DJ Mustard doesn't use that drop for the foreseeable future, let's just say it was a missed opportunity.
Because him yelling Mustard, like he was off an episode of Dragon Ball Z, this man powered up to a whole other level to give Mustard that drop.
Now, very interesting for the simple fact that my sentiments when it comes to Kendrick and Mustard is that when somebody gives you,
a beat.
You end up using that beat
and then it becomes
your most successful track of all time.
You would think that
if that producer went on to put out their own
album shortly after
you would at least
give it some type of social media posts.
I mean, is that too much to ask?
I mean, goodness.
I mean, you make a beat for somebody
that's his most popular song of all time.
You put out your album and guess where
they couldn't be bothered.
And then to
basically,
put pour salt in the wound
this man posted
dosi's album which no disrespect to dosi
I'm specifically disrespecting
Kendrick right now
this man posted dosi's
album but couldn't be bothered
to post
DJ Musters album
they ended up going triple
styrofoam now of course
I'll enjoy
muster's music so
I'm not going to slander
mustard because when his album was coming up
I did heavily review it and basically talk about how a post from Kendrick could help out a lot, right?
I mean, is it too much to ask for somebody you gave one of the most successful tracks ever?
You gave the beat for, right?
Is it too much to ask for a shout out of something?
Like, oh, hey, Mustard album coming out, man, check it out.
None of that.
It was just like, you would have never thought, I never knew that DJ Musta would have put out a project
because for this like
I think
Kendrick did what he had to do
as far as co-signing
Mustard on his album,
GNX currently,
which is the track.
We're getting into TV off
if you didn't know.
TV off is where he screams out
mustard,
track seven on GNX.
But basically,
DJ Mustard,
not having the co-signed from Kendrick
is very upsetting
for his own body of work.
Because
because that's
basically where the royalties come as far as the word of mouth and engagement from a
Kendrick post. A Kendrick post right now is priceless. He is unequivocally hip-hop Jesus, the way
that people look at him. So with that being said, whatever he says goes, listen to Mustard
album, throw it up on your socials, and who knows what his first week sales would look like
instead of, I don't know what he sold.
I think 11,000 first week,
it was pretty upsetting to a lot
because of what he did for the culture.
But technically, he has a Grammy nomination.
So if I was to pick a lot of sales,
no Grammy nominations,
which is what Metro ended up doing,
or not a lot of sales.
I mean, a lot of sales would not like us.
I mean, goodness,
that's like a whole album in itself
as far as the units that it moved.
But as far as a Grammy nomination to come with it,
I mean, mustard has been,
been acknowledged by the highest award show in music history.
So that's one thing.
But is it too much to ask for Kendrick to throw up a post whenever Musta was promoting his album?
I think not, which is why I kept saying that when I was covering his album.
When they eventually came out, I was like, Faith of a Musta C, I believe.
But anyways, with all that being said, coincidentally, this is my favorite track off for the album.
I like the vibe of TV off.
I like how he was basically reiterating.
Somebody had to do it because I guess a lot of people didn't like that Canadian
and Kendrick just had to pop it off.
Kendrick Ben had a 10-year beef with the man that put him on on his first tour ever.
Right.
So and stab him in the back fashion,
he harbored that hate and resentment for that Canadian for so long
to the point where when it got to wartime, he was beyond ready.
It's like when a superhero movie.
movie happens and the villain gets into his whole backstory on how he's been waiting for this
moment to get at the hero right that's basically what kendrick did the drake not calling him a
hero i'm just saying the type of preparation of hatred that the hate prep was on a batman level
because this man came with the receipts when not receipts he came with the bars when it came to
uh coming up coming at drake and changing the entire perception of drake so tv all
Off is inevitably my favorite track off of this album for the simple fact that you have mustard.
You have a lot of bars from Kendrick that's very hype and not like us-ish as far as the type of vibe that is giving off.
And it's very much an anthem.
I think this is going to be an anthem.
It's going to be one of the more pivotal tracks off of the album.
But obviously we'll have to wait and see for that one.
But that's basically my review for track seven, TV off.
Now let's get into track eight, which is titled Dodger Blue, which is.
featuring Sam Doo, Inc. and Roddy Rich.
I didn't know he was on this album.
But anyways, let's get into that track right now.
