Starting point is 00:00:03 Sometimes I wonder what Lecrae would do. Now, when somebody starts off like that, just know some deep philosophical knowledge is about to be dropped on you. So anyways, let's continue. Sometimes I wonder what Lecrae would do. Forget these people because it's a PG podcast, so you know I've got to put the verse in the PG format. forget these people or show up and show them just what prayer do i want to be empathetic my heart like d1 but i would and then it trails off and he follows it up with it's time to get these devils out the way now what does all this mean this new track from kendrick lamar a surprise track i might add because it comes off the heels
Starting point is 00:01:08 of his Super Bowl announcement as far as him being the headliner for the Super Bowl halftime show set for February 9th, 2025 at the Caesar Superdome in New Orleans. I think just our first listen, which is a lie, I've listened to just like 520 gazillion times. Is that an actual number? I don't know. But y'all get the point, right? my first impression off of this is that Kendrick is having mercy on Drake. The amount of acknowledgement of God and just a higher power in talking about being
Starting point is 00:01:50 empathetic, asking God to forgive him, and the whole overall title of Watch the Party die could be a glimpse into him letting the public know that the back and forth between him and Drake is effectively over. Now, I may be reaching. That's just my interpretation of my first impression. I could be totally wrong. But off the first listen to someone who's one of the greatest rappers ever, double triple entendres that I have even thought of yet.
Starting point is 00:02:32 as far as a particular or this particular track is solely my first impressions. So with that, let me just give you the surroundings of this particular track. Jay-Z is under so much vitriol right now as far as him choosing Kendrick Lamar to headline the Super Bowl halftime show at New Orleans. Because if you don't know, actually, let me go to my other notes. I do believe I cover this not too long ago. So, okay, it's right here. So basically, Rock Nation in NFL, they have a collaborative deal.
Starting point is 00:03:13 And this marks the sixth year that Jay-Z's Rock Nation has produced the event, which is why he's under so much vitri-roll. People are acting so oblivious and so ignorant to the fact that Jay-Z is in control of who headlines the Super Bowl. They keep bringing up the early 2000s and talking about all the white superstars you can name in life as far as headlining the Super Bowl. Guess what? Nobody controlled the Super Bowl like a hip-hop head via Jay-Z back in that day. So when Jay-Z is actually combining with the NFL to produce not only live entertainment but also to promote activism, which to that point, the opening press conference with him and Roger Goodell, he literally said to the public, were past kneeling. And this is in the midst of everything, 2019, to be exact.
Starting point is 00:04:11 Right before the George Floyd stuff, it's just so much that Jay-Z helped rectify as far as the division between the NFL and the black community. So we're not going to make this entire segment about that. If you want to hear the in-depth details about that, just look up. Jim Lamar, analytic dreams, and it's the one where I'm covering Kendrick's announcement for the Super Bowl. But that's why everybody is mad at Jay-Z. They are coming over all type of lies as far as the city chooses the performance, which is literally debunked by somebody who was on the committee this year coming out and telling
Starting point is 00:04:49 that, oh, NFL and Rock Nation has a pivotal play into who is performing for the halftime show and people are just bringing up articles from like 2017, 2016, like years before the deal was even done between NFL and Jay-Z. So there's a lot of propaganda being thrown at the fact that we shouldn't be blaming Jay-Z, which is very political as far as the tactics they're using. But just no, objectively speaking, Jay-Z had everything to do with choosing the halftime performance, which is why he's under. so much scrutiny because of little way not being chosen not even being chosen as a headliner which to emphasize that fact 50 cent came out on an interview and basically talked about how j z blocked him from coming to the super bowl but m&m was the one who said he went and do it without 50 cent which hence is why we had 50 cent during the dr dr dr jupce super bowl in l a and if you don't believe me i mean
Starting point is 00:05:56 just listen from the horse's mouth himself as far as 50 cent. Once again, shout out to my TikTok analytic dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio. But I'm playing the interview right now. Look, that's Dre too. You see what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:06:17 It's Dre and really M because he didn't, he wouldn't do it without me. Right. How does that come about? You know, because we get, you know, big boy going to get to the bottom of it. But once that Pepsi ad hit and it was like Super Bowl,
Starting point is 00:06:31 Yeah. When did it come about? Like, how did 50 cent become involved? Well, I got the call before the ad went out. Yeah, I hope so. But look, when the, when the, I wasn't in the ad because of, uh, look, Jay Z and him was putting it together. Hmm.
Starting point is 00:06:52 Wait, hold up. So, who he said, who was putting it together? Give me one second. Hold on. What, what do you say? This is 50 cent, mind you. Not just because, you know, sometimes. people are skeptical of certain information.
Starting point is 00:07:06 But, you know, as far as the podcast in general, over time, I think I've proven to be pretty credible. But at this point, I had to use 50 Cent to back it up because, boy, when I tell you, all type of maneuvers are being used to save Jay-Z as far as choosing somebody else as a scapegoat, I've never seen the tricks and smoke and mirrors play like this. Like, Jay-Z's management team is through the roof.
Starting point is 00:07:30 So anyways, let's just listen to you. listen to 50 cent talk about what actually goes on with the performance and who was in charge of it. Jay Z and him was putting it together. So I think they still harbor some energy towards me. Not harbors some energy. Purposely left out of the ad? No, no. I don't think, I think that they, they were saying NFL had some issues.
Starting point is 00:07:52 Yeah, not purposely. It was the NFL, right? It was definitely the NFL. That I don't know what those issues are. What is the issue? What's the issue? You said what I'm saying? Like, look, Drey.
Starting point is 00:08:05 And he just basically goes on to talk about Jay-Z. So everybody knows about Jay-Z and his affiliation with NFL as far as the activist, as far as him being the head, the front runner and the manager of live entertainment and social activism with NFL since the 2019 debacle between the black community and NFL with the Colin Kaepernick taking the need. during the anthem so much we can get into with that but basically what i want to highlight is this this specific track what does that all have to do with this i think this particular track was dropped in the midst of all this news because it was going to be news for at least a week as far as
Starting point is 00:08:46 as his headline and them snubbing little wayne and even drake came out and posted all type of propaganda not propaganda but all type of uh pictures of little wayne as as far as him supporting or in support of the snub and um and wanting little wayne to perform in new Orleans while a hip hop head like j z is the one in sole control over who performs so that being said uh here's drake's account right here you know we always got plug drake and then who is this little wayne it's 23 hours ago so this is up to date uh another picture of little wayne i wonder what he could be saying with all these pictures of little wayne So you may be wondering, Kendrick Lamar drops a whole new track and you're over here talking about Jay Z and Little Wayne.
Starting point is 00:09:37 Ladies and gentlemen, smoke and mirrors are being played at the highest level right now. The reason why this track was dropped was to get the conversation off of the fact that Jay-Z literally snubbed Little Wayne from performing at his hometown in front of the biggest stage of all time. I know a lot of people love to point out the Grammy's manager coming out and saying, oh, Wayne's unprofessional. who didn't show up to any of the rehearsals. But Little Wayne is a legend. Nobody cared when Dennis Rodman was out here partying in Las Vegas and doing God knows what in South Korea because he was coming back and effectively dropping a double-double.
Starting point is 00:10:19 Now, Little Wayne is not Dennis Rodman, obviously. He's a better example would be like Kobe or MJ gambling. Everybody knows MJ's gambling addiction and the rumors behind that. But at the end of the day, you're still not going to let the man perform because of the off-the-court antics. And sometimes his lack of care for performing
Starting point is 00:10:44 when he has shows where he's completely killed it. So that point is just out the window. People are acting like Little Wayne cannot perform for a 13-minute set. Like, let's actually be serious when talking about one of the greatest rappers to ever touch a mic. So that is why. everybody's so mad at Jay Z. It's a pretty big deal.
Starting point is 00:11:03 I don't know if y'all know. I mean, in the hip-hop world, it's a big deal. I know in other worlds, it may not seem as big of a deal. But this is pretty huge. You have your names of names coming out, Master P, Nicky, Mace, Cam, on their podcast. I mean, everybody's calling out Jay-Z, and now we're starting to bring up certain stuff
Starting point is 00:11:22 that Jay-Z's team probably doesn't like because there's a lot of things we can get to. There's a lot of things we can get to. Kendrick Lamar's euphoria is an interesting track because everybody attributes that track to Drake. And that's all I'm going to say, hey, let me just say, if the black vans pull up to my apartment, at least it'll be caught on camera. You know what I'm saying? But yeah, a lot of people, yeah, let me just leave it like that. Euphoria is not just for Drake.
Starting point is 00:11:54 And that's where I'm going to leave it at. What else? What else I was going to get to? Oh yeah, the track. So that's basically, as far as on the global scale, I think is to take the heat off of Jay and put the conversation somewhere else as far as Little Wayne being snubbed. Now we can talk about Kendrick Lamar's new track, which is Watch the Party Die, which is why I started off with a review of, well, my first impressions of the track,
Starting point is 00:12:18 basically saying that this particular track is technically announcing that the battle is over. Watch the Party die, I think, and this is our first impression, so I could be totally wrong. First Impressions of a masterful lyricist like this. I mean, I'm probably not going to have the most accurate review of the lyrics. But I think that Washington Party died from First Impressions is that the battle is effectively over. So I think that's what it is. I think it's basically him just, you know, saying I'm over it now. And I wonder if that means if he's done performing, not like us.
Starting point is 00:12:55 Because what people don't know is, um, Naz doesn't perform ether anymore. there's going to get to a point where Kendrick has to stop performing not like us. I know it's the greatest disc track of all time, quote unquote. But, I mean, does Ice Cube still perform no Vaseline? Does, or did? That's not a good comparison. I was going to bring up Tupac, but, yeah. Yeah, so with Kendrick, there's going to get to a point where, I mean, goodness, brother.
Starting point is 00:13:25 Like, how many times you can call this man a PDF? Like, goodness, with no facts, no, no anything, just screaming. that this man a PDF, naming him. I mean, legally, I don't even know how you can get on the world stage and play not like us. I'm being so serious. Like, the amount of lawsuits that can come out of that, I just, I mean, say Drake, I heard you like him young. On a national stage like the Super Bowl? How would y'all feel?
Starting point is 00:13:50 Well, no proof, no what, like nothing. How would y'all feel? So, I don't know, man. I mean, Trump said people out here eating cats and dogs. So I guess you're just saying whatever at this point without any facts. so uh yeah man with that being said kensrick lamar ladies and gentlemen here to be the night in shining armor for the bad publicity that jay has been receiving with his latest track watch the party die so with that being said click my link sure in my bio let me know one of my social media is
Starting point is 00:14:16 what do you think about the latest track from kentrick lamar titled watch the party die and um a different question do you think this will end up on his future album or no
