Starting point is 00:00:03 you know as far as diving into the latin community safe to say time and time again i've covered the great peso pluma and for this particular segment ladies and gentlemen we are not getting into paco pluma instead we're getting into a youtube turned musician who goes by the name of kenya o s as currently with her specific track leading up into her album which we get to get into in a second but as far as the two two pack that just came out this past Thursday, she put out a single titled Una Y. UltraVez, and she put out another track titled Bella Dona. Now, currently the Una Y. UltraVez track, as far as the music video, it's the 35th most watched music video in the world. It's number seven in Mexico, 31 in Peru, and number seven in Guatemala. Now, of course, when it comes to Kenya,
Starting point is 00:01:05 it's safe to say that she's been active for quite some time now as even though this is a rollout for a new album she has four albums already on ds and her first one was cambios de luna that came out march 24th 2022 so of course when you look at her upcoming release kdea karma that's at the release march 19th of this year a lot of people are highly anticipating this release and of course of course with me having to do my journalistic integrity, you know what I'm putting it under the microscope, safe to say, I had to look up the collaborations between Paceau Pluma. Shepard. Nah, because of course, if they say that she was in a relationship with Paiso Pluma,
Starting point is 00:01:50 I had to do my journalistic research and make sure it was true. It's safe to say, you guys. It actually was. As they confirmed the relationship publicly around early 2025, as they were spotted, at the Super Bowl. But then you know what I'm saying? I was like 10. Now usually I don't get into, you know,
Starting point is 00:02:12 the overall relationships and who's with who. But of course, if there's music attached, then of course I gotta dive into it. So with the only track together on DSP's title, Tommy and Pamela, that's the only track that Paiso Plumachian OS has together. But of course, when you look at their relationship, they were seeing that the
Starting point is 00:02:34 Super Bowl kissing. So of course, you know, Paisa Pluma was pulling out all the stops. And apparently Kenya called Paisa Pluma quote Prince Charming in her 2025 interviews. And of course, I already talked about their musical collaborations, but they've appeared together multiple times. So, you know, it's bound to come up, especially when you're a Latin Grammy-nominated artists especially with your album k23 as kenya os has on under her belt as far as accomplishments so with this specific track as far as belladona that on ds is currently performing better than una y ultra viz as a single but like i said in music video for uno why ultra viz is doing better than belladona so the only thing i could take from that is
Starting point is 00:03:31 of course, worldwide, this music video is going, uh, is basically traveling more than Belladona because of TikTok. I believe because Un-O-Wa-Otraves has a music video attached to it, basically the strong TikTok traction that she's already garnered and acquired and accumulated throughout her career and her accomplishments has led to a lot of people learning more about her music, even me because this is the first time you've ever covered this specific artist so when you look at her when you look at the majority of her fan base being gen z you can i i think you can specifically attest that to the way that ticot traction is currently going for for kenya os as she is a latin musician
Starting point is 00:04:23 tic talk i believe the virility of of it is the most authentic tool you can have as a musician to get your out to the masses without having a major label I'm not saying that blowing up on tic talk is like having a major label but safe to say if you play your cars right as far as a marketing strategy after the ticot virility then safe to say you would be able to uh capitalize off of it so that's especially what kenya OS is doing for um not only her single but of course her upcoming album kD karma that's set to come out march 19 of this year. So as far as sticking on her album, she's also having a live listening party, of course, on the same day as it released, March 19. And the venue is Palacio de los de Portes in Mexico
Starting point is 00:05:15 City. And she's going to have live performances of album tracks, concert style presentation. It's not just going to be a passive playback as the album releases to the masses. So if you're a huge Kenya fan and you're in that location, safe to say you may want to pop out and attend the listening partner because it seems like it's definitely going to be an event as this definitely signals a huge rollout, especially because when I was looking at her music, safe to say she is under Sony. If you look at the credit, she's under Sony Music Entertainment. Currently, Sony has 20% of the entire music market share and of course, there are in the big three objectively speaking of the major labels in the music game so safe to say with
Starting point is 00:06:03 her major label support with her track already gaining traction on the likes of ticot and of course music videos i do believe that when it comes to the overall uh support from a major label from ticot and you know pacer pluma may be on the album i'm just saying i think this this could shape up to have a notorious mass effect, especially in the Latin community. So, I'm trying to see what else. So basically, I do believe that she's single as of right now because I think they were saying Paisal Plumas with somebody else. But the main thing I was going to talk about was definitely her attraction that she's gained by herself.
Starting point is 00:06:48 It's not like Paiso Pluma just like completely uplifted her entire career. she had a career before that like i said in youtube and basically she went to the musical field and of course with her album k23 she basically earned a latin grammy i think she won a latin grammy and uh let me see because i think i had it right here because uh as far as the latin grammy award she basically won it yeah she won an album of the year in twenty 23 um at the grammies and of course when you look at that it's for the Latin Grammys so it's not like the I don't know that's actually wrong I'm looking at Harry Stiles so she has it
Starting point is 00:07:31 I think she definitely was at the I literally just talked about her being at the grammars I don't know why I lost it you know I'm 25 going on 80 you know what I mean y'all gotta bear with me so I'm trying to find the actual album so I actually can't find it that's that's fantastic but anyways
Starting point is 00:07:48 she does have a lot of awards she has 7 MTV M-I-A-W I don't know what that stands for but you know she has seven of those awards one MTV Europe music award she has one heat Latin music award and she does have a Latin Grammy nomination and she just it doesn't specify if it's a win or not I'm assuming it was just a nominee nomination because it would have said if it was a win so as far as her YouTube career she basically began vlogging and the first video did 10,000 views out the gate so she already had a huge huge fan base that was one to see her work right so now as far as her getting at some music it's no
Starting point is 00:08:28 surprise that the music video is one of the main things that drives the traction back to her actual discography so i think it's going to i think this is a phenomenal rollout it's definitely in the early stage as the album's not set to not set to come out until march 19 and of course with overall appeal as far as on ticot i think and of course being signed to sony i think that this is shaping up to be a phenomenal Latin music album when it comes out so with that being said click my link to my bio let me know one of my social medias what do you think about Kenya OS and her upcoming album K day karma that's set to come out March 19 and do you believe that she's one of the more up-and-coming Latin musicians that we have in the music industry currently
