Now, I'm pondering how many glitches for the Twitch the Kodak Black take while making this album?
Shepard.
All right.
My fault.
I'm just over here posing the questions that need to be answered.
So anyways, with that being said, Kodak Black has released a new album titled Just Getting Started.
And he just released his album.
And as far as this being released under Volture Love slash Capitol Records, the entire
album has 20 tracks and it's one hour and four minutes in length but then you come to look at the feature
list and it's a pretty star-study cast i mean you have chance to rapper who interestingly enough i have not
listened to his album at all as far as this year like i've listened to it as far as in passing but i don't think
i've really sat down like really deep dive on oh like i've really enjoyed this album like i've really
listened to the chance to rap album and it went on to the next one like that nothing really stood out to me
the main reason why I'm saying that.
I said a lot of people, interestingly enough,
is saying that he is one of the best albums of the year
from a hip-hop perspective.
So, yeah, do that what you will.
For me personally, I didn't have anything that stood out to me,
but, you know, other people probably gave him more listens.
So let me say, you also have Ferreira Williams.
He has the one and only Gunna Tello on the album.
Then you have Lil Yadi, Don Tolliver,
who just put out a track I just covered not too long ago.
and then that's basically it
so when it comes to that
the main thing about Kodak Black
is
his
public
viral
one of his viral clips
being concerning to his fans
I know a lot of them went viral as far as
I'm not going to say he's battling anything
specifically because you know I'm not trying to sue
but there's a reason why I started off
how many glitches for the Twitch did he take for this album
unless you put it like that right
So now, when you look at the overall creativity of Kodak Black, it's through the roof.
And interestingly enough, that is connected to another artist whose artistry definitely came from his vices.
Let's just put it like that.
And I don't want to get too morbid, but y'all probably know the connections I'm making.
So when people talk about Kodak Black in a concerning way, I think it's justifiable in the landscape of hip-hop history,
especially the past three to four years right looking at this album i actually do not know
what codec black is going to do as far as first week sales because i'm not too
in tune with codec as far as if it's not him having a viral outburst and things that nature
which i see what i was looking for um let me see so as far as the first week sales
The main thing I was wanting to look at was his career first week sales.
It's safe to say, they're usually around 40 to 60,000 first week.
It seems like dying to live was his most popular album that came out December 14, 2018.
Now, when you look at his latest album, was it Haitian?
What in the world?
Ain't the way he called his album that.
Let me actually look.
What in the world?
Haitian Boy Code.
That came out.
2021.
So I'm trying to see what's another one.
This man has a lot of albums.
I ain't gonna lie to you.
Gift for the streets,
trail bill.
There's too many of the count.
Yeah,
I don't think Kodak,
from my objective standpoint,
I don't think he's going to sell a lot
with this album out the gate.
But he does have a plethora of features
that could make the single blow up.
Like the track with Gunna,
if you don't know,
Gunna is currently one of the artists
offered this album listing
that is on the charts.
He has a track titled,
WG,
FT, which is currently the 59th most played track in the world, and that's featured a burner boy,
and that's been on the charts for about 11 weeks.
So when you look at Kodak Black having stars on his album, I would say currently, Gunna's the biggest
start, because I don't believe Don Tolliver is.
Let me see.
Actually, Don Tolliver does have a track with Low Scheme, Title III AM that came out.
No, no, that's the 100th most played track in the world.
I remember covering that one.
But all the other artists on this list, I don't think is on the charts.
Yeah. So if I were to guess, if I was a better man, I would probably say the Kodak Black Gunna track, endless nights may end up on the charts. But you know how a lot of people feel about Gunna.
So I wonder if they're going to come out and have that same energy for Kodak Black. Well, you know, they probably aren't because, you know, the street politics is very fickle.
They choose one person to kill as far as certain actions they have. And their other actions seem to just get a lot of
right it's just allowed and just permissible actions and it's very interesting how that
happens anyways Kodak Black missed a glitch for the Twitch himself as you can tell I'm not
the biggest listener of Kodak black I do enjoy certain offerings he has as far as
musically but as far as in tune with Kodak Kodak is one of the artists that I'm not
gonna say I could care less but his music I think needs more consistent consistency
And I think he needs like an actual marketing team behind them as far as not putting out so much music.
Because if you're trying to imitate the young boy strategy and it's not working,
and you look at young boy strategy that's similar to yours and it is working.
It's safe to say that you shouldn't implement the same strategy as him because what works for one person doesn't work for the other.
I think Kodak Black, I'm not going to say he needs to go on a hiatus.
But goodness gracious, I just looked at this man at discography.
I had trouble finding the album.
I mean, he has gift for the streets that came out in 2024, Trail Bill, Diogen, Octave, whatever that is, Voltra Love Presents, all that came out on 2024.
So this is the first album in 2025, but it's a lot of albums that you put out in certain years.
That makes people be like, forget a year break.
We have to take a two-year break and make people actually miss you because four albums in one year, that's insane.
So anyways, what that would be said, I think the main thing that Kodak's,
team is doing is putting the track with Chance the Rapper on a lot of playlist so to still get
Chanel so that's interesting so the producer of that track is dr zeus and this is the first time
kodak black and chance the rapper have reunited since 2017 on the track with two chains i'm not
crazy life is which is a phenomenal title um when it comes to kodak let's just say i don't have high
hopes for this album but for the kodak black fans out there that also listen to notorious mass
effect just note this segment was for you so that be said click my link to you in my bio let me know
on one of my social media is what do you think about codec black and his album just getting started
and at the end of day do you believe that codec is still a pivotal player in a hip-hop game or not
