After listening to the first four tracks of Pistols and Pearls by Kodak Black,
I am convinced that this man only put out this album to promote unknown artists.
The only artist I see as a feature that I know, and I'm not saying I know every artist,
but I do know the big ones, is Money Bag Yo.
Not Money Bagel, ESTG, which might as well be the same person.
But, you know, don't come at me.
Hey, I'm just stating the facts.
so anyways
card i black is back again i don't know what he's going to do with this album it seems like he
doesn't even uh seem to be put on any effort into the promo as he literally dropped us out of nowhere
i believe i don't think there was any single for this album and also um the features that he
has for a track number two and three got to be one got to be a candidate for one of the worst
features of 2023 so anyways putting that to the side because i've only heard four tracks and i'm not
going to be judging the entire album based off that the rest of it can be straightfire from
five down but i do like number one of course codec by himself and i definitely like number four
i like the melody that he used for number four and i feel like that if kodak always keeps evolving
and changing his sound and melodies he may get a couple more calls for kendrick to help him out with
his album which i always talk about cosines and the importance and the power of a cosine in hip-hop makes
people look at you completely different because no matter how you want slice it people are sheep and at the
end of the day they see one of the coolest most prominent artists that we've ever had in the hip hop
industry cosigned somebody like kodak even though he's already a legend more people are going to start
giving him credit what credit is due so anyways with this album i can't really give a definitive review
because of course i haven't listened to it and i don't like giving reviews as soon as i listen to an album
but we can't follow the facts of the album.
So this is 21 track project.
It includes guest appearances from ESTG
and a bunch of other artists
that you probably don't even know who they are.
No disrespect.
We just keep in it eight more than 92 with you.
So,
Yack is back,
which is just, you know, the nickname of Kodak
just in case you was, you know,
kind of confused.
But anyways, yeah,
the rapper confirmed
or social media,
confirmed a release on social media last week,
which lets you know that there was no type of plan
for a rollout for this album,
which is unfortunate as if it's 21 tracks,
you would think you would get some type of rollout.
But once you saw the features on this album,
you realize that this was kind of just for the artist up under his wing
and not for Kodak himself.
And that's unfortunate because it's not unfortunate.
I take that back.
I'm wrong with that one because I haven't listened to the entire album,
but for what I listened to, I like the first one in the fourth one, and not a four.
That's a 50% bad in average.
And so hopefully the rest of the album can provide more bangers.
As I felt like the fourth track with the Spanish artists, I thought that was just straightfire.
I could see that one actually blowing up.
But Kodak, of course, came out to congratulate his fans and just to thank them for supporting him.
And he said, quote, thanks to everyone that's been on his journey with me.
loving and thugging i couldn't find peace without all the violets
that's wild that's wild to say but anyways he said at atlantic records it's been well
nothing but gratitude in the utmost respect you know this is an interesting move if this is the last
album that he has under atlantic records and then he goes to whatever he wants to go which a lot of
people are guessing is going to be i think it's called empire where all the new artists are signing under
the universal music anyways um if everybody's acting like when you're on your last album the label
doesn't promote it then why not just surprise drop it and put a bunch of artists who don't really get
to shine like that on major artists or major label artists so hopefully that makes sense i'm
thinking i'm thinking this is just a throwaway as that when he said Atlanta records is being well
I think that's a telltale sign that everything may have not been going the best.
And he just decided to put out this project with some, I don't want to be disrespectful,
but basically no names and promote his homies.
So anyways, click my only tree in my bio.
Let me know on one of my social medias.
What do you think about Codec Black and his latest album titled Pistols and Pearls?
What a name.
That is insane.
And will you be giving it?
Alyssa.
