Now, I just want to start off by player hating because Quavius, you're not slick, buddy.
So anyways, in other related news, right?
Lena Del Rey has put out a new single titled Henry, comma, come on.
Now, of course, the last time I covered Lena Del Rey was when she put out a track with Quavius in July 12, 2024.
And that track was titled Tough.
I'm not going to lie to you.
as far as the melodic efforts of quavius on that track i think it was phenomenal as far as the
blending of two genres because if you don't know when it comes to lena del ray right let's just say
there's a lot of different uh there's a lot of differences between what she does and hip-hop
so her putting out this style of music and of course the way that she goes about her overall
style right because henry come on is more of a country inspired ballet with a lot of southern gothic
undertones. Now what does that mean? That means there's a lot of romance and romantic elements
sprayed throughout this entire track, right? One of them being last call, hey, y'all, hang this hat
up on the wall. Tell him that his cowgirl is gone. Speak on how, well, tell me that's not how
to break a cowboy's heart. So anyways, all jokes aside, when it comes to laying a
Del Rey. It was a lot of things I wanted to say as far as her putting out, uh, putting out her
album, the right person will stay. But it's not out yet. So don't kill me. It is out May 21st,
2025. So with that being said, it's 13 tracks, right? The confirmed collaborators are Luke
Laird, I think that's how you say it, Jack Antonoff, which I believe Jack helped Taylor Swift
with a lot of her, her music, right? Zach Donn's.
Drew, Drew Erickson, and if you don't know, it's been a minute since she's put out an album, right?
So I was kind of confused about this rollout, because if you look at it, this is her single for her upcoming album from May 21st of this year, right?
But the last time I checked, her last album came out in 2023.
Now, of course, in hip-hop, that's a lifetime.
But in regular music world, it's really just two years, right?
So March 24th,
2023 is when she put out her last offering title.
Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Boulevard?
I think that's like it.
So anyways, that's an hour and 17 minutes of a project, 16 tracks and length.
And ultimately, it's under a Polydora Records release,
Interscore Records Release in USA, under exclusive license to universe and music operations.
Now, first, ignorantly, I've never seen music operation, universal music operations.
I was thinking it was T-MU-M-G, until I looked it up and realized it was actually UMG.
I don't know why the credit say operations.
So essentially, when it comes to Polydor Records, it's a British record label with roots tracing back to 1913 in Germany.
I just know they was letting the hard R fly back then.
Anyways, the UK in 1954 as a subsidiary of Dutch grandma, grandma fond, grandma fond, I think that's how you said.
But essentially, that is a music label in itself, right?
But now it's a subsidiary to UMG, the world's largest music company.
If you don't know, they currently have 60% of the entire music market share.
So Polydor is a subsidiary of UMG.
With that being said, that was acquired by Polly Graham, Polly Dora's parent in 1998,
and a 50% stake in Interscope in 1995.
Keep in mind, this is all under UMG, allowing UMG to streamline operations and leverage
global distribution network.
So going back to the actual credits of Lena Del Rey, let's just say, it's saying
universal music operations makes a lot more sense now because boy, is that a lot of
subsidiaries under one label it's almost like it's a mona anyways you know i don't want lucian grange
coming after me so anyways um lena darrell ray is currently not on the charts but when it comes to her
previous performance on the charts you know she's had some hits in the past and of course when it
comes to the marketing uh marketing rollout of this year you got to uh keep in mind that this is her
10th studio album so safe to say she knows the thing of two about how to promote music especially with
the longevity as far as her career being considered so ultimately she is having a live debut headlining
stage coach festival on april 25th 2025 and she has came out to say herself that a very special
country set including henry come on is set to
to impress the masses along with other unreleased tracks.
And also there's a summer tour for Lena Del Rey in UK and Ireland shows
scheduled post stage coach.
So if you're a huge Lena Del Rey fan, well there you have it.
So with that being said, uh, Henry, come on is out now on all DSPs, right?
And she's ultimately leading up to her album.
The right person will stay.
May that will come out May 21st 2025 so that being said click my link to my bio let me know
on one of my social medias what do you think about Layna del Rey as a country musician and ultimately
what do you think about her collab with Quavius as far as tough and at the end of the day
are you looking forward to the right person will stay that eventually will come out May 21st
2025
