Starting point is 00:00:00 After accomplishing what Jermaine Cole could not as far as making a certified hit with a BTS member, Lotto is back again. With a new single, It's a Party. Now, of course, I had to throw out that Jermaine Slander because at the end of the day, I still do not forget that he tried to create a hit with hope from BTS and it end up flopping. and no discredit to hope for BTS because I like most of the BTS members as far as the solo music John Cook obviously is on a whole different level at this point
Starting point is 00:00:40 I just had it compared it to because I feel like it's funny how overrated certain artists are who do features in a flop but then Lotto does a feature with John Cook and it literally breaks the record for the longest running number one hit
Starting point is 00:00:59 by an Asian act in Billboard history. All right, let's just put that out there. You know what I mean? Just got to come with facts because, you know, analytics is something I love to cover because, of course, being analytic dreams, a lot of people dream of running up the numbers. John Cook and Lotto actually did.
Starting point is 00:01:17 But this isn't about them. So it was about one of them. Lotto is back again with the new track titled, It's a Party. The biggest thing about this is that It's very much a direct hit type track. They're trying to hit people with this track. If the shoe fits, wear it. It's one of them type tracks.
Starting point is 00:01:43 Lotto's warning her haters, going back and forth with her naysayers, or not back and forth, but basically giving bars to her naysayers. That's one thing about Lotto. Lotto can really, really rap. One of the more prominent figures and women rap and rap in general but i do have to say women rap because that's kind of his own
Starting point is 00:02:05 genre at this point with the explosion of the amount of women rappers in the game thanks to carty b reason why i say thanks to carty b we've really got to talk about it you know it's a thing called gang banging and to bring that into women rap is just beyond irresponsible And that is something on Nikit Tanya Mirage has done to the point where the Cardi versus Nikki fiasco at the MTV Awards was more of a story than actually winning awards, which is unfortunate. If you don't know, it's a whole lot to happen. I'm not going to cover it all here.
Starting point is 00:02:55 But basically, Nikki was having her husband who has his own history doing a lot of childish and braggadocious and a lot of flagrant acts towards Cardi at the war show, right? To the point where they put up some type of video and the day after you can look this up. A judge ordered Nicky Minaj's husband to be on how to be on probation because he did something to violate his rights to be out because he was, you know, threatening, threatening. offset. So with that being said, gang banging has been entered into women rap and I don't like it at all. I do like when women rappers go at each other because hip hop is a contact sport. That's like women trying to play football, but they're like, oh, no, it's only touch. It's only flag football. And guys out here straight up, you know, hitting people, right? You got to have the same level of impact if you want
Starting point is 00:04:03 the same level of recognition, which is why I believe at this point is, it's blossom into what it is today because of that Nikki and Cardi B versus. I always say negative news and positive news do not travel at the same speed. Negative is much faster because everybody loves paying attention to a train wreck, not calling Cardi or Nikki a train wreck, just calling their confrontation and her back and forth, an ultimate train wreck at the end of the day. Lotto falls into this because, of course, she has enough of people hating on her.
Starting point is 00:04:42 She's accompanied by Georgia rapper Baby Drill, emphasizing his readiness. Let's just leave it at that. And it interpolates Waka Flaka Flames, hit song, Grove Street, Parties. So if you was wondering, where does that sample come from? It's from Waka Flaka.
Starting point is 00:05:03 hit song Rove Street Party that being said the collaboration is out on all DSPs a video set to premiere soon I know that's great news to a lot of you I understand I understand um Lotto has been enjoying hits like put it on the floor again with Cardi B which is like one of my favorite tracks of 2023 very interesting tip bit the whole Cardi versus Nikki made it so that artists have to choose size now like an Ice Spice and Cardi B collab you would never see it ever
Starting point is 00:05:41 unless Ice Spice and Nikki are beefing you would never see it. Lotto and Nikki collab you would never see it because they are currently beefing like for real like Nikki called out Lotto by name I believe because Lotto is such a talented artist that you have to be direct with her
Starting point is 00:06:01 because a lot of these other artists Nikki doesn't even give the time a day but because Lotto, from my perspective, is lyrically inclined, also has major success in the industry at this point. Nikki not feels threatened because she still puts up numbers as, that's naive. Like, it's not a comparison for Nikki and the rest of the women rappers, which is why Nikki is the queen of rap. But Lotto, on the other hand, is making her own wave to the point where, Nikki addressed her a bunch of times even putting out folk like Nikki was very bothered about what Lotto had to say way back in the past I don't know if it was last year or earlier this
Starting point is 00:06:49 year basically they had their back and forth if you can look it up if you want to I'm not going to cover the whole thing but Naki uh Naki Nikki basically called Lotto a grandma so women insults to other women be cutting deep I ain't gonna lie to you. And the picture she used, Nikki was not, Nicky was not holding back on any stretch of imagination. So that being said, um,
Starting point is 00:07:17 it's basically it. You know, baby drill is interesting to collaborate because at the end of the day, he is from Atlanta, you know, who else is from Atlanta? But I ain't going to say nothing, you know, his name started with 21, and was Savage. But um, as far as her infatuation with Atlanta rappers, that's the story for another day.
Starting point is 00:07:36 Hopefully Lotto has a great success with this track. I think she will. Lotto is one of those where when she raps, people listen. By people, I mean me. Like, Lotto be rapping, rapping. So one of my favorite women rappers in the game. So with that being said, click my link through in my bio. Let me know in one of my social medias.
Starting point is 00:07:56 What do you think about Lotto's new single, It's a Party? And if you've listened to it, do you think it's fire or trash?
