Episode Date: June 2, 2023Linktree: https://linktr.ee/AnalyticIn October 2022, a feud erupted between Nicki Minaj and Latto on Twitter. The dispute began when Minaj expressed her dissatisfaction with the fact that her song ...4;Super Freaky Girl" was not nominated for any rap categories at the 2023 Grammy Awards. She then went on to say that if her song was not considered a rap song, then other songs that were considered pop-adjacent rap songs, such as Latto's "Big Energy," should not be considered either.Latto responded to Minaj's tweet by saying that she was "disappointed" in Minaj's comments and that she had "always looked up to her." She also pointed out that "Big Energy" had been certified platinum and had reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The feud between Minaj and Latto continued for several days, with both artists exchanging barbs on Twitter. Minaj accused Latto of "copying" her style and of being "unoriginal." Latto, in turn, accused Minaj of being "jealous" of her success. The feud eventually died down, but it left a sour taste in the mouths of many fans. Some people felt that Minaj was being unnecessarily harsh on Latto, while others felt that Latto was being disrespectful to Minaj. It is unclear if Minaj and Latto will ever patch things up. So Lotto is back again to claim the throne as the best woman rapper in the game,
which nowadays can be considered or it's a debate on her being one of the best rappers in general in the game.
As she's came back with a pretty popular artist, I might add, for her remix, put it on the flow.
And you have to say it with the D because if you put it with the T-H, I believe it doesn't.
It loses its umph, which is not actually a word, but I'm going to use it to describe what I'm trying to say right now.
So basically put it on the flow.
It's kind of like a poking the bear type situation.
You know, shout out to Dylan Brooks.
But if you don't know, Lotto and Niki Minaj is currently beefing.
And why?
Man, nobody knows.
Honestly, I was going to look it up, but everybody knows that the more spicy beef and the more beef with notoriety,
I can't even say the word, but it's Cardi B and Onika Tanya Mirage.
As everybody knows that situation back in September 2018, when at the Harper's Bazaar fashion week
out of all places, Cardi B and Nikki got into a little scuffle, you know, just a little bit
of a scuffle, and they was throwing heels back and forth like they was trying to tell each other
what to wear. You know what I mean? Like they was just throwing clothing items at one another.
You would have thought they were just best friends the way that they was just
trying to showcase the latest outfit. So anyways, right now we have a new rendition of the beef
or just a new addition to the beef as Put It on the Flow remix has Cardi wrapping out of her mind
and I mean recently Cardi's been a little quiet for all my Cardi fans out there you probably know
exactly what I'm talking about. But last time she tried to come out with a hit single literally
had Kanye West and Little Dirk and still somehow flop. I don't understand how that happened. I think
maybe it's a little Kendrick-ish the way that Cardi thought her fan base was going to react to the single
as she was away for a little bit she came back with a single and I think she expected the same
amount of support as Kendrick got for Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers.
But as far as the single, it was just not that.
Like as far as the single that she put out with Little Durk and Kanye West, all I got to say is
look up the title to that song with Cardi B, Kanye West, and Little Durk.
and that was the exact description of the quality of the song.
But anyways, we're focusing on this, put it on the flow remix as they are really talking
their stuff.
And it's really because of the beef with Nicki Minaj as Lotto's recent beef with
Nicky Minage, Cardi's longstanding beef with Nicky Minaj has kind of catapulted into
this type of remix as it made almost perfect sense for them to collab on a,
petty track, which is definitely poking the bear at all her haters when referring to Lotto.
And another thing I have to say about Lotto is I think that she's probably one of the best
rappers in the game currently as Lotto and her appeal, her uniqueness, and taken away
the whole, it's a 10 on mute, you know, shout out to the goat.
But when it comes to Lotto, that couldn't be farther from the truth as her lyrical ability
definitely matches her outside appearance.
Let's just say it.
Let's just put it like that.
But anyways, the track is pretty solid.
I listened to it a bunch of times,
had to catch the subs.
You know, it just came out.
So I may not have been able to catch all the subs.
But all I know is when Cardi B came on,
she was talking spicy.
And I mean, in a way that made you feel like,
okay, well, she obviously knows that Nikki Minaj
is going to listen to this track.
And guess what?
She probably will be.
So anyways, I pulled up the one with just Lotto.
So if I could pull up the one with Lotto and Cardi B.
Let me see if I can find that one.
It's really just showing me the one with Lotto.
But anyways, the one with Cardi B should probably put remix.
Okay, give me one second.
I'm put a remix.
I'm not editing this out either.
You know what I mean?
Sometimes you got to go with the flow.
But anyways, okay, so this is the one with Cardi B, right?
And then Cardi B came out the gate just shooting.
And some people may say it's not a direct shot at her.
But anyways, she says, put your bestie in a pack.
Now, I'm smoking on her too.
Now, if I was a betting man, I would say she's probably referring those bars or aiming
those bars at Ice Spice.
Now, I know, you know, why are we perpetuating beef?
But at the end of the day, we have to put two and two together.
And even though Ice Spice is on outside appearance, she's not harming or not,
trying to insult anybody she had to catch a stray simply because of her affiliation with onika tanya
mirage i mean cardi b literally started out the track saying i ain't smoking on no zah little expedive
i'm smoking on you put your bestie in a pack and now i'm smoking her to
who could those bars be attributed to on a beef track when
when Lotto and Cardi B has a common antagonist who just crowned a new artist, a new up-and-coming
artist, I might add.
It's just the perfect recipe for a battle.
That's all I'm going to say.
I'm going to call it a battle because unlike the notorious and Tupac situation, I don't think
this would get violent in any stretch of the imagination, nor do I want it to get violent.
And so I'm glad it's just put in music in a way to let them know that, hey,
you picked your side now you just got to stand on it and honestly i think if carty b reached out
to ice spice for a collab i think she would do it but i did say if you go back to my you know shameless
plug if you go back to my ice spice princess diana remix with nicky menage i did say that i ended
that segment saying do you think niki minage will let cardi b will let ice spice accept a cardi b feature
and now I think it's clear what the answer is with this type of track.
I mean, Cardi B came out shooting.
Obviously, she didn't say a name, but neither did Nikki or Ice Spice on Princess Diana
remix.
And I think in general, Lotto and Cardi B together is definitely a better duo than Nicky
Minaj and Ice Spice.
It's simply for the fact, Nicky Minaj is one of the best rappers, I think, of all time.
but iSpyce really has just one flow so niki can't carry the whole entire song and so as far as lato and carty b
they both did their thing on put it on the flow remix obviously princess diana remix was a standout
on the ice spice uh debut uh album but as far as like commercial appeal i think lato and carty b has them
beat by a mile no disrespect to nicky it's just i don't think ice spice is on lotto's level yet and i don't
that Nikki lapsed Cardi enough to make up for the Ice Spice level of lyricism that she's spewing at the direction of Onika Tanya Mirage.
So click my link to my bio, let me know on one of my social medias.
Am I reaching talking about this beef between Cardi B. Lotto versus Ice Spice and Nikki?
Or do you think I'm onto something with this Put It On the Flow remix?
