Starting point is 00:00:04 Getting a Teleto in her return to the music industry, especially with her track, Blixom, as far as the remix featuring Playboy Cardi. Now, if you don't know, Blixone was originally on sugar heise, sugar honey ice tea. Now, as far as the first week sales, they were not tremendous. The first week sales was 29,000 first week, and she secured the number 15 debut on Bill board 200 the thing i wanted to get into as far as a lot as far as lot of and the consumption not being as high she would a hope is that just because you don't sell a lot does not mean that you're making terrible music just because you sell a lot does not mean you making the greatest music is basically not correlated like as far as high quality and high streams there's no
Starting point is 00:01:01 correlation. Basically, the anticipation that you can build up is the objective litmus scale that we can use to gauge who's the most popular superstar in this land of music. But when it comes to quality, that's more of a subjective metric. We really can't quantify that in any sort of way besides, like maybe beat construction versus construction. Like, there's not a lot of things from a quality standpoint. that's objective in music, right? So, subjectively speaking, I do believe that Lotto put out a great body of work with sugar, honey, ice tea. From a lyrical standpoint, from a beat selection standpoint,
Starting point is 00:01:45 I think she's one of the premier acts right now, as far as from a lyrical and effort in the consistency all that into itself, I think she's one of the premier acts when it comes to specifically that. Like when I listen to her body of work, sugar, honey, ice, you could tell that she put a lot of work into like what she was saying on a track and she was actually trying to tell a story instead of trying to just hit a lick on the hip hop industry because if you don't know Lotto's been around since 2016 as far as her album so if you look at Lotto and from a music standpoint because we already know how she looks physically you know what I'm saying we focus on music guys got focus up so if you look at Lotto from a music standpoint The music that she started out with was Can't Believe Her back in 2019. That's what's on DSPs as far as singles and EP. But what's interesting is that Miss Mulatto is from 2016.
Starting point is 00:02:46 So I don't know how that works. But anyways, as far as DSPs, that's what it says. So October 1st, 2016 is when Lado put out her first album. It was eight songs, 30 minutes, and it was titled Miss Mulatto. So somebody like that in 20, 24 obviously has a love for the craft of hip hop or else you want to be trying to put these stories together verbally for so long to to have the masses attention right so they would have if he wasn't passionate about this i think they would have gave up a long time ago that's my main point because of course when she started out uh in 2016 she uh went under pit stop and released several mist tapes including la laudo let them know in 2017 and Lotto in 2018, which helped her build basically her foundation as far as her fan base in the Atlanta rap scene. And then of course, because of her rise of popularity in 2019 with her track, this is a PG podcast.
Starting point is 00:03:45 So we're just going to say female from the South. Let's just put it like that or woman from the South, right? Basically, that popular track became a breakout hit for her, for her and even cemented her even more to the music landscape. So now you need a bigger major label to Basically help out with your newfound success So her Transition from Pistop to RCA Records is what helped her out a lot As in March 2020 she was officially announced that it was officially announced that Lotto signed with RCA Records
Starting point is 00:04:23 So from 2016 to 2020 She found her major label as far as success and things that nature. Now from 2020 to 2024, we see her as one of the premier acts in the Atlanta rap scene. But the first week sales and the overall consumption of Lotto's music is not of what you would think of when you think about Atlanta superstar. So I would say from a quality standpoint, I think she should be mentioned with the superstars in the rap game. But from a objective metric like sales, she's just not as consumed as you would hope. That is why when you have have Cardi who that's a whole other discussion. Cardi's just getting backpacked by every single
Starting point is 00:05:03 superstar in the rap game. I mean if he's not on the Kanye's track he's on the weekend track just getting carried on the charts. So currently Cardi has the 17th most played track on the 17th most played track in the world because the weekend track timeless has some featured. So the weekend and play with Cardi's timeless track is the 17th most played track in the world. world. Now the reason why I'm saying this is because those two correlate. Now you have somebody who's hard to market from a consumption standpoint, but you obviously know she has the quality. And you have somebody who I don't know why, but this man just gets famous for not putting out any music by himself, right? So with that being said, let's pin. So basically from a quality level, obviously
Starting point is 00:05:53 is subjective. But what I think about Playbricardi's quality is very low. It's very low. It's very subpart right but from an objective metric he really brings in consumption so you here comes a loto and playb Ricardy remix for the track blixum which is out now on all dsps so that being said click my link to my bio let me know one of my social medias what do you think about blix some featuring play big cardi and do you think this would end up being a hit on the charts and as far as you personally do you think this track is fire or trash
