Starting point is 00:00:03 Mean like, like I'm letting you know, this was going on. Trump, tripping. I come through crazy. Set it off. What a name? I say what's the name? Like, when I was on. So talking about what's the name, Lotto, just dropped the album titled Sugar, Honey, Ice Tea.
Starting point is 00:00:29 Now, we're going to be having Lotto give us a lot of different ATL renditions of how to say certain words. But in the midst of that, also want to talk about how this is her third studio album under rca records because of course it's featured artists like sierra cocoa jones uncho who is that hun x ho i think i've heard him before but i don't know uh young nudie tizo touchdown um making the stout megan the stallion that's from the remix with flammilli i believe so that's an older track and maria the scientist so obviously this has a blend of various genres i mean atl it's got to be a lot of influence from that as far as the bass and rmb um a lot of old school hip hop and obviously i can't
Starting point is 00:01:20 give you like a first impression because i didn't listen to the album but i did listen to the first track and let me tell you that track was phenomenal it really had me excited to get into the album because I'm not going to call her the female Drake because that would be disrespectful. But let's just say the amount of attention to detail for the Sonics is noted. I think she took a lot of influence from the greatest of all time, which is nothing wrong with that because she's also putting her own story into her raps because that's what makes you unique. Right.
Starting point is 00:02:00 So the style is a lot. lot of sonically pleasing vocals as far as melody wise and then you come with the hard-hitting verses and that's what i got garnered from the first track so after listening to the intro i'm like oh okay i kind of see how she's coming like she's really trying to give us one of those as far as a project and she she's going for her for a classic like that's basically the vibes i got from the intro like she really put a lot of thought into this album and with that let's enter uh let's get a little intermission for another definition. Tell what's the name the other day?
Starting point is 00:02:37 Jugg. These niggin'n't be chugging. You know what I'm saying? I'm not going. They go bust a jug. All right. So with that being said, when the album drops,
Starting point is 00:02:49 please listen in order. And don't skip Big Mama just because it's already out. I put a lot of effort into the sequence. So ladies and gentlemen, that's to tell you all you need to know. Lotto is out here trying to give us a classic body of work she's already telling you um to listen to the album in order right
Starting point is 00:03:11 because there's notable tracks off of this album that's already being released and with that being said i've already already talked about her chart performance and i'm not going to be biased i'm just going to say that the tracks that she put out before the album as far as the top of the top did not performed like I thought they were right big mama Sunday service put it on the floor I think the more notable appearances from those uh or the notable outings from those was uh put it on the floor which definitely had a successful run on the charts and Sunday service which obviously was the reason why there was a remix version with megan the stallion and the flow milly big mama even though the quality was at a higher clip than these other musicians
Starting point is 00:04:05 I think the longevity on the charts wasn't as matching with the quality level because I always say just because somebody engages with your content listens time after time doesn't mean your quality is high it just means that whatever you are saying is impacting their masses to the point they want to come back but quality wise is more objective and I'm objectively saying that Lotto has been putting out some of the best material music wise, hip-hop wise, in 2024, compared to every rapper. Like top three, top five. The clip of high quality coming from Lotto is inferior to very few. And when I say few, I'm probably talking about people who are kind of crossing over to other genres, like a Shibuzi. Like I'm not really comparing her to some of the people who may have more. more dominance on the charts, whether it's a sexy red, a Glorilla, even though I really enjoy Glorilla's music, right? But as far as the overall clip, I think Lotto has a higher quality
Starting point is 00:05:17 average, personally speaking, of course, than those two previous artists that I just named. But, to be fair, their tracks are having longevity on the charts, right? Because even, I was trying to look it up i think it was actually i don't think sexy red or glo rilla has any tracks charting anymore which is very interesting yeah they don't have any tracks charting anymore huh huh oh i'm on albums i was like what in the world i was like i thought they yeah okay so glo rilla she has like three charts uh three tracks on the charts and then sexy red i can spell a name right yeah sexy red has also three track no no two tracks on the charts yeah one is 70 uh 70th most played track in the world with get it sexy and you my everything is the 80th most played track in the world with uh
Starting point is 00:06:26 you my everything featuring drake and then glorilla has wannabe which is i think the most popular track from a woman artist currently yeah which is the 27th most played track in the world we've been on the charts for about 17 weeks so just bona fide hit at this point um tg i f which has been on the charts for about six weeks and it's the 46 most play track in the world and then you have oh yeah glow of course uh that's the 43rd most played track in the world been on the charts for a whopping 25 weeks that's insane so when i bring up blotto and her quality i try not to be biased and also bring up her uh her analytical performance and i'm not comparing these people to regular artists obviously lot of successful i'm comparing her to the
Starting point is 00:07:22 cream of the crop it's like winning the championship either you do or you don't and top 50 to top 100 is definitely a championship for an artist because do you know how much music you're competing with in this world like look up the number of how many people actually do it right now how many songs forget hip-hop how many songs are released every day let's just do that 100,000 songs are being uploaded to digital service providers every single day every single day so to have a track in the top 100 to top 50 is no small feat is a championship I don't think people realize that so that's why I'm comparing lot or two so obviously she's doing successful compared to the average artist i'm comparing her to the top of the top which i think lotto deserves to be in so with that being
Starting point is 00:08:16 said with this album sugar honey iced tea i'm nine i'm 90% certain it's going to be my favorite album of the year as far as hip-hop and rapping but of course if it's not you know i just come back and say it's not but i can't wait to get into it and off of the intro track in the way she was giving it up sonically melody wise lyrically uh with the delivery wise um i can't wait to get into it 21 tracks several bonus tracks um actually let me look at the runtime i think i had the runtime up here uh oh yes right here okay so the album is about an hour and two minutes long and there are how many tracks is there There's 21 tracks. So there's no bonus track.
Starting point is 00:09:05 It's just 21 tracks. Yeah, that's basically it. So the track is, what album is available out now, all DSPs, sugar honey, ice tea. Make sure click my link to my bio. Let me know one of my social medias. What do you think about this new album from Lotto? And if you've listened to it already, what is your current favorite track from the album, Sugar, Honey, Ice Tea?
