So whenever we're getting into Lego Batman, you have to think to yourself.
Shepard, just look at the state of gaming.
Like, what is going on?
Because not only do we have Marvel token coming soon,
not only do we have Captain America, who was in 1943, 1942,
well, the game with Captain American Black Panther coming soon.
Not only do we have Wolverine coming soon.
I mean, superhero fans who are also going.
gamers are eating right now so when it comes to lego batman the legacy of the dart night you know we
had to dive into the behind the scenes building the legacy because if you don't know one of my tic
talks as far as uh the clips i put up i want to see if i could bring it up the clip i had as far as uh
batman i want if it's on here let me see i was talking about batman and a lot of people was
enjoying that specific clip to the point where uh i don't know if i'd be at w tech i and bring it up
I don't think I see it right now because I don't want to spend too much time trying to find it.
But it's one of my recent clips.
I know it has to be up here somewhere.
Let me see.
Okay.
I don't think I can find it.
Oh, here we go.
Here we go.
Oh, here we go.
Okay.
Let's go bad man.
So as you can see right here, people commented and things of that nature.
This is why you should definitely follow my TikTok because I post clips like this on the daily.
So somebody was asking, how are you playing the game?
I think it's because I have the structure like this.
He thought I was playing the game.
But the whole time I was watching the game.
gameplay because if you don't know it's a 30 plus minute gameplay release as far as on their
youtube the lego batman youtube so if you want to watch that i've already broke it down in depth as far as
likeo batman analytic dreams or whatever platform you listen to podcast on but this specific
clip is from the gameplay and the voice actor could be a little better but you know for little kids
i don't think they really care that much okay yeah there's definitely gonna be a lot of
batman robin type missions because i i can already see with jim gordon as you can see the uh
the comments right here hold on let me see i can bring it so i'm still not certain if we're gonna get any like
A list sidekicks like a Superman.
I probably keep that for like D.O.C. or something.
All right.
So we're not going to play the whole thing.
But basically, just to let you know, I've been covering this.
And I think I started my coverage of this back in August 21st of this year.
So Lego Batman, Legacy of the Dark Night gameplay.
And I dive deep into that and the trailer, of course.
So now the behind the scenes is here.
And you already know, we're going to dissect this like a kilo of Miley Cyrus.
But then, you know what I'm saying?
I was like 10.
So, of course, who is?
that to start off the trailer mr james gunn himself who i think quiet as kept had the magic over at the
mcc you know that's another story for another day you guys so at that being said uh click my link
trim up oh no no um go to analytic dreams video on spotify to see the video along with the audio
because we're about to get into the video of the lego batman legacy of the dark night behind the scenes
right no something innate about batman that makes him so beloved across the
entire world, a tragic story that is being transformed into something good.
You know, I had to pause it, because of course, you know, this is a great soliloquy he's going
on, right? But the main thing I want to know is how many Batman we're going to have in the
DCU, see, so I got to be messy. You guys. See, that's the problem. Are we going with Robert
Pattinson? Are we going with some other famous actor who's taking up the Batman mantle, or
are we going to have both? Now, if we have both,
It's going to be a tricky scenario to balance the egos of both of those actors for Batman
because they're going to be like, I'm the main Batman.
Another person is going to be like, now, I'm really the main Batman.
And the whole time, he's going to be like, hold up.
James Gunn could have solved this by announcing a real Batman.
But, you know, that's just me being messy a little bit.
Or is it that Batman has attracted some of the greatest artists in all mediums,
comic books, gaming, film,
television that have told the story about this character and because of that his legend has grown
and groan. I think the answer is both. Also if you didn't know James Gunn and Big Sean are best friends.
How different creatives can do something really unique with Batman using the same building blocks.
Years ago at TT we made... He's stunning on the criminals, ain't he? That was so special for us.
But now with Lego Batman legacy of the dark night we are able to draw upon
The whole history of that wonderful character
and distilled decades of fantastic storytelling
to really immerse players in the experience
of becoming the Dark Night.
I took the liberty of making some adjustments.
The nature, the tonality of Batman changed with the times.
That's what keeps these characters interesting.
When we were looking at bringing this into one narrative,
we did a lot of research.
We've pulled in all of these references from Batman movies and TV shows.
Batman 89 the Batman the Dark Knight trilogy the animated series yeah I'm not going on looking at this right now it seems like they're putting everything that people love about Batman into this Lego video game which reminds me of the Star Wars like a Lego game where it had a lot of the past movies until one particular game I don't know if it was a Skywalker saga I think that's what it was there was like the legendary Lego run
I think it was this one Lego I mean had a lot of games for Star Wars but I think it was this one specifically
As far as all of the games into one
It's probably another one, but anyways Lego did a great job on just
Capturing the feel of why people love Star Wars so I'm very interested for this particular game even for all ages
Everybody loves Batman and I think the way they're going about it putting all the Batman lore into one video game
I think it's gonna be a classic
We read every comic
we could find.
We had access to all the DC archive,
and then putting down key, essential, iconic moments,
that was our starting point.
Everybody sees Batman in a different way.
There's Batman as the do-good,
or Batman as the Dark Knight, this creature of vengeance.
One of the many great things about Lego Batman,
Legacy of the Dark Night, is that it manifests
all these different elements of Batman
that we've loved over the years.
that people can experience this character,
maybe as fully as they ever have.
This will be late for the movie.
We start with young Bruce Wayne in the grounds of Wayne Manor,
excited to go to the movies.
They're going from ground zero.
Years later, we see him train with the League of Shadows in Nanda Parba,
and then return as a crime fighter to Gotham City,
where he builds a new family of crime fighting.
Hold up now.
Hold up now.
where he builds a new family.
Oh, this may not be a game for little Timmy's.
You guys.
See, that's the problem.
Quiet as kept.
Well, not quiet as kept.
I guess it's because it's my personal opinion.
My favorite Batman storyline, you know,
aside from the, you know, the animated show or TV movie.
No, the animated movie under the red hood.
You know, aside from that,
I think Batman, what was it, dusk?
I forget what was called.
Batman.
um i think it was dust movie i don't know if that was right movie
no i wasn't dusk what was the one with the mask
all right now now i'm definitely losing my batman card right now there's a movie
where it was like batman it was superman i could probably describe it better because i
forgot the title but anyways it's batman and him and catwoman have a whole relationship
throughout the movie and it's such a great uh storyline because superman shows up just randomly
right and there's this villain that we don't even know the actual uh the name of because it's a whole new
villain made for that specific story but then we come to realize i'm not going to spoil it but then we come to
realize something about it and um i wish i knew the name of it i think it was batman mask
wasn't it wasn't masked uh let me see animated movies let me just pull up the movies um
because yeah doom it wasn't that one hush that's what it was oh my goodness it was bad man hush
i know that's very you know that's definitely a hot take because for bad man connoisse they're like
what you like hush i was like hey that was one of my favorite animated movies and you know
know safe to say you know catwoman being in it definitely helped out because also another one of my
favorite batman uh stories is batman tell tell so incorporating catwoman in ways that makes sense i think
it's the best way because of course i believe that helps out the overall storyline because with catwoman
with batman in it you already know that type of dynamic so that was my favorite but anyways
let's keep going play of crime fighting allies this has some of the greatest supported characters of any
Batman story ever, starting with Commissioner Gordon, an undervalued Batman character, a character
I love.
Batman.
In Lego Batman, Legacy of the Dark Night, the criminals become ever more colorful and crazed.
By the coolest rugs gallery in all of fiction.
Gangs of criminals equipped.
Another thing I wonder is how long is this video game?
Because this seems like they're capturing a lot.
They need to really start to turn the tide of crime.
I think this would be at least an 80 to 100-hour game.
I need to become more than a man.
I need to become a symbol.
Especially for a completionist.
I love this combination of DC and Lego.
I like them working together.
There's something about LEGO that just opens our mind
to play and creativity and kind of our own personal artistic expression.
It has that spirit of the LEGO physical toys,
having all these different sets,
pouring them on the floor, mashing them together,
and telling your own story, like we all did as kids.
I think the creative playful nature of Lego brick
feeds into how we work here at TT,
this kind of wonderful medium part.
Okay, they're hard at work.
Hopefully there's no crunch going on.
There'd be no crunch going on.
Let them develop its work.
The longest time, there's a almost tactile feel to their games
that makes it feel just right.
Now that bad, hold up.
That Batman set you in the background was caught fire.
I need that.
I'm gonna lie to you, I need that.
That looks straight fire.
Makes it feel just right.
They were able to create the diversity, the density,
the beauty in some ways of the world of Batman
through the vocabulary of Lego bricks.
In this title more than any of our others,
we were really conscious about an engaging
and dramatic story.
Some of the best comedy sits
in those dramatic moments.
I'm crazy, man.
The comedy always drives the narrative.
It never interrupts it.
Hey, free!
What?
I love when a story defies expectation.
I love the fact that we're going into Lego Batman.
It actually has real emotion and stakes.
Lego bricks as a medium changes the lens.
It's adding a more playful aspect to it
without taking away the main story.
It's almost like a mosaic.
When you come up close to a wall, you go, that's a Lego brick.
You pull back and now you're in Gotham City, and it feels and looks like Gotham City.
For this game, we've strived to achieve a whole new level of detail.
The surface imperfections of everything has been enhanced a lot.
This will weave on the...
Okay, okay.
Yo, I love the graphics.
Hold on now.
Everything has been enhanced a lot.
They said, we're going in depth on the graphics for a Lego game.
Shepard, just look at the state of gaming.
Like, what is going on?
Who would have thought in 2025, they would care about graphical details in a Lego game?
I love to see it.
Small weave on the capes, the water droplets, how the rain runs down the characters.
You know, the rain is how you get them.
Y'all remember Spider-Man PS4? Puddle Gate.
Come on now.
You guys.
See, that's the problem.
People's out here wilding because of those graphics.
I ain't know it's so serious.
The puddles are something serious for superhero fans who are also gamers.
small detail we've pursued to make sure we're clearly visually better than what we've done before.
You're in a world of Gotham City that is more alive and rich than any environment we've ever created.
We know Gotham has had a history, so we built this layered experience.
That's what I want to know. How big is the map?
The map seems like it's going to be huge.
The city is just way beyond what we've done before.
We really wanted to make sure that players could grapple and glide around Gotham City with that same mastery that Batman has.
Straight here.
Being Batman, you get to drive the Batmobile.
Weaving in and out of traffic, hitting the booth, trying to control your speed.
In the cityscapes, there'll be these alleys and these hidden rooftops and hidden areas where
crimes will be taking place.
And it's on you to go and find those locations, discover new things and protect the city.
When we're doing the testing now, it's fantastic to hear the feedback.
Oh man, I thought it's funny to say the one.
You are coming out of the darkness and taking the baddies down.
It is incredible how immersive it feels like they've brought so many nuances and details of the world of Batman to life through this game.
That's my favorite mechanic in every stealth game right here.
It is incredible how immersive it feels like they've brought so many nuance.
Not going to lie, if I'm trying to sneak around and I don't have that mechanic right here, anxiety just through the roof.
I love this mechanic in every stealth game, just a little tip bit.
Details of the world of Batman to life through this game.
The fact that you could do it with a friend or a buddy as a dynamic duo in the same room together,
I think people are just going to be blown away.
Local co-op.
I guess they already acknowledge it, but still, it's not actually going to bring it back up.
From one generation to the next.
I mean, I'm excited about all the people that have never experienced Batman in any sort of personal way.
Being able to play this game, and now they have their own connection.
Oh, now what did this happen?
They have their own connection to the DC universe.
Part of the premise of working on Batman is to come in and do your own take.
Lego Batman, Legacy of the Dark Night, reflects that ambition.
This game is an absolute celebration of everything Batman.
A lot of people have been waiting for exactly this experience.
Batman's primal story of fear and overcoming fear has lived on for generations.
And all of us at TT are incredibly honored to now be able to contribute
to that legacy.
Batman.
He said the line.
Hey, he's slapping him.
Silly. What in the world?
Batman.
Hey, he smacked the mess out of him.
What in the world?
What he do?
Batman.
Hey, the whole time he just trying to tell him a little joky joke.
Batman just smacked the mess at him.
That's unfortunate.
Shepard.
Just look at the state of gaming.
Like, what is going on?
Oh, there you have it.
Batman Legacy of the Dark Night.
2026. Now, ladies and gentlemen, I don't want to be that guy.
I don't want to be that guy at all. But we're going to look this up right quick.
GTA 6 is set to come out on May 26, 2026. Now, we don't know. We don't know if it's going to get
pushed back. But all I got to say is, if Batman and GTA comes out in the same year,
it's going to be a sad day in history for gamers because it's going, I mean, 2025.
It's already packed. We've had Expedition 33, split fiction. I don't know if y'all count this game,
but ready and not to me is up there um the game i just finished playing hollow night silk song
what else what else is top tier there was this game called kazan i saw a little gameplay
of that that was pretty that was pretty fire but anyways there's a bunch of different games
that she's going crazy in 2025 to the point where it's been pretty stacked you know a lot of people
would say they're trying to get out the way of the gtas six release date but obviously not batman
because at the end of the day you know Batman still Batman now gtac six may sell way more but you know
Batman if it comes out around that time, which I don't think it will.
But it'd be interesting to see if GTA6 and Batman takes over the gaming universe in 2026.
So anyways, with that being said, click my link to your in my bio.
Let me know on one of my social medias.
What do you think about the Lego Batman legacy of the dark night behind the scenes trailer and at the video?
And at the end of the day, what stood out to you the most?
