Now, when it comes to Dominique Armani Jones, also known as Little Baby, there's particular covers of this game that just do not like his music no matter what the quality level is. Now, if you don't know, Dead Fresh literally just released July 17th of this particular year, so it debuting that high as far as the 22nd most played track in the world, whilst it's very impressive. Of course, when it comes to the longevity of hip hop on the charts, it's not having the greatest longevity in the year of 2026. It's really only two artists I could think of in hip hop that's having great longevity with their projects. One is the goat, of course. Is it okay? I got my dope on me. And then the other one is Don Tolliver. As when you look at the genres that we're competing

against as far as hip hop, Drake is of course the leading person, which it should have been future, but you know, that's a whole other discussion. In future second week, he has 45, he sold 45,000, Drake sold 55,000, what, his 20th week? I mean, who keeping? count, you know what I'm saying? All right, my fault, that's enough glaze. But then you keep going down and, you know, shout out to Michael Jackson Thurler being the ninth most play track in the world. And of course, Michael Jackson number one is being the 13th most play track in the album in the world. And then of course, you have the other newer hip-hop artists.

I know that ain't who I think of it is. And the reason why I say newer is because Don Tolliver at this point is not a legacy act. I believe he's one of the hottest up-and-coming rappers in hip-hop as his album is still the 21st most played album in the world. And at first glance, you'll probably be thinking to yourself. Is that even a big accomplishment? When you look at the amount or really the lack of hip-hop artists having albums in the top 50, that's a phenomenal feat.

As Don Tolliver in his like 20th, 30th week is still one of the most played albums in the world. Of course, then you have Drake. And the longevity of Jay Cole's album, a futures album, is very much. disappointing for the overall genre of hip hop especially when we're competing with other genres now why do i say that is because dominique also known as little baby but dead fresh i believe the track is pretty solid i don't think it's bad i don't think it's amazing i think what feral is doing as far as the last three years is a master class on how to put out phenomenal production with whoever he produces for especially when it comes to switching up to genre

as far as Molly Cyrus with the Doctor Work It Out track The Weekend Playboy Cardi with the timeless track Of course, Can't Forget the clips With Let God Swet Them Out, which is one of the best lyrical masterclasses I've ever heard on one project And then when you look at

Ti with, I think it was Let Them Know, I believe Farrell also produced that. So when it comes to, oh, also can't forget A. Sab Rocky and his you know, some of the contributions that Farrell had for ASAP Rocky. So the reason why I bring that up is because this is the first time ever

Little Baby and Farrell have collaborated. And for this to be the success off of that particular track with their first ever collaborations, I would, if you were a little baby, I would just assume that a lot more Farrell and Little Baby collaborations are coming in the near future.

but then you know what i'm saying i was like damn look at the state of hip hop like what's going on because this single serves as the lead single yeah this serves as the least single for little baby's upcoming album titled dominique now when is dominique coming out uh the world may never know as i believe there's no actual release date when you go to his dsp all you see is dead fresh you don't see the actual album so and we may be a while it may be a while before he actually puts out the album dominique but right now he could definitely ride the wave of Dead Fresh. debuting with his single Dead Fresh, he went to Instagram and said, I'ma keep on grinding, keep on shining. That's what they can't stand. I know that's right. You know what I'm saying? But the bigger, the bigger picture, that particular track from Little Baby showcases his ability to make such a lyrical, heavy track and also make it replayable to the point where that was the anthem, whilst we just going through the whole George Floyd situation and just the overall racism battle for the black community, right?

Did side seven do that? Of course not. Little baby did. All the comparisons in the world. Everything was going for, everything was going in little baby's favor. And then what happened? He came out, gave a public statement, literally, and said, don't expect more tracks like the bigger picture.

It was good for his time, but don't expect that anymore. Basically, he got a head, like, this is how you have to look at that particular track. I'm not going to say he could have went into Kendrick Lane but that particular track set him as one of the most influential hip hop rappers at the time in 2020. Mind you, 2020 is when he had his most

successful album as far as my turn selling a, no, no, as far as it's only me selling $216,000 first week. Wasn't that the, trying to make sure it's the right one? So yeah, my turn, 2020. So it's only me.

Let me see, it's only me maybe came after. after that. So I think it capitalized off of my turn. So when it's only me came out. Let me see, it's only me that came out 2022. Yeah, okay, so that was a first solo album from little baby after my turn. And I think when it comes to selling projects, usually the album before it sells the next one because now everybody's anticipating what you're going to say on the whole body of work after giving us the bigger picture, right? So once COVID went to the side and he put out his next solo album, it's only me. It sold 216,000 first week. Now, did people

like the album um i'm gonna let the little baby fans answer that but when it comes to my personal favorite little baby album is definitely the my turn album in 2020 which i i compare it to the lebron lakers because when they won the championship remember they couldn't go on no celebratory tour no none of that as far as in l a because we was in covid times it's the same thing with little baby i think he was at the heights of his career and because granted 2020 is still we're still dealing with COVID right, he could not celebrate his prime like other musicians because his prime happened when nobody could go outside. But then, you know what I'm saying? I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop.

Like, what's going on? And of course, he's still reaping the benefits of it monetarily, which is why you see this type of posts on his IG account. But I just wanted to put it in perspective on why people may be saying that little baby fell off. And I don't think that has any credence. I just believe it's a much tougher field for hip hop in general, which is why it started off with covering the hip-hop artist who's notoriously affected the masses with their albums

because the singles is one thing albums is completely different when it comes to albums, pop, R&B, even K-pop, I think BTS is still, yeah, BTS R-RBring is still the eighth most play project in the world.

Even K-pop is having longevity. No, because that's just BTS. I don't think there's any other K-pop artists on here. Yeah, that's just BTS. So when it comes to pop and country, usually hip-hop is battling it out with them in the top 50.

Right now, they're just putting BT on us. I mean, there's no other way to put it. So when it comes to Little Baby's single, Dead Fresh, to bring it back full circle, I believe this particular track could be a way to make a pivot so Little Baby could be the next person alongside Drake and Don Tolliver to put off a hip-hop when it comes to competing

with these other genres. Because over here at notorious Mass Effect, covering the gaming and music IPs that notoriously affect the masses, I get a clearer depiction of what the field looks like, especially when you look at K-pop, when you look at country, pop, when you look at EDM, all these other genres. Hip-hop is doing well. It could be doing better as far as we are usually,

So now that little baby is coming for, or that type of subject matter, I feel like it's very interesting in general.

But as of right now, it's working. So hey, you know what I'm saying? Might as well keep doing it, you know what I mean? And we beat these folks. We beat them. We go forward. As once again, as far as future chart predictions slated for August 1st,

Little Baby's track, Dead Fresh. She's set to be the 22nd most played track in the world. Right now is doing fantastic. As far as streaming, Little Baby's First, Apple Music Number 1, since January 2025. And when you look at it charting, it reached the global Apple music top three shortly after release, the eighth rap song of 2026 to reach number one on that US Apple's music. Basically, Little Baby is putting off a hip hop once again. And I believe with this particular track, he could catapult a whole new project because, of course, he already announced Dominique.

But we still don't know what's coming out. But as of right now, I think this is a phenomenal. this is a phenomenal outcome for his latest single, right? And as of right now, we still don't know how he's going to capitalize off of it, but I'm hoping for an album and then a tour. But we're going to see.
