David Andrew Bird, American rapper, comedian, and actor. Man, that sound like one of them hosts on a late-night talk show, don't I? Anyways, so basically, that's who we're covering today, as this track, Ha-ha, which is track fourth off of the Dave soundtrack, is the single that Little Dickie and his team chose to put out on display for the masses. Because if you don't know, there's a particular playlist, I don't know if it's the biggest playlist and music but basically there's this playlist on spotify which if you go to it click the search button you know we could do this together go to new releases and click new music friday every

artist is trying to get on the top of that list if you want to know who spent money or who has the power in the music industry try to look at that list in the top five so with that being said usually that's like agents um major labels playing um trying to get their artists towards the top of that new music list because if you don't know, we're on the age where everybody picks up something and then drops it immediately. Like the attention span is shot to, you know what. So when it comes to captivating the masses and keeping their attention, they try to go where the people reside. And that is the new music playlist, especially on Spotify, which I think is the biggest as far as music and totality. As far as rap, I think rap caviar is the biggest when it comes to hip hop. So

why am I saying all that? Well, ha, ha, ha, it's off of obviously the album, but I'm trying to find it. You have to scroll a little bit to get to that track on New Music Friday, which is pretty surprising seeing that little Dicky, I would think, still has certain ties

as he has a whole TV show, and it's successful. So whenever I see it that low, I mean, obviously it's not lower compared to some people. Like, some people are even on the list. But when it comes to, like, not even getting the top five spot is kind of interesting because he hasn't put out an album in five years um not five like nine years i believe so why am i saying all that well i think

the reason for this is him having most of his masters with his dirty bird corporation and only giving exclusive license to commission music slash bmg rights management basically i'm thinking that little dicky has a certain deal to where he owns if not all majority of the rights when it comes to his music so I don't think little dicky is any is in any type of 360 deal which I'm guesstimating at this point I think will lead to major labels not really trying to push the button when it comes to marketing because will they see that return on investment I think not if somebody comes to the table and you can't not even finesse them. If you can't leverage your platform because they already have not an equal platform, but a bigger platform

than most of the artists you're finessing, then you'll probably end up not doing business with them because music industry is sort of like a gamble. You put your advance, which major labels do, for most artists, and then at the end of the day, that one artist who blows up pays for the other nine.

So it's been said multiple times. I think Carl Cherry said that once. I know I heard academics say it also. Basically, in the music industry, that's how it works. It's always a gamble because if you don't know, you probably do know how many people is out here trying to make music. I mean, I bet you have a close friend that's out here trying to rap, sing, do something. So anyways, that was a side tangent.

So I say all that to say this. Ha, ha, ha, being the single for the playlist, which is new music, one of the biggest playlist and music industry. I think it's a mistake. I listen to the track and it's fine, but as far as the entire soundtrack, I think Little Dickie could have went with something better. I think he could have went with Burst or Harrison Ave

to try to get people to understand that he's coming at it from a conceptual standpoint. But when you put ha, ha, ha, and people already think you're making a mockery of hip-hop combined with the fact that you're white in hip-hop, I think it's not a, it's not a, a good decision. So plainly, plain and simple, I just don't think it's a good decision.

So I would have chose either Burst or Harrison Ave, because both of those I really enjoy. What else? Or jail, but that's probably too long. So yeah, probably Burst or Harrison Ave. Because I've listened to the entire project. It's pretty solid. So, I mean, obviously, it's not like my entire review, but you can't what I'm saying. So anyways, that was my coverage of track four off of the Dave Sounding.
