You know, one of the best tracks I've ever heard in hip hop came from the likes of Mr. Bird,
which if you don't know, first name Andrew, well, middle names Andrew.
First name is David, aka Little Dickie, who we're covering today.
As his specific track, second coming, track 8 on P.Neth, I don't know why, but it made me just reflect back to the times when I think he made better music.
It may seem like a slight, but if you listen to professional rapper and you listen to the Dave soundtrack, obviously just a little change of focus when it comes to what he's trying to accomplish.
I think professional rapper was more of him trying to be respected as a rapper with a little bit of comedic elements.
This soundtrack is completely unsurious.
Definitely going for a comedic album.
like i wouldn't be surprised if they label this a comedy album the way that just some hip-hop formulas
and formulaic flows aren't even followed and that's not even a bad thing but once you go when you go on a
flow that's like particularly like bad it's not as appealing i would say so that's why i reminisced on
the 2014 track saved that money with fettie wop and rich homie kwan because obviously that track went
double platinum obviously little dicky has had success in the past with freaky friday being number
one but after listening because i've listened to the entire album but second coming is you know once
you're eight tracks in you could kind of get a feel on how the album's about to go i was like this is not
really going to be the album i was looking for there wasn't a rap album from little dicky it was literally
just a comedic soundtrack for his show dave which is why i think he literally put in parentheses the dave
soundtrack because if you think about it he told everybody he's making an album to put out for his fans we're
thinking he's actually making music this man just made a soundtrack full filled with comedic bits and
above average lyrics because i would say i will say the best part of the soundtrack is his
lyrical ability just being very above part like above average i don't even know what above part
is um is that golf anyways um little dicky having so much success on the billboard charts i would think
would actually put out more of an effort to put a concise body of work with him just giving bars but also
following the 808s and the hip hop formula of certain beats like maybe you grab a take keith maybe
you grab a um a hip boy like the way that he went is why why he's why he's why he's why he's why he's why
I think the hip hop culture isn't covering this like I am and I would say I'm part of it well I am part of
the hip hop culture at this point but you not trying to align yourself for certain production
when it comes to the hip hop culture I think makes it seem like you could care less about the
opinion so granted maybe they are fair and not even covering you at all so I'll be
interested to see if any of the hip hop talking heads actually covers this uh project
besides talking about the show because me i've always been a little dicky fan so paus but i wanted to
cover it and wanted to uh give it what it deserve as far as a body of work because i do believe
little uh dave a k a little dicky is one of the more talented people i've ever seen in the hip hop space
So if you've never watched the show Dave,
then you probably wouldn't get that.
If you've never watched the show Dave,
and you've never listened to a professional rapper
and Westbrook on a farm,
specifically the track,
I don't know if you would get what I just said
because obviously it's not the most complex thing in the world.
But for somebody who never even consume that content,
they would think what I'm saying right now
about Little Dickie being one of the more intelligent
and creative people I've ever seen in the industry.
they would think that's blasphemous.
So, or blasphemy to quote my man, Stephen A. Smith.
So anyways, click my link to me my bio.
Let me know one of my social medias.
What do you think about Little Dickie in this particular soundtrack?
And more specifically, what do you think about track 8 second coming?
And also, what is your favorite track currently off of the soundtrack?
