So for those who haven't heard, Little Dirk is coming out with a deluxe for Almost Healed,
and he's put out a track titled, this is a PG podcast, by the way.
So I'm just going to say, you thought.
That's what, that's why I'm going to title this track.
You know, of course, it's an expeditive in front of you thought.
But because of this being a PG podcast, we just going to leave it at that.
So with this new track title, You Thought, I had to go back to Memory Lane with Little
Dirk and kind of just talk about his career projectory as an artist.
Because a lot of people love to say that, you know, Chief.
Keith, they give his flowers and stuff, which, you know, he's definitely due his flowers for the
drill movement. But at the end of the day, I feel like longevity has to account for something.
And maybe I'm ignorant to the whole drill scene, but I believe Little Dirk probably has had
some of the best longevity out of the Chicago drill scene. I know a lot of people may say
little G. Herbo, but he's currently locked up. So I would say it's,
far as longevity little dirk has it but obviously i'm open to be it wrong but at the end of the day
that's what i'm looking at as a look at his uh sales over his career it took him a while i mean
almost a decade for putting out his first album in uh what was it 2015 let me make sure i think it's
called like remember that let me see let me go back to uh let me go back to his IG post but anyways um
his first album
Little Dirk
Yeah his first album was in
20
Goodness he has a lot of albums
Ain't no way
This can't be all his albums
Who made this man
Why does man make so much music
Now this is ridiculous
This is ridiculous
Well his first single came out
2012 so there you have that
And then as far as
As far as albums
If you can even get to it
This is like
2012
so he started making music in 2012 so a whole decade later he just started to break his uh plateau as a popular artist
because of course he had what else he had the voice which i don't really count that because i was with
a little baby and that was in uh what 2020 let me see 7220 is the one i think that did it for him that was
120 000 uh first week and the number one album and then almost healed
came out at $124,000,
which was, it was beat out by Morgan Wallen,
which that was pretty solid numbers
that Little Dirk put up.
If you don't know,
Morgan Wallin and Taylor Swift
has been running the charts for the past,
like, well, basically this whole year.
So country artists basically got it wrapped up this year.
There's a reason why Drake pushes the album back,
especially when he was about to drop
the week of Taylor Swift dropping.
So anyways,
little dirk's career trajectory is only getting larger he's only getting more exposure he has a whole
positive vibe track with j cole titled all my life that's still to this day being played on radio and
still like top 10 as far as most stream tracks in the world so little dirk for me is who i look at
when i think of chicago drill obviously a lot of people give the flowers to chief keef the only reason
but the reason shameless plug that this conversation even came up is because
I covered Chief.
Just look up Chief Keith, Drake, notorious mass effect.
It should pop up.
But basically, I talked about Chief Keith, the perception of people thinking Chief Keith is more influential than Drake.
Kind of broke that down and compared him to artists in his own field, like a Little Dirk or a G Herbo.
And for me, I don't know if it's ignorance, but I just believe that Little Dirk, longevity-wise, has just had a way better, a much better career and even impact.
But hey, I'm open to be wrong, of course, but that's just my sentiment.
So anyways, click my link tree on my bio.
Let me know one of my social medias.
What do you think about Little Dirk dropping this new track called You Thought?
And if you follow my analytic dreams video version, you can tell what expeditive I left out.
But let's just say I left it out for a reason.
And will you be giving this track a listen?
