Now, first I got to start off by saying I appreciate everybody who enjoyed the dark thoughts review that I had for Little Teca because of course when it comes to the podcast, Notorious Mass Effect and I start breaking down their favorite musicians and they start to realize, hey, this man is the actual fan of my favorite artist to the point where they support in droves and this is no different as the Letta fans very much appreciate the way I'm breaking down his specific musical releases. Because I believe.
leave the fire and of course when it comes to the billboard charts i always say just because you don't
sell the most does not mean you're not making high quality and just because you're selling the most
does not mean that was the same thing you know you're not making the top tier quality but if you're
not selling at all does not mean that you're making straight up garbage music the two don't correlate
so whenever i get into little teca talk about quality from the standpoint of i don't know how much he'll
sell but dark thoughts is a banger and then it turns into what it
is now as far as it being one of the most popular tracks in the world to the point where
currently is the 56 most play track in the world been on the charts for about 11 weeks so
someone would say that's definitely a hit so with that being said now let's transition into a
second single for his upcoming album that's seemingly going to be titled dopamine and the reason
why i say seemingly is because he said dopamine a dopamine the album win and he posted this on his
Instagram account 14 hours ago to the point where I'm probably going to say his last or his next
album his upcoming album is going to be titled dope with me so the reason why I say that is because
a lot of people was thinking that the follow up for his album was going to be titled um plan B now of course
that was fans that I don't think was as in tune because of course that's not at all what the title is
It's literally titled Dopamine.
I think that was just going off his 2024 release as far as plan A.
But naming an album, plan B as a rapper, let's just say, cancel culture is waiting for you, my brother.
So with that being said, Loteca dropped a second single title, Oa Oa, for his upcoming album, Dopamine.
And this next comparison I'm about to make is definitely going to have Little Teca fans uncomfortable because of the simple fact that we're
we have to get into why do you do artists use samples because ladies and gentlemen
whenever you listen to a track and you already hear something that's been stamped by the masses
as far as quality level right whether it's nostalgia whether the creative standpoint that you
came from is already known by the masses there's a lot of reasons people use samples in their
music whether it's cultural relevance especially not to mention the commercial boosts whether it's
radio airplay or whether it's uh tic talk dances because everybody loves dancing the things that's already
popular right and to play devil's advocate they could just simply be paying homage now why am i bringing
it up why am i bringing that up when talking about the track oha oh about little teka the second single
for his upcoming album dopamine it's for the simple fact that another artist that i pointed this out with
I had to keep the same energy as if I'm going to point this out for one artist, I have to point this out for the other.
As I keep it more than eight, I keep it eight more than 92 and this is no different.
As when I called out Jack Harlow for back to back years having singles that had notorious samples,
whether it was first class that was released 2022 that used the glamorous track by Fergie, right?
That was already a monumental hit.
It was used a lot in the track first class.
Just put it like that.
And then Lovin on me use the popular track whatever by Cadillac.
Now combine those two.
Now you have two singles that's running up on the charts or rising on the charts.
And some would say it's because of the popular sample used.
That's basically what was my argument for describing the.
track by jack harlowe because i was breaking it down as it was a quality level track but i did believe
that the samples being continuously used in the track helped a lot for the replayability and you know
with that being said i wondered what it would look like if you stood on his own without a sample
and then we all know how his album turned out as far as jack carlo and the all white album i forget
what it was called uh to come home the kids miss you we all know
how that album turned out back in 2022 so i bring up the same sentiment little teca has just dropped his first
single sampling fly by lucas scarf which is a play off of the beat from feral williams because obviously
it's primarily sample from scarf's work but people also known it as inspiration from the
feral williams and j z's fron track back in 2003 so that's one popular sample that's that's a
currently the 56 most play track in the world and as far as chart data projected for June 14th
is slated to be the 54th most play track in the world so not so it's not even slated to slide it's
slated to rise in popularity now we have his second single that's using a sample from video killed
the radio star by the bugles man took it back to 1980s i just know they was using the hard art back then
So that being said, Lil Teca has two singles that's currently on the charts, well, officially speaking, DART thoughts is on the charts as far as chart projections slated for June 14th.
Owa Oa is said to be the 51st most played track in the world. So with that being said, the main sentiment I have is still the same that I use for Jack Harlow, the Great White Hope of hip hop.
Little Teca is using popular samples to the point where the quality level,
is irrefutable we can't talk about the quality level because I believe what
little tech is doing from a melodic standpoint is showcasing why he's been around for so
long because he does make high quality music in my opinion but as far as the
samples being used continuously throughout the track I don't know how that was
shape up as far as his final project when he and when he eventually releases
dopamine so that's the biggest thing I wanted to bring up while also letting you
know that I enjoy both tracks. So don't little tech of fans don't kill me. I enjoy both tracks.
I just want to know if he'll put out the same quality level if he doesn't have a popular sample
continuously throughout the track because we've seen history before as well we've seen history as
far as Jack Harlow and him being an artist using a continuous sample throughout his single.
And we think his album is going to be some um,
something of classic material or just high quality as far as a project and the project comes out and you've seen how come home to kids you missed you turned out so hopefully it's not the case for Loteca I don't think it will be but just letting you know that I've seen this pattern before and hopefully it's not the same uh exact pathway so with that being said Owa Oa dark thoughts both singles for his upcoming album dopamine we don't have a release date but with these tracks going crazy I'm pretty sure
he's going to just continuously ride off the marketing strategies for these particular tracks since
they're already gaining authentic traction and then at some point he'll probably put out the album but
with these two tracks doing phenomenal on the charts he's probably in no rush to put out dopamine so
with that being said click my link tree in my bio let me know one of my social medias what do you
think about little teka and his single dark thoughts in oa oa and what do you think about
artists continuously using samples in their track.
