Starting point is 00:00:00 Now, I'm not to type to equate sales to quality, but I think it's very important as a major label musician to put out music that's sellable and accepted by the masses. Because being a part of Universal Music Group, which Liliteka is, under Republic Records, a division of Universal Music Group recordings, it's very important that you sell a product. And this particular marketing strategy that he's using is very, very interesting. If you don't know, Doja Cat just dropped Scarlet. So that's number one's already locked up as far as first week's sales. Now, Taka's album isn't as hyped up because of projections and the hope that it would go number
Starting point is 00:00:50 one is simply not there because he's dropping with a much bigger artist. So everybody's going to be like, well, of course he went number two. It was to Dojicat. but he's done this trick more than once if you would follow me um shameless play the analytic dreams video podcast on my Spotify channel to watch the video element along with the audio but basically if you look with me right here and basically is this is actual account
Starting point is 00:01:15 this is little teka and this just says techer out now tech i'm like bro what type of marketing like what is this is this his PR this can't be little tecker like that man has to be out partying somewhere because there's no way that this man just tweet out tech out now like great job promoting your album buddy but anyways uh this marketing strategy has been employed more than once implemented more than once as in 2021 he released his album on the same day as donda which of course sold 327 000 first week now i'm not saying dojicat scarlet is going to sell that much but i wouldn't be surprised doji cat does currently have has like one of the most successful singles in 2023 with Paints of Town Red. So I wouldn't be
Starting point is 00:02:01 interested. I wouldn't be surprised or straight up just blindsided to see Doja Cat sell over 300,000 first week. But Lotech is doing this on purpose to basically not have the blowback be as bad because somebody could easily say, well, he dropped when Doja Cat dropped. So of course not many people are going to listen to his album but he did it more more than once which makes me which leads me to believe that he is that he is purposely doing this because if you don't know Drake was also supposed to release on this day but he pushed it back because of course you don't want to battle doja cat and they end up looting and not having the number one first week which could have ended up happening because dojicat is really putting up numbers right now with
Starting point is 00:02:52 her whole devil campaign uh campaign it's it's funny how you start worshiping the devil and you start putting up the biggest numbers ever like talk about giving you a soul to satan so anyways um little teca i want to focus on the quality because i actually like little teca's music so i had to get the sales out of the way because i had to be fair of course i talk about sales with every other artist as you can see with his previous two albums which he doesn't have too many uh body of work i mean he has we love you teca too and he has vergo world and i mean he also has we love you teca in 2019 but i don't know what the first week sales was for that basically vergo will in 2020 as you can see right here sold around 35 000 first week and then uh we love you teca too sold around 30 000
Starting point is 00:03:37 first week and i believe it sold even even less like little teca does not sell as much as some people may think or hope but that is okay because it's like the little tj effect little tj's album i really enjoyed but the first week sales for little tj is not even recorded like it's It's something that's, is, I can't even fathom how he sold, so, like, how, how low his sales was, I can't even fathom, honestly. I'm thinking it would be the same case for Loteca. I'm going to the album. Obviously, it's me projecting, I haven't heard of yet. But Luteca consistently puts out quality music in my opinion.
Starting point is 00:04:23 So I'm going to listen to the album. I personally believe I'm going to enjoy it. but the sales are not going to reflect the quality. And hopefully it does. I'm not saying I'm not just counting him out. But it just seems like he's following a trend of trying to have the bigger artist overshadow his numbers so people don't focus on it as much. And they just focus on dojocat selling, you know, like $200,000 first week, right?
Starting point is 00:04:45 So I'm going to listen to the album. It's not going to sell well. But it's going to be a great to good body of work. That is my projection of what I'm going to get from this. as he just put our new album titled Tech, and he planned for it to be a summer release. So don't be surprised when you go into it and hear a bunch of lively beats along with tempos
Starting point is 00:05:09 that are usually suitable for summer vacations, summer outings, and basically being outside, right? Because in the fall, going into winter, is basically going to be a lot of indoor activity. Let's just put it at that. So, well, Little Tech, releasing this album it's going to have a lot of summer type anthems on it and i do say anthems because i believe little tecker consistently puts out quality music even though his sales isn't
Starting point is 00:05:36 reflected but i'm not going to be the dead horse and the first three singles released ahead of this album was need me 500 pounds in heaven on earth which were all fire notable singles like blessings trisha and faster would not be on that album but of course as you see right here he has a feature from the one the only codec black which we already heard that track but that track was um ken carson i don't know if you heard that track yet oh yeah i think that i don't think we've heard that track yet but basically 16 tracks little teca it's not really too much you get into um i think i've said everything i wanted to say about the album really anticipating listening to this album and just thoroughly enjoying it because i really do like listening to uh his creative process just
Starting point is 00:06:28 just like I like listening to a little tj and the reason why i'm comparing the two because i believe that these are the two notable acts that showcases putting out quality music doesn't always lead to a surplus in sales and that's an unfortunate fact but it's a reality so anyways click my link to in my bio let me know one of my social medias are you going to be listening to little techa's new album out now on all dsp's title tech and if you've already listened to the album what is your favorite track off of the album
