Starting point is 00:00:03 Now, of course, when you think of marketing strategies, of course, with Little Wayne, a lot of people thought it was non-existent because of the lack of publicity before the Carter Six came out. But then you come to realize that not only is Little Wayne having a pretty solid outing, especially with him technically being a legacy act, but also when it comes to the addition of Onika Tanya Mirage, as far as the band from new Orleans remix i think this is a is coming together to make this a great entry into the carter series as far as objectively speaking because 35 000 copies sold as far as physical
Starting point is 00:00:49 right then you have overall 110 000 first week as far as it also adding the streams to units and when it comes to streams the units just know it changes it every now and then but it's usually 1400 to 1500 as far as how many streams you need to equivalent to have one equivalent unit uh so when it has 110 000 first week just know that's what's adding all the streams into the 35 000 pure sales so hopefully it's not confusing but at the end of day the reason why we're covering this again is because of course little wayne's the most influential artists the most influential rapper of all time so with that being stated i think the marketing rollout after the fact has been tremendous like before i'm not going to lie it was a little iffy like
Starting point is 00:01:40 even me i was thinking to myself why would they release a whole fake track list and then it clicked to my brain that people love false and fake news people love fake news out here so analytic dreams video on spot to see the video along with the audio but everybody knows that they was looking forward to Drake on this album. Now, of course, people are going to say, oh, you're just being a Drake stand, right? Until you realize that this post not only had 188,000 impressions, but this was one of the lesser engaged fake tracklist. And people were posting this left and right acting like this was the official track list for Little Wayne, right? And to the point where I was looking at this and, you know, the last song saying Wayne quit is interesting because it seems.
Starting point is 00:02:27 like Wayne would never quit. It seems like whatever deal that he's in, I know that pushy tea always talked about little Wayne as far as, you know, his bars towards Lil Wayne saying, I know the platinum or double platinum rapper that can't retire. And of course, everybody attributed to Lil Wayne because of course the whole Birdman kerfuffle that went on. But at the end of the day, Little Wayne is selling a lot. We don't know what his deal is looking like, but nobody's ever thinking in their right mind that. little Wayne is broke right so for Wayne to quit and that be the end of the card of six album that didn't make too much sense to me now I did believe that uh Drake and Nikki would be on the
Starting point is 00:03:10 album but as you've seen with the fake track listing it drummed up a lot of engagement to the point where a lot of people were tuned in when the album released ultimately that was a little disappointed because Drake and Nikki wasn't on it and then they started to hear a lot of elephant sounds and then they started thinking to themselves but then you know what I was like 10 look at the state of hip-hop Like what's going on? So at the end of the day, the rollout for the car to six after the fact, and even a little bit before, was tremendous. But before, I'm not going to lie to you, it was looking abysmal to the point where none
Starting point is 00:03:40 of the tracks from the car to six, well, not none of them, but all of them except for one is not charting except for one. All of the tracks are not charting except for one. Which one is that as far as the most popular track off the album, objectively speaking? As far as chart data set for June 21st, hip-hop. pop, the track with Big X the Plug featuring Jay Jones is set to be the 26 most play track in the world and that's the future chart projections for this album. So shout out the Big X the Plug for having the most popular track on a Little Wayne album because that's a big
Starting point is 00:04:12 accomplishment. You could definitely do a lot with that as far as your next deal being considered because if you don't know, Big X the plug is also one of the more popular up-and-coming rappers, especially with his track all the way with Bailey Zimmerman currently being the 18th most play track in the world and it's been on the charts for nine weeks so that's a bona fide hit right then you have the largest which is from big x the plug solely and that's the 96 most play track in the world but it did peak at 71 and it has been on the charts for 19 weeks so if you think about it big x the plug is the most popular newer rapper in the game currently i know that may seem like an ESPN type step but if you look at the charts are you going to see is drake and kendrick that's it at least last year we had sexy red glowrilla
Starting point is 00:04:56 And even Ice Spice was making her name into the top 100 at certain points. Nowadays, it's just Drake and Kendrick. That's literally it. So, little Wayne should be making his appearance on the charts with the track hip hop with Big Exa Plug. And you're probably thinking to yourself, I've never seen you really talk about, or I never heard you talk about Big Exa Plug. It's literally because his album that's currently the 20th most played album in the world is title, Take Care. Now, I don't know about Joe, but there's certain unwritten rules.
Starting point is 00:05:26 in hip hop that I think we need to have. Sort of like sports, when somebody, jersey gets retired, nobody else should wear that jersey, right? In hip hop, if you're in hip hop, if you're a rapper, now if you was a country artist and he was making a rendition or something like that, then I guess we'll maybe let it slide.
Starting point is 00:05:43 But if you're in hip hop and you're a rapper, naming your album The Blueprint, naming your album, uh, graduation, name your album, take care. Just know. As far as for me,
Starting point is 00:05:56 Personally, I'm not covering that because I take that as blatant disrespect. I'm not going to lie to you. So having your album title, Take Care When You're a Rapper, I think that's very disrespectful. But y'all let me know. Maybe I'm just tripping. You know what I mean? I am a Drake fan at the end of day. So maybe I'm a little bit more inclined to not like the album title opposed to the other consumers out there.
Starting point is 00:06:17 But anyways, this whole segment was just to let y'all know that the fake track listing did everything that they needed to do for Little Wayne and had people tune in at the beginning. And of course, the elephant noises had people tune in, even if it wasn't for the right reason, people was tuned in. And it seemed like it's going to be a great outing, especially for Little Wayne selling 110,000 units first week, which is definitely a phenomenal accomplishment. And we shouldn't compare it to the past Carter series
Starting point is 00:06:44 because it's just not the same Little Wayne as far as the Carter 1, 2, and 3. But as far as in the current modern landscape of hip-hop, the carter six objectively speaking is definitely set to be a phenomenal outing for little way and it will become his 13th top 10 album of his career so that being said click my link to your bio let me know one of my social medias what do you think about little wayne in his latest album the carter six and if you've listened to the album what is your favorite track off of it and also were you disappointed at drake and nicky up to this point because nicky's on a remix for band from new orleans but were you disappointed at drake and nicky and nicky's wasn't on the album when they initially released.
