Man, shout out Lincoln Park for being able to work technology.
Because in all my years, I mean decades.
Actually, I'm lying.
All of my four years of podcasting, I've never seen an artist put an upcoming album release on a DSP.
Now, of course, you have pre-orders as far as buying it on Apple Music and things of that nature.
But as far as specifically Spotify, if you go to Lincoln Park, they have from zero, which is an upcoming album set to be released November 15th, 2024.
And to go even further, they even have a countdown, 48 days, 7 hours, 21 minutes, and of course the seconds is ticking away.
So in all my four years of covering artists across all genres, that's the first time ever seeing that.
So shout out to them or whoever manages them because I don't know why that was so surprising to me,
but just seeing that was interesting because I'm like, why doesn't every artist do this on Spotify?
But that's besides the point.
Lincoln Park has a specific track titled The Emptiness Machine, which is currently the 42nd most place.
track in the world but when it comes to the reports for September 28th 2024 mind you this is
certified by Billboard global 200 predictions they are set to have the seventh most played track in the
world now why am i saying this is because a single for an album that's coming out in November already being the
seventh most played track in the world when the band was mostly inactive for the most part because
of Chester Bennington's death back in 2017 and for their comeback single the emptiness machine
to make a huge splash on the charts as far as being number one on six specific billboard charts
when it comes to hard rock streaming rock and alternative rock digital alternative digital
hard rock digital hot hard rock i mean you probably get it right people are playing this track in droves and not only that
they are also going on tour so along with the release of along with the upcoming release of their album zero
set for november 15th 2024 they're also going on tour and they added tour dates in paris dallas and
Sao Paulo. How you say that? Hold up.
Sal Paolo.
Okay.
Sal Paolo.
Sounds legit.
But anyways, so they're going on tour, obviously.
And that is what I wanted to focus on because now the current band lineup is Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Dave Phoenix, Farrell, Joe Hahn, Emily Armstrong, which is the new Co-front.
woman and then last but definitely not least calling britton so when it comes to the emptiness machine
and the heaviest the crown being the official anthem which is another single heavy as the
crown being the official anthem of the twenty twenty four league of legends world championship as a
gaming connoisseur myself and what this whole podcast is based off of of covering music and gaming in one
space, that type of cross collaboration warms my heart.
Because if there's one thing that the masses don't realize is that gaming and music correlates
more than people realize.
I mean, how do you think some of these iconic games come about when it is remembered
for the soundtrack?
As a host of a podcast using the notorious B-I-G hypnotized and,
instrumental and then using mass effects instrumental which I totally forgot what it was called I think it was virgil's groove I forget what it was called it was Virgil something as far as the mass effect soundtrack well I don't know how in the world I forgot my intro soundtrack but it's all my playlist you know shameless plug link tree in my bio you can see what I'm listening to and then I have my soundtracks feel with like iconic hip hop instrumentals and iconic gaming songs as far as soundtracks and when they blend together notoriously when MJ
made a majority of the Sonic soundtrack back in the day.
That was one of the more popular cross-collaborative efforts as far as a mainstream
video game character and a mainstream just music icon.
So with that being said, the reason why I'm even focusing on this is because, of course,
the hiatus that they went on as far as them not putting out music was due to Chester
Bennington's death back in 2017 just to reiterate why they've been on such a long hiatus.
But talk about making the splash.
I mean, coming back and they're making a track that the whole world is listening to to the point where it's number seventh on the billboards and is topping the rock and alternative charts.
I mean, it's a testament in the self.
Some of the other things as far as the release, I mean, Lincoln Park has engaged with fans through social media like every other artist.
But more importantly, they're showing behind the scenes content to give you more of a in-depth look on what they're up to currently with, you know,
following their hiatus.
And as far as the public perception,
a lot of people have been loving the emptiness and machine
and have been saying that it's reignite the excitement
when it comes to the overall band.
Because it's not just a song,
but it's a cultural event for the Lincoln Park fans
simply for the fact that they've been gone for so long.
And now that they've put out a track
that's inevitably going to pull in way more fans
simply for the fact that it's a pop hit as far as being projected to be number seventh as far as most listened to in the world,
then it's definitely another accomplishment under the belt when it comes to the band's legacy and their ability to evolve.
So with that being said, click my link to share in my bio.
Let me know on one of my social medias.
What do you think about the emptiness and machine?
And if you're a Lincoln Park fan, will you be going to one of their tour dates that's coming up soon?
Thank you.
