Now, I believe this is my first time ever getting into Little Nightmares.
But as far as that specific fact, I was wondering to myself,
how in the world is people justifying four to five hours of playtime for $40?
Shepard, just look at the state of gaming.
Like, what is going on?
But then I came to realize something very interesting.
So when it comes to little night, when it comes to Little Nightmare,
one and then when it comes to little nightmares two respectively those two games were around the same
metric so little nightmares three is five to six hours right little nightmares one is is approximately
three and a half hours and little nightmares two is five and almost it's like five to six hours
so the main thing i was wanting to get at was why are people complaining about little nightmares three
when of course it's around the same hours as far as playtime
And then I realized this is a whopping $40 when compared to Little Nightmares 1.
It was $20, but the complete edition was 30 when it initially came out 2017.
And of course, Little Nightmares 2 was $30.
So now I've cracked the code.
I wind of the world.
Everybody is so irate at the hours because of the price point being increased compared to Little Nightmares 1 and 2.
Now that out the way, it's safe to say that this is a interesting franchise.
to say the least and a lot of people was gravitating towards little nightmares three because not only
is it the next installment but of course this is the first mainline entry not developed by
tar seer studios hopefully i'm saying it right acquired by embraces group in december 2019 for
10 million dollars and they shifted to the new ip reanimal in 2026 which is which has a spiritual
successor with the co-op horror akin to little nightmares one and two so the main thing you need
know is that band dynamco owns the IP and chose supermassive games like until dawn dark pictures
who did little nightmares two the enhanced edition and the 2021 next gym port and that was more of a
test run so now when you look at little nightmares three a lot of people enjoy the visually uh the
visual aspect of it but of course they they complain about
the short runtime because of the price point being more than what they usually charge so for people
who are completely oblivious to little nightmares three just knows developed by supermassive games
and published by bandanamco entertainment released october 10th of this year on the playstation four
playstation five xbox one xxxs nintendo switch nintendo switch two and of course pc and getting
into the review and sales roundup of little nightmares three safe to say that the best performance in my
opinion looking at the charts is Nintendo as is currently one of the best performing
games on Nintendo and more specifically is number eight as far as the number
eighth overall but it's really the seventh most played game on the switch so I
think Nintendo is the perfect platform for Little Nightmares 3 but if you
want to play a co-op game safe to say a lot of people would probably have more
of a console preference than the actual switch platform
So going back to Little Nightmare's Three is set in the spiral, which is a surreal cluster of nightmare realms.
You have the Necropolis, which is Sandy Ruins.
You have the Candy Factory, which is sticky and grotesque.
You have the Carnival.
Carnival.
And then you have an institute.
So your protagonist throughout the game is Lowe, which is a crow mask boy, and then you have Alone, which is a girl with pigtails.
So you're going throughout these different worlds with these particular protagonists.
And like I said, it's about four to six hours.
Now, with that being said, it's four chapters versus the two previous, no, the last previous
tower, the last previous Little Nightmare, which was five chapters.
And then the main thing you're going to be doing throughout Little Nightmares three is a lot of
puzzle solving, stealth, and chase sequences.
And once I saw a platform and I thought to my.
myself, well, maybe I should play this game.
And then I saw the price tag compared to the hours and I just said to myself,
Shepard, just look at the state of gaming.
Like, what is going on?
I don't know any game where I would pay $40 for only $4 to 6 hours of playtime.
I think that's egregious.
That's the most asinine.
That's the most backwards compatibility and the user interface I've ever seen in my life.
As far as being a user and playing the game, I'm not.
paying $40 for 46 hours a main story. Now, you could be like, hey, but if you're a completionist,
it can maybe push into 10 hours. I ain't trying to hear all that. You guys. See, that's the problem.
And of course, when it comes to the DLC, they do have DLC titled The Secrets of the Spiral
Expansion Pass that has two planned story chapters. So when it comes to this type of pivotal move,
as far as making it shorter but increasing the price point, some could say that
It basically is because it's not the first main line.
Some could say it's because it's the first mainline entry not developed by Tarsier Studios.
So maybe you have to blame Embrace a group.
Maybe you have to blame their new name as far as Reanimal.
Maybe they're trying to get you off the breadcrumbs trail.
But when they took over for $10.5 million, they basically said to themselves,
we're going to get our Monday's worth by any means necessary.
I know that ain't who I think it is.
So anyways, when it comes to the review roundup of this specific game,
a lot of people have given a glowing reviews basically all,
most of not all, said it was way too short, right?
They said, well, also they said a lot of other things,
as far as saying it was undespired.
I mean, you see a lot of scores from 60 to 75 out of 100.
Game and former game at the 75 out of 100,
saying that it was beautiful,
short co-op adds a little spice i gene gave it a 60 out of 100 saying uninspired retread few scares
limited co-op and of course you have destructoid that gave it a 60 out of 100 saying it was repetitive
and lacks old dread so now that i'm looking at it as far as the steam reviews because that's
more of the reviews i look at because steam i think does a great job on on having certain boundaries
and guidelines as far as how to how and who can leave a review that has
has 52% ladies and gentlemen a whopping 52% and it was positive initially but you know hey 52% if I was in
school safe to say little nightmares three will be failing compared to his predecessors so a lot of
people do praise the atmosphere the co-op concept and of course the music but when it comes to
other games that you could play which you've seen right now um as far as a co-op aspect split fiction is the
best co-op aspect you can have in the year of 2025. I mean, it's just not even close. Like,
I think it's one of the best games of the year, if not the best. It's my personal favorite,
but I'm not mad at other people who think other games like Ghost of Yote or Expedition 33 or
Hollow Night Silk Song deserve that mantle of the best game of the year. I'm just saying Little
Nightmares 3 is far from the case of being game of the year. And of course, it may be one of the
worst entries into the Little Nightmares franchise because there's three of them. So if you
word of rank them safe to say that it's not in the top two and there's only three of them so it's not the
greatest uh yeah it's not the greatest outing for little nightmares and of course with that being once
again because you can't blame the old developers for this with this being the first mainline entry
not developed by tarzier studios some could say that that is the pivotal factor and why the quality
is lackluster so when you look at the steam numbers um it currently has a 24 hour peak of 2100 people
playing it it is a co-op game so I'm not too stickler for the numbers but of course the all-time
peak was 19 days ago as far as 22,000 so a lot of people was anticipating this but it seems like
the word of mouth is doing more harm than good for this uh for the overall longevity for this game
so I don't think that the sales as far as this game bringing in 20 million plus lifetime as of
mid 2025 I don't think the sales is indicative of where this franchise is going
because of course the first one grossed around 48 millions as far as Little Nightmare's ones specifically
Little Nightmares 2 grossed around 25 million and then you look at this one selling around 20 plus
million it seems like it's on a downward spiral a spiral it doesn't seem like it's going upward
maybe that's why they sold it in the first place after the first one compared to the second one
they said to themselves hold them now this is not the trend that we want it's not the upward trend that we
that was going to happen so they sold it while it was hot and i think that's why we're at the position
we're at with little nightmares three so it does seem like visually is very interesting but it's a
short-lived experience for 40 so that being said click my link to my bio let me know one of my social
media is what do you think about little nightmares three do you believe it should have been longer
if you played it do you enjoy it do you think people are just tripping and at the end of the day
do you think that this is the worst little nightmares game out of the trilogy
Thank you.
