Getting into an artist that I talked about all the way back in April 25th of this year as far as her single, what was that ultimately leading up to the album that's out now on all DSPs and is titled Virgin by the artist that goes by the name of Lord.
Now, of course, y'all probably heard this name a plethora of times, especially when you talk about her rise to fame, especially with her breakout hit as far as royals back in.
2013 that topped the Billboard Hot 100 for nine weeks and was certified Diamond by R.I.A.
And also Lord won Best Pop solo performance and Song of the Year for Royals at the 2014 Grammys,
making her unequivocally the youngest winner at age 17.
Now of course, with that being said, it is 2025.
And Lord is back again with an album titled version that's 11 tracks, 34 minutes in length.
And of course, it's put out by the big dogs in the music industry as far as Universal Music Group, New Zealand Limited.
Now, of course, when it comes to her tour, fall 2025 is selling out, especially, it's titled Ultrasound World Tour.
And it's happening fall of this year.
and of course like I said it's selling out and I think the date she already has up on her
Instagram I believe she actually may not have it up on her Instagram um I thought that was TOS for a second
I was like what in the world um I don't I don't see what's that but anyways she's going on tour
and it's happening fall of 2025 so if you're a huge lord fan I'll definitely be on the lookout for that
as is definitely selling out she's adding more
dates but when it comes to a previous album it came out all the way back in 2021 so especially
when you're looking at albums and you come to realize the four-year hiatus or gap between these
two albums because the more you age the more you realize that especially with her well with
artist albums sometimes you need uh sometimes you need real life experiences to cultivate a new album so that
takes some time right so as far as solar power
coming out in 2021 and then now virgin coming out in 2025 safe to say that she has a lot to talk about
and get into as with her main producers for this album is jim e stack bond ivor Casey hill and he have
additional contributors as far as daniel uh uh oh yeah i forgot i've talked about him before
daniel uh daniel i think it's daniel but anyways i believe this person was very famous for um
producing for Olivia Rodrigo and Chappelle Rowan and he's Grammy nominated I believe which is why
you know his name threw me all the way off but with that being said the other producers is
dev hinds fabiana paladino Rob Moose and that that was Rob Moose is the person who did the
the strings on shape shifter and then of course you have the overall themes of the album
as you can tell by the title you know it's getting a lot of gender identity especially uh with the
the lyrics on hammer being specifically quote some days i'm a woman slash some days i'm a man
end quote for lord end quote for that artist so with that being said no one get clipped out of
context so um when you're getting into a lot of things as far as the mother daughter trauma as far as on the
track favorite daughter as far as fertility and womanhood on the track clear blue there's a lot of things
that lord is getting into especially in uh in on an introspective type of scale when getting uh more of a
glimpse as a consumer right she's doing that and more on this album version a lot of people are
definitely going to be wanting to know her creative process so if you didn't know that uh the
creative process for this album virgin it was written late 2023 into 20
24. She was in New York City in London when she was writing this. And of course, the ultimate
um, inspirations for this album came from breakup from a long-term relationship, recovery from
eating disorder and psychedelic therapy, uh, MDMA and psycho, what in the world? Silo Sabin.
Silo Sabin. I think that's how he said. And then she also talks about self-discovery.
around gender and body.
So the album gets into a lot of introspective work is out now.
Obviously I've covered Lur before and covered the track.
What was that leading up to this album?
So hopefully I'll check out the album.
It's definitely a lot of introspective things going on.
Very emotional type of album.
And at the end of the day for her long-term fans,
you know that she's continuing her four-year album cycle as
pure heroin came a heroin came,
came out in 2013 melodrama came out in 2017 solo power came out in 2021 and then now she has
virgin that's out now on all DSPs so that being said click my link to my bio let me know one of
my social media is what do you think about lord's latest album titled version and if you've heard
it already what is your favorite track off of the album
