Now y'all know how I feel about post hummus music, especially with me being a huge juice world fan.
But as far as Mac Miller's estate and the way that they've been handling this,
I believe that especially when you look at the overall facts when it comes to how this was put together
in a PR statement that was put out before the album came out, it makes a lot of sense as the official account for Mac Miller's estate,
which is 92 till infinity but just uh analytic dreams video on spotify to see the video along
with the audio if you want to just see it for yourself but it's 92 till infinity on iG right
they put out a statement eight weeks ago announcing balloonerism for january well basically for today
and their statement was many of malcolm's fans are aware
of balloonerism.
Hopefully I'm saying that right.
I'm pretty sure I am.
A full length album that Malcolm created around the time of the release of faces in 2014.
It is a project that was of great importance to Malcolm,
to the extent that he commissioned artwork for it in discussions concerning when it should be released,
were had regularly.
Though ultimately,
I don't even know how to say that.
It's like, is it good or go OD?
I don't know which one it is.
Sorry, I'm not the biggest Mac Miller connoisseur.
So, sorry if I messed up that title,
but just know I'm trying my best, right?
And subsequent albums ended up taking precedence.
We believe that,
we believe the project showcases both the breadth
of his musical talents
and fearlessness
as an artist
given that unofficial versions of the album
have circulated online for years
that's a shot at the fans
well not even the fans it's a shot at whoever
is out here leaking
a man that's passed away
in his music that was locked behind
a hard drive a file
a cloud right
that's a shot at y'all because y'all fans be tripping y'all be leaking anybody in music y'all don't care if they hear or not
y'all don't care if they're going through a depression that y'all really just want music like as far as
this entire field of just creating entertainment for the masses let me tell you something they don't care
about your well-being they want their next piece of content and they will get it at any means necessary
So for that, I say, shame on you.
So anyways, they're taking shots at you right here.
So unofficial versions of the album have circulated online for years.
And that releasing balloonerism was something that Malcolm frequently expressed being important to him.
Oh, okay.
So given that, unofficial versions of the album have circulated online for years.
and that releasing balloonerism was something that Malcolm frequently expressed being important to him,
we felt it most appropriate to present an official version of the project to the world.
With that in mind, we're happy to announce that balloonerism will be released on January 17, 2025.
Well, ladies and gentlemen, the day is January 17, 2025.
And guess what hit our DSPs, balloonerism.
So as far as this specific album, there's already been leaks like their estate said on IG, right?
The unofficial versions had the tracks like, do you have a destination, Uber, the song that changed everything, colors and shapes, stone, tambourine dream.
and okay so those were the tracks that was like leaked and stuff but as far as when it comes to the actual album
the way that they're combating this along with it being the official version is them having vinyl
additions right uh clear vinyl's CDs cassettes all available through his official shop now let me see
know what his official shop is
what is the official
shop it got to be a website they call everything
a shop nowadays his official
shop is yeah of course
a website so shop
dot macmillers website
dot com that's where
fans could purchase this including the
official merchandise such as you know
t-shirts hoodies stuff like that
so for real mac miller fans
out there that hopefully was not leaking his album
before this was officially released
um
hopefully a participant
And once again, shop.
dot macmillers website.com.
Right.
So when it comes to the overall impact of Mac Miller, I think I'm not the one to be
able to lay that out because I'm not the biggest Macmillar connoisseur.
Not saying I don't like his music.
Just say I never listened to it enough to be able to fully grasp how important he was
to the music industry, if that makes sense.
Like as far as being a Juice World fan, I could tell you how that affected that
the entire music industry, especially when he passed away because of the way he passed away,
the music that was created that ended up leading to his demise. It was a very huge conversation
that a lot of people just disregarded because really we're not ready to have certain conversations
when it comes to the musical creation process and what's used as vices that could end up being
that person's demise. The same thing that builds up these musicians sometimes end up being
the fall of let's just say them right so as a juice were a fan that's the only way that i could
basically break down how that impacted the music industry uh from a fan of juice world right but as far as
mac miller i've always just seeing his music seeing his fans obviously from afar and they've always
have raving reviews of Mac Miller, right?
I've never heard a person be like, oh, Mac Miller's music is just trash.
I've never heard that.
So with this album, a lot of people I've already been clamoring for it, having Cizzer on
it, especially it being the second track.
I mean, that could only help as far as the overall streams and things of that nature.
But when it comes to it, estate putting it out and especially releasing with the statement
that they had attached to it.
And then when the album actually came out and then they posted again that balloonerism, a film based on the album by Mac Miller, right, is available on prime video at 9 p.m. p.t. slash 12 am. ET directed by Samuel Jerome Mason.
So a whole film based on the album by Mac Miller, balloonerism. Isn't that insane?
Available on prime video, 9 p.m. p.t. slash.
12 a.m. E.T. Now, that is why I love getting into the music industry because what type of
estate is having this type of rollout for a musician? I know a lot of people point towards
Juice World's album as one of the more, one of the more poorly handled post-hummus albums of all
time, in my opinion, as far as his last project. That is why I kept saying I was a huge Juice
World fan because I was going to throw that tidbit in there to let y'all know I'm not hating. I'm
letting you know that I've witnessed Juice World's career from start to finish and what his
estate is doing to his music post you know basically post him passing away is very um
unforgiving as far as the the greedy nature that's taking a hold of them that is why when it
comes to Mac Miller's estate and the way that they've uh showcased and pinpointed dates they're not
just coming out saying oh Mac Miller got 300,000
songs and we just picked 16 out of it right they're not saying that they're saying mac miller
specifically made this album what what does they say but like back in 2014 he said he made this
yeah around the time of release of faces in 2014 so he could have made in 2013 2012 he said
you know just because you make it around the time you release another album probably may use
working on it for a while right so with that um this album is under warner so
Let me make sure.
Yeah.
So it's under Mac Miller's estate, of course, under exclusive license to Warner Records.
So this is going to sell with the major machine behind it, with the hardcore Mac Miller fans behind it, it's going to sell.
Now, as far as the vinyl additions, the vinyl additions with the rainbow.
foil slip case and then of course there's a white splatter vinyl and then a 32 page booklet
seemingly they have came with a lot of attributes alongside this body of work to showcase the effort
put in the rollout right so when it comes to that all you can do is just tip uh tip your hat off
to mac miller's estate i still don't take
take too kindly to post-Hummitz albums, but the way that MacMillers estate is doing it,
I believe, is probably the best way you could go about something like this,
especially the way they laid out the facts as far as him wanting this to be out in the date
that he created it.
It wasn't just the, oh, we picked the best 16 tracks that we thought would work for him.
It was like, no, he already had this album.
Other albums kept taking precedence, and now it's, you know, here for the world.
because it was already getting leaked by the masses.
So there was another shot, just to let you know.
That was definitely a shot at the fans who don't care
and just will obtain new content by any means necessary.
Definitely shame on y'all for having that type of mindset
because at the end of the day,
these are still humans, even though they're giving you entertainment,
you just still treat them like the human beings, right?
So with that being said,
Mac Miller's album, balloonerism, is out now on all DSPs.
January 17th, of course, 2025.
The runtime is 58 minutes and 43 seconds.
And with that being said,
it's basically Neo-Soul with jazz elements.
So, oh, also, Mac Miller's 33rd, well,
he would have been 33.
And he's going to be 33.
Well, I don't know how to phrase this.
I ain't going to lie to you.
I'm not trying to get canceled.
Basically, this album was released days before Mac Miller's 33rd birthday.
So he would have been 33.
I think that's how I phrase it.
All right, let's just leave it like that.
All right.
What else?
I think it's basically it.
So yeah, with that being said,
hopefully the Macmillar connoisseurs that weren't leaking his music before this,
to balloonerism and hopefully y'all enjoy it so click my link to you in my bio let me know one of
my social media is what do you think about mac miller's latest post hummus album title balloonerism
