Starting point is 00:00:00 Being one of the top 18 artists to ever chart every 316 weeks on YouTube music global charts ever since it launched means that this new Jay Balvin and Maluma track is about to be straight, impactful on the charts. And forget it from a quality standpoint because you already know it's going to be fire. We already know that this song from Maluma is a. part of his rollout for his latest album Don Juan, which has been nominated for a Grammy in the best Latin pop album category. So with that being said, obviously you kind of know the type of musician would get it into because both of them have had so much success not only in the music space, but more specifically the Latin space as the most viewed Latinos, especially on YouTube, is Jay Balvin. And it's pretty about, it's like 10.6 billion, I believe. And then Maluma's like lower down on the list on 4.5 billion.
Starting point is 00:01:11 But anyways, both of them performs tremendously on the charts and on YouTube. Because I love to say, even though somebody has great numbers on YouTube, does not mean that they will have great numbers on the charts. And for Maluma and for Jay Balvin, obviously they are able. to have both. And with the most, I think of Latin nominations in a single year,
Starting point is 00:01:41 Jay Balvin had 14 nominations in 2021, and then Maluma had 14 nominations in 2024, just basically setting it up in a way that lets you know that these are already very achieved and have a lot of badges on the belt. Is it belt?
Starting point is 00:01:59 I don't know if it's belt. Anyways, they have a lot of stripes when it comes to this game right so when you already combine that with the chemistry with j balvin and maluma and them just continuing to dominate the music scene of course with one of them being this specific track which i will pronounce it but i don't know if it's negress i don't want to say nothing crazy to get me canceled but i think it's gaffis negress i don't know man gophis gaffis i don't know i try my best and basically more of a reggae tone and Latin music type of entry as far as the genre and a lot of people love to try to spark a beef between just musicians in general especially if they're in the same
Starting point is 00:02:45 field but let me tell you that J Balvin and Maluma has put those to rest and I'm glad they did because sometimes you'll let the internet run with certain narratives and fake news to the point where you start to beef with each other and not contribute to the overall Colombian scene when it comes to Colombian music. So I'm so glad that they put their business hats on or whether they have real beef or not to actually put that to decide and put out music. Because if you really think about it, apparently, reportedly, the recording took place in Medellin during Maluma's album launch event featuring the closest friends in the urban music. scene and then i also have a music video directed by caesar tess pimeinta and juan pablo caldus hopefully i said those right without butchering it too much and then it was more of a energetic and spontaneous musical experience between uh them collaborating and so so i was just basically saying that to let you know how
Starting point is 00:03:58 that came about but at the end of the day all you really need know it know it's that Jay Balvin and Maluma is back again to light the streets on fire, especially the Latin music streets on fire with the latest collab with this new track titled Gaffis Negras. I definitely probably just completely butcher that. And I was trying to say Negress, so hopefully I said that right. But if I didn't, hey, I guess I'm just like Morgan Wallen. But anyways, click my link to your in my bio. Let me know on one of my social medias.
Starting point is 00:04:29 What do you think about Jay Balvin and Maluma putting it out? this new track and do you think is fire or trash
