Shepard, promise me you'll tell them to subscribe for any free content.
You know, diving back into the Latin community, you have to point out that so many different
genres that you would never even think of out here not only notoriously affecting the masses,
but ultimately showing musicians how to have longevity in the music industry.
And the reason why I start off like that is because we're about to get to this particular
Mexican rock band titled Mana.
name Amano they are from Guadalara I initially formed in 1981 and of course when you look at
their core members you have the vocalist fear a livera I think that's how you pronounce it you have
the the basses the basses Juan Caleros and the guitarist uh ulysis caleros and then of course you have
the 15 year old drummer Alex Gonzalez that join after an ad I guess so what
the world he joined after an advertisement and i'll just play so anyways when it comes to uh this particular
band just know that they are highly acclaimed as far as having four the grammy awards eight latin
grammy awards including best rock album wins numerous billboy latin music awards etc right mt vmase
awards uh premios low nuestra awards now when you look at this particular band making history
you specifically have to point out how they're the first spanish latinian
rock band ever nominated for the rock and roll hall of fame and that happened just last year so of course
when you look at some of the other accomplishments because best believe it keeps going ladies and
gentlemen they had a hollywood walk of fame star in 2016 the latin grammy's person at the gear in
2018 and of course the lifetime achievement award so when you look at this record-breaking mexican
pop slash rock band you have to pinpoint their current output because if you don't know ladies
gentlemen they've been doing this for quite some time when you go to the singles on dspe specifically
the last track was on well the first ever track on dsps was october 24 of 2000 uh 2000 when they put
our n l muele muel uh de san blas and then they put out another track titled selva negra so now
that is interesting because of course when it comes to out of course when it comes to
albums somehow they have one that came out in 1990s because of course it's a remaster so
November 30th 1989 is a first technically the first outing on DSPs but technically it was a remaster
so this this group has been around for quite some time that even they have to get acclimated to
the DSPs like Spotify album music Amazon music etc so now when you look at their latest offering
as far as May 29th, 2025 with the album Noches de Contina that is nine tracks total, 37 menace in Lent,
has features from Karen Leone, who we've covered before and Maybel.
I believe we've covered that artist before.
But let's just say when it comes to the overall major label, they're doing a phenomenal job.
As if you don't know, this particular rock band as far as Monom, they are under Warner Music, Mexico.
and there are a subsidiary of Warner Music Group, one of the big three in the global companies.
Of course, you go through this all the time as far as the music companies and the huge conglomeras that notoriously affect the masses.
As as of right now, you look at UMG, they have 40% of the entire market share or the music market share.
You have Sony with a whopping 24%.
You have Warner Music Group with 19% of course others, which is like smaller labels and independent acts.
They account for 11%.
So, Ramana being under Warner, I think is already setting them up for success.
But of course, they've been successful for quite some time that you already know,
that they know what their audience wants.
And they put a lot of intention behind their art.
Because, of course, when they go live, as far as performing live, as a band, people flocked
towards their performances.
As if you don't know, they had record-breaking tours, including multiple.
sold out days at the LA Forum and Massive Stadium slash Arena show.
So they're not, they are not a stranger to success in the music industry.
And the reason why we're covering them in this specific segment is because they have a particular track title,
Clavado in Unbar, that is the 29th most watch video in the world.
And of course, when you look at the singles specifically, it's doing pretty well.
I mean, it is in a reggae rock slash Latin rock genre as far as its specific track.
But the numbers that is putting up is doing pretty well.
And of course, I think when you look at the rise of the fame being around for so long,
having a track that is still notoriously affecting the masses on the video side,
not even like the audio side.
Because when you look at it, I think the video is probably the main marketing factor right now,
as they do have 26.3 million monthly listeners.
But as a whole, when I,
look at comparing it to other massively popular outings as far as in music and gaming is up there
with everything with their specific video for clavado and unbar so that's how i came on my radar so that's
i want to give the whole breakdown for people who are not even familiar of this particular band so
when you look at the track specifically is doing well on the uh charts uh when it comes to their video for
the track but as far as the song itself i haven't listened to you
haven't listened to it but of course when it comes to their market position i mean they initially
had the number 12 on the hot latin song slash number five on latin pop airplay and of course the long-term
strength is already there as the fan base keeps coming back time and time again as when you've been
around since 1980s and you still have tracks even if it's via the most played or most watched video right
you still start to figure out that longevity and music is more like an NFL and it's more like a
running back in NFL.
Your career is definitely not certified.
You can have such a short run in the industry and then just be spit out, right?
And then people just forget about you.
For MENA or MANA, I think it's Mata, for them to be around for so long since the 80s,
it's still notoriously affecting the masses.
As if you don't know, ladies and gentlemen,
gentlemen they are still set to go on tour so they have a bunch of tour dates because if you
don't know as of right now um I have their flyer up so analytic dreams video on Spotify to see
the video along with the audio but when it comes to specific dates um their current lineup is
of vocals from fear a levera hopefully I'm saying it right the drums by alex Gonzalez
um the guitar is uh Sergio valin the bass is uh Juan Caleros and then they are
all on tour for as of April well right now to late 2026 more specifically the last stop is
November 26 in Austin and in Houston so I think with them currently still being on tour
even though clavade or clavado in unbar is currently the 29th most watch video in general
they are not necessarily impacted the masses via the billboard charts
with their albums and songs, but their video for some reason is doing way better in comparison.
So anyways, for the huge amount of connoisseurs out there that also listen to a notorious mass of fate,
hopefully enjoyed this segment because you know when it comes to getting out of the genres I usually cover,
this is technically still in it as far as my coverage of Latin music.
But rock, I don't cover as much because you usually don't see them too often.
And if I wasn't to look at the video charts, I wouldn't have seen them.
at all. So shout out to them
still killing it. It's just the 80s.
That's insane.
That's an insane
example as far as longevity
when you put out solid music.
So they continue to be a
cornerstone of rock, especially
in Español.
And when you look at their live
performances, that's what their fans really
flock tours. And they are connoisseurs
of the live acts
and how they take their live performance
very seriously. So if you don't know, once
again from april 10th to 11th there'll be a san juan pr colosseo ade puerto rico and then you have
late may through june they have california days september they would be a red rocks amphitheater
and then of course uh that will be going until like through november 2026 where they were in the
tour in austin and houston so with that being said click my link to my bio let me know one of my
social media is what do you think about mana as a rock band specifically and if you are a huge
connoisseur of rock what is your favorite rock band of all time
