Starting point is 00:00:04 The deluxe digital edition of my Merry Christmas album is out now. You know, I don't know numbers, but I'm really proud to celebrate 30 years of this album. I'm so grateful to all my fans who spent many of their Christmases with these songs. The album is available now with a new remastering of my 1994 concert at the Cathedral of St. John, the Divine. Hope you enjoy listening and hoping we spend many more holidays together. Merry Christmas X-O-X-O from the one, the only, the iconic Mariah Carey. Now, ladies and gentlemen, Christmas season is upon us, and that means another dominant performance on the charts from the person who gave us probably the best Christmas anthem of all time. as all I want for Christmas is unequivocally, undeniably, one of the best songs ever created,
Starting point is 00:01:39 to the point where this track and its longevity is unmatched. The lifetime earnings of this track, which came out in 1994, it is 2024. This track came out in 1994. and the total royalties for this track exceeds over $60 million. Now that may seem low for some, but as far as one track, how long is this track? Let me see. As far as a four-minute track, one singular track over the years has, I don't know if it's gross in that. But anyways, exceeded over 60 million.
Starting point is 00:02:32 dollars since 1994 just from one track now maria carry is under columbia which is sony music entertainment and i can only imagine the amount of gifts they send her every christmas because it's almost the mj effect right you performed under a team under a management which is sony right You perform so well that now and forever in time, they will have to recognize your dominance in this particular block of the year. Time and time again, whenever December and even sometimes mid-November comes around, Mariah Carey just shoots to the top of the charts, which is one of the most impressive, outstanding accomplishments you could ever have as a musician.
Starting point is 00:03:31 So anyways, currently, the 24th most played album in the world is that spot is held by Mariah Carey with the album Merry Christmas. And of course, that's under Sony. But yeah, under Columbia, which is a subdivision of Sony music entertainment. And then, of course, all I want for Christmas is you is the 10th most listened to track on planet Earth. This song came out in 1994. I mean, talk about longevity. Even LeBron can't even compete with this type of longevity. This is insane.
Starting point is 00:04:09 So anyways, an estimated 2.5 to 3 million annually from royalties as far as this particular track. As far as the album, I actually don't know what the album grosses in general. But when it comes to peak performance, this track is always in the top 10. When it comes to Mariah Carey, she's always promoted. promoting just re-releases vinyl, things of that nature, which is why I've read off her Mariah, her post for her deluxe digital edition for her Christmas album, right? Every year, even though it's already successful, she comes out and promotes it, which just shows the hard work for somebody who's beyond on top, right? She's beyond made it, and she's still out here
Starting point is 00:04:53 grinding. You just got to really respect and get flowers to the work ethic. So anyways, Mariah Carey posted this on her IG Analytic Dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with audio but of course I know you probably already have visited Mariah Carey's IG but it's okay we're just gonna keep that in the tuck right you know what I mean? It's ain't no shame
Starting point is 00:05:14 in your game you know what I mean we understand anyways so yeah Mariah Carey's IG she basically tweeted out or no put out a post about her deluxe edition for her Christmas album and beyond that of course she's going to dominate the charts for the foreseeable
Starting point is 00:05:30 future probably well into January, because of course, even New Year's people are still playing Christmas anthems. And then with this track is setting a record for the most distinct calendar years as far as at number one. Because consecutive years at number one, it topped a hot 100 for five consecutive years from 2019 to 2023. So it's already one of the most successful tracks of all time. and with the sales over 16 million copies sold globally, it makes it the third best selling single ever. So as far as actual purchases, it's 16 million copies. And of course, I already talked about the number overall.
Starting point is 00:06:13 It's 60 million. That's the estimated amount of royalties that you receive from this track. So, and beyond that, I mean, what else is there to talk about when it comes to Christmas anthems? I would be, I would be interested to hear. What is y'all like top five Christmas tracks? Because if this is not on it, then I don't know if we can have a discussion. Because of course, I always say just because you sell well does not mean that it's high quality. But in this case, there's those few case scenarios where the quality is just as top tier as the amount of units and moved as far as globally.
Starting point is 00:06:55 So anyways, this Marks Mariah Carey's 19th, number one hit, the most for any solo artist, as far as the Billboard Hot 100. And with that, I mean, it just basically showcases that she's just one of the most iconic musicians to ever live on planet Earth. So here I am to just give my respects to an undeniable legend in the game with a track that came out in 1994. still making waves in 2024. So with that being said, click my link to you and my bio. Let me know in one of my social medias. What is your top five list as far as the best Christmas songs of all time?
