As far as the concurrent player count, because this is going to matter for when I'm about to say the concurrent player count is currently a hundred and ten thousand players the 24 hour peak is 117,000 now it must have refreshed because of course I'm dropping my episode soon and I covered it and it was at 13 but right now it's currently at one two three four five six seven it's currently in the seventh slot now the reason why I'm even bringing this up is because more of a rival season the nine is completely overhauling the game, which is the first time in gaming history we've seen a popular live service take an immense overhaul like this. It's never been done before because

I literally researched have we ever seen a game at its peak. I'm talking about not peak, but a game in its prime in the live service realm completely overhaul the gameplay loop like this. The main thing, when it comes to season nine completely changing the Marvel rivals gameplay loop as we know it is because the team up system has been completely overhauled and at first glance you probably think it to yourself well what's the big deal they're always switching

up teammates no ladies they're always switching up team ups no ladies and gentlemen they're switching up and bringing back every single team up that ever existed in Marvel rivals come on now just look at the state of state i mean just switching it up what is going on i mean nobody's going to know what's going on july 10th i kid you not this game's going to be completely new they might as well just said Marvel rivals two before they released it because of course when it comes to the new update every hero I mean every single hero jubilee is the 50 second hero think about all the variables they're implementing in one season every single hero will have two team up ability load outs that players can swap between them and of course for my video people because I am live currently

shame this plug just going to my twitch kick or just my link tree in my bio all my links are there But basically, when it comes to Marvel rivals and the team ups, the main reason why this is such a big deal is because every single hero having two team up ability loadouts with 52 characters already in the roster, the variables. You know, whenever Dr. Strange, I got to get on my nerd tip, I told you I'm a huge Marvel nerd. In Infinity War, when Dr. Strange was sitting on that rock or whatever while Star Lord and Iron Man was arguing, and he was, looking through all the possibilities. Net ease had to have that same exact moment when implementing this patch, because I kid you not, there's going to be too many variables to account for. Now, I'm not saying that the game is going to be broken.

I'm just saying there's no way. There's just simply no way that one of these O.P teamups did not just slip through the cracks and just completely break the game. Now, I'm not advocating for that. I'm just saying there's 52 heroes, ladies and gentlemen. And every single hero has two team up abilities, regardless. regardless if the other person's in the game or not, because if they're not in the game, it's still active. But when the other teammate is the other teammate that's a part of the team up, if they're also in the game, it will add stronger effects and extra abilities.

So it comes to a point where season nine is technically a whole new game. Instead of going with Marvel Rivals 2, they just went with a complete overhaul and called it season 9. They just called it today. They was like, do we want to go at Marvel 2? Or do we just want to switch it up and just tell them it's the installment of the new season? You're welcome. So we're going to see how this plays out July 10th, a lot more to get into because, of course, when you look at Black Widow, yes, ladies and gentlemen, I know you probably saying to yourself. I know that ain't who I think it is.

So I think the main thing is going to Marvel rivals, because they actually did a pretty good job on covering her rework. Because, you know, for the most part, it was so much change.

They didn't get to touch on everything, but they definitely wanted to touch on Black Widow. So with that being said, the main thing that they was touching on with Black Widow was her complete ability set now that she was reworked. So here it is right here. So I'm not, hold up. I swear, I swear, give me one second. I swear I'm 26 going on 80. I got to give me some grace, no cap.

I think that's better. All right, let's try this one. All right, let me see. This new health type massively buffed. And I already watched this, so already know exactly where it is. And, of course, I can just scroll through it. I think it's... It's towards the beginning, I believe.

Secondly, we've transformed her ultimate ability into her ADS sniper mode, which will last for a set duration or until a certain number of bullets are fired. Again, prioritizing the counterplay experience, we still haven't given her the ability to one-shot on critical hits. However, as power compensation, we've drastically increased the heatbox wires of her sniper bullets,

and they can now pierce straight through enemies. Crucially, non-critical hits will also do incredibly high damage, completely shedding any damage fall off a range. The ultimate goal here is to preserve that pure sniving experience for players who love it, while using the framework of an ultimate to grant it the immense devastating power it deserves. Finally, With retained Black Widow sprined and Super Jump, entirely removing their snap-inine restrictions. Her spinning kick will also stay, and we've introduced a grand new ability.

When Black Widow is airborne, she can launch toward the target location and slam her widow spied gauntlet down during AOE damage to nearby enemies. I know that ain't who I think it is. Now that ease. Y'all know what y'all doing with Black Widow y'all saw that y'all cooked with her summer skin and y'all gave her rework expeditiously y'all ain't slipped her widow's spied guntlets down during ae damage to nearby enemies our vision here is to make Black Widow's close quarters melee combos flow much more seamlessly handing her handing her some serious aggressive burst come now the reason why we're focusing on this is because if you don't know Black Widow was horrendously the worst player and more of her rival so I say horrendously that's a little exaggeration. You could be good with her if you was like a marksman, right? So for the most part, she's kind of like, I'm not going to say Spider-Man. I'm not going to go that

far. But you had to do a lot with her to do well. You could do well if you was like fantastic at certain things with Black Widow. But it was basically high-scale with low reward. Then, you know, other characters give you low-skill high rewards. So why I play Black Widow, which is why this rework happened in the first place. We hope these adjustments will make Black Widow a highly competitive flanking dearest. You can experience all the details for yourself once the update goes live. Okay, and then at the beginning I did miss a little bit, so I did want to talk about her actual. Here's a brief overview of our approach to these adjustments.

First, we've removed the ADS sniper mode from her standard state and increased the fire rate of her primary attack. At the same time, we've moved the charge electrical plasma blast from her original Ultimate to be normally available, hitting enemies with this due damage and applies a slow effect. With this adjustment, on one hand, we no longer need to stress over the one-shot K-O issue of a normal sniper. Now I saw the main Black Widow main getting upset over this because apparently she was saying it takes away the skill from Black Widow. On the other hand, we hope this...

And I'm not going to lie to you. I'm going to refer to her because obviously she has more hours into the character that I do. And if you're making a character easier with higher damage, I can see what she's saying. Black Widow more stable, consistent DPS, raising her base damage floor so more players can pick her up. Key words, more players can pick her up. Not our, you know, not players pick her up. because there was certain people that was like nasty with black widow just like any character that you know you get super pro level at right but for the most part black widow to the average player on marvels was just straight trash it wasn't a lot of value you could get out of her if your skill level was at a certain point secondly we've transformed her all right so then it goes back into the ultimate so that is why i wanted to start off with that because when it comes to marvel rival specifically i believe that they had no reason to make this overhaul, which I think is even more commendable because taking risk, not just for any reason, right?

Taking risk because you see that people are complaining about certain teamers being taken out of the game, not in the game, things of that nature. So they basically did the LeBron. They was like, hold up now. Here's one more. Here's another one. Actually, everybody got two team up abilities and the world went crazy with a gamer world. So some other things I wanted to talk about Assad.

from the Black Widow rework because there's still a lot to get into is when it comes to the battle pass it's going to be more Egyptian centered as far as the location there's going to be 10 unlockable costumes and of course there's always a premium battle pass I believe I had an image yeah here so this is the whole image of season nine right here so basically when it comes to season nine and it's following the story right the story is following apocalypse downfall a mysterious string of that spreads across thieves, players investigate using faith harvesting engine. The season draws inspiration from age of apocalypse

and X-Men mythology. Now, I don't know if y'all have been paying attention. Marvel been glazing the X-Men to the moon and back. Now, I'm not saying there's nothing wrong with it because X-Men 97 is phenomenal. But all I'm saying is, when it comes to X-Men and all this hype for Apocalypse, like, Denny, he just...

I ain't going to spoil it. But anyways, When it comes to X-Men specifically, I'm not mad at the X-Men glaze because it needed to happen at some point. I think it took too long. When it comes to certain movies that may be coming out at the end of this month and their propaganda for X-Men, I'm not a fan of that. But when it comes to, in general, focusing on the show, focusing on the iconic team-up of X-Men, I'm all for it. So I'm not mad at Jubilee being in there. I saw people upset like, oh, we haven't had an Avengers.

since the game launch. I'm like, bro, what other Avenger do y'all want? You know what I'm saying? It's like, what other Avengers would y'all want in the game? I'm honestly trying to rack my brain as a Marvel nerd. We have every single, now I'm not going to say every single, but all of the big, like what y'all want Nick Fury? Like what type of Avenger do y'all want? You guys. See, that's the problem. I think them focusing on X-Men is beyond logical. And if they are, if they are going to focus on Avengers, it needs to be the villains. I need Thanos. I need Green Gobble. I need, he's not an Avengers villain, but you get the point. I need Thanos.

Basically, I need a villain arc if they're going to focus on something else. All the Avengers are in the game. We have Iron Man. We have Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Spider-Man. We even have Hawkingh, Black Widow. Who has for them? Like, I don't understand. So anyways, what that being said?

Season 9, to put in layman's terms, new hero is Jubilee, and so I'm going to take the season of the roadmap away. So, you know, take a screenshot or whatever. Hold on. I'm going to take myself away. So anyways, when it comes to the lamest terms of season nine, we have a new hero, which is Jubilee. We have midseason hero, which is the hood. I didn't talk about that because, of course, they didn't show him at all, which he's going to be coming at the middle part of season. So there's no need to focus on him right now. The complete team up system is overhauled. That's the biggest factor in this entire season. Oh, no, in this entire update. Not the Black Widow redesign. I mean, that's cool or whatever. But the team-up system overhaul where every single,

Other than that, we have the Regina. shield mechanic now I don't know if I actually had video of that in how that worked I don't think I did let me see give me a one second to shield mechanic I don't know if I saw a video of showcasing how that works oh here we go shout shout to this person I think I think this is the actual one okay hopefully it is if it's not then I'm really 261 or 80 I think

This is the right one. Yeah, here we go. This new regenerative shield mechanic, which makes up half of your dive heroes health pool. Now, this actually restores its health automatically when you're inactive. We wanted to know how long you actually need to wait before the regenerative shields actually kick in. And it turns out after testing with a couple of different heroes, you need to wait for five whole seconds without taking any damage whatsoever.

And that recovers that green portion in your health bar. So if you are diving an enemy backline, this could be absolutely clutch in keeping your life or allowing you to escape. Now, supports don't have anything like this. Just hating, bro, for no reason. You know what I'm saying? Just hating on strategists for no reason. Strategist's main will never get the respect they deserve. That's whatever.

...moment in this game because none of them are actually dive characters and they can also heal. Come on now, tell that to my Deadpool, you know what I'm saying? No, I'm just saying. want to get into is the Egyptian theme map and storyline. If you notice, X-Men 97 is currently having an Egyptian theme and, of course, Apocalypse. So it's very, it's, it's kind of scary how on the same page the X-Men 97 show is with Marvel rivals. Now, of course, I think Marvel rivals would be easier to maneuver what they're doing to fit X-Men instead of compared to vice versa. I think the X-Men show would be harder to maneuver what they're doing to fit Marvel rivals because just an animated show in general I think there's a lot more moving

parts as far as quality levels and matching Marvel rivals in it's for them for Marvel rivals to do it because who cares I mean I'm not going to say who cares about the Marvel rival story but I mean you know it's not really that deep compared to X-Men 97 so anyways with that being said and as an invincible fan

We've been going for 30 minutes just showing how much I very much not only enjoy just Marvel in general, but I enjoy the update that NetE's had put forth because, of course, we already went over the stats, talked about how NetEase, I'm not saying they're at a point. place where they have to implement these changes, but they're showcasing what it looks like to be on top and still trying to please your consumer with pro consumer tactics. Because this is a free game, once again. And the reason why I keep emphasizing that this is a free game is because in the

span of two months, ladies and gentlemen, there's a reason why the game recover is like that for the episode 162 that's coming out soon. For the span of two months, we've had out of day, out of hardware priced above $1,000 as far as the steam machine, we've had Xbox consoles prices increasing when they only have 30 to 40% of the entire console market share, right? So imagine losing the console rates by that much and still increasing your prices. And then we have Xbox laying out 3,200 people, right? Then we have PlayStation not only saying that they're going to raise the price to PS Plus, but they said to you know what with physicals. Ladies and gentlemen, they're ending physical production in January

2028. Shepard. Yeah, I kid you not. No, that's a real step, man. What is going on? So gamers can rejoice on a company at its prime having pro-consumer tactics

because I'm not going to say what would happen if they put a price point on Marvel rivals, but it would be the same thing that's going on on GTA right now. You know how everybody was acting like they weren't going to buy GTA the $100 edition because, oh, they're locking out everything

in the game um exhibit a you know what i mean we ain't got messing around man we even got messing around and we're not going to xbox i don't know why i pulled up the xbox charts who care about you know somebody from xbox listening i care about you know i care about xbox too i could you not um let me see so yeah here we go ladies and gentlemen i want you to pay attention to the price point pay attention to the top three games on playstation all right no that's not it here we go yeah Pay attention to the price point. But, ladies and gentlemen, I live in the United States of America. So back to what I was saying. $100 for a GTA-6 game that hasn't even shown any gameplay loop, any game play mechanics. And it's $100 and it doesn't come out to November.

Third bestselling game on PlayStation, right? And everybody's like, oh, that's just rock star. Exhibit B. College football, $27, $100 is the best-selling product on PlayStation. You know when it comes to gamers, I just don't think they have a backbone. I kid you not. Just look at the state of gaming. Like, what is going on?

So once again, the reason why I was spending so much time on this free update with free two abilities implemented for every single hero with free DOC character that's currently one of the most popular characters in the hit series as far as X-Men 97, not only that, but it will continue to be free. They're not putting a price point on at any point at any time. soon right and it's currently what the one two three four five six seven the seventh most play game on steam only god knows how good he's doing on console i don't think it's in the top ten on console

oh i'm tripping it's literally right there it has number six most play game on playstation and let's look at xbox actually i guess i'll do it hold on me a second i guess we respect xbox right quick um and then when you look at xbox yeah marvrival's not on there weren't the world where aren't they playing boy i could i could you not hell let loose is the tenth most play game on xbox what those what those what those people be playing. Anyways, so basically, the reason I say that is because covering the gaming and music IPs that notoriously affect the masses, I think Marvel rivals net ease is currently having one of the best years alongside Capcom and somebody has to say it. So if you didn't get anything out of this entire breakdown of Marvel season nine, just know that new hero is Jubilee

from X-Man, mid-season hero is the hood. If you don't know who the hood is, watch Iron Heart. it'll maybe give you an indication i think it's the hood from the comics also read a lot of that marvel comics so if it's the hood from the comics it would be a lot vastly different um complete team up system overhaul black widow redesign regenerative shield mechanic which already showed new battle pass with 10 costumes egyptian theme map and storyline significant balance changes expected to dramatically shift the games meta making many many unknown variables is creating a lot of unknown variables that we will be able to see in July 10th. And I'm telling you right now, if Marvel Rivals pulls off what I think is about to pull off,

this may be the greatest game, one of the greatest games of all time. Because I think it's already one of the greatest games of the modern generation. This may be one of the greatest games of all time.
