Now before we go any further, of course, y'all already know,
analytic dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio.
But as you can see, this topic brings much joy to my heart,
as this is the entire premises of the podcast.
Now, half of the name came off the inspiration from this thing you're seeing right here.
That is a classic, which is Mass Effect.
Hopefully I know that by this point in time, that I'm a huge mass effect.
fake fan and of course the OG inspiration for me even getting put on to this was was of course
the black Okage now I'm not going to lie to you I don't know what type of check that biware needs
to cut this man but it needs to be an exorbitant amount of dollars because as far as an
influencer when it comes to pushing the mass effect brand the black okaga is one of one I
ain't a lot to you I mean he's already a goat but you already know that
So anyways, speaking of something else that's also goaded, let's look at this right here.
Ladies and gentlemen, I want you to go to Analytic Dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio or sign up to my Patreon, you know, for exclusive content behind the scene stuff.
But that being said, Mass Effect Legendary Edition is and can be purchased through this website.
So you're looking at it right now.
All you have to do is just type in the website, choose which platform you want to play this classic on and just be enlightened and.
And let me just tell you, you're welcome, right?
That's all I got to say.
You are welcome for me putting you on to how to buy this game.
Because obviously, not even the shareholders knew how impactful Mass Effect was.
As when they put out Mass Effect, the legendary, not the legendary,
when they put out Mass Effect, the, well, yeah, the Legendary Edition, I'm tripping.
And of course, like all classics do, it performed well.
Tell me why during an investor call in August 2021, the CEO, mind you, the CEO of EA said that it performed well above expectations.
What type of franchise does EA think they are dealing with?
This is one of the most impactful, most influential RPGs ever created in video game history.
So anyways, I'm glad they seen the light.
I mean, sometimes better late than never, but it's just very concerning that even the people
who own the IP for the, well, I don't even know if they own the IP, but they own the licensing
right for Mass Effect said that it performed well above expectations.
what were your expectations at the beginning or in the beginning because let me tell you something
hopefully we're not dealing with people who have the distribution power of mass effect
and they don't even realize how much of a classic it actually is but anyways they came to the
light and basically said it performed well above expectations and suggested that it sparked a fire
under EA and it was a there was more strong ongoing interest from the shareholders based on the
performance of mass effect the legendary edition so that being said we come to this segment which
i'm getting into amazon announcing that they are doing a mass effect tv adaptation with
daniel casey the the writer of fast and furious all right let me let me chill let me chill let me chill
is shepherd going to be talking about family?
All I got to hear is,
this is Commander Shepherd,
and this is my favorite family on the Citadel.
And I'm cutting it off.
I'm cutting it off.
I don't even,
I'm not trying to hear all that.
Now, when it comes to the Normandy,
when it comes to the entire crew that's on the Normandy,
obviously it is like a family,
but goodness,
I mean,
that's very on the nose to get the fast and furious writer.
But hey,
we're going to let them do their thing, right?
I would give advice,
but I would like to be surprised.
So I don't want to give advice for how this TV show should go, but I just want to say that
Mass Effect is similar to a Star Wars type format.
The pop and show under Star Wars currently is Andor, I believe, and that is completely separate
from the main storyline.
So one of the key tidbits I would give them is that you don't have.
have to focus on Commander Shepard.
Because I don't know if y'all played the game or not.
But at the beginning of the game, you can customize your character.
So, safe to say, a lot of people didn't even play with the, not generic, but the original
Commander Shepard.
They probably made their own customized look of Commander Shepard.
So what I would want to say is that if you're making a TV show based on such rich
lore that's in the Mass Effect setting, don't feel like you have to be.
be pigeonhole to telling Commander Shepard's story because I'm going to tell you right now.
Y'all not going to be able to get a better Commander Shepard story than what the video game did.
I'm just, I'm sorry, somebody got to say it.
Now I want to be pessimistic.
I'm just letting y'all know this is actually peak.
Like this is classic.
The whole part, half of the podcast is titled Mass Effect for the simple fact of how influential
this video game was on me as a gamer.
So for me, as it, the expectations are just too high for me to meet, right?
but in totality they do talk about how mass effect even though it was successful in his own right
it's a very niche game which you know niche when you sell over 25 million units but hey it's niche right
but technically to majority of people to the masses pun intended they may not be as familiar with
the Lear with the Garris, with the Rex, with Rex's son, then the avid mass effect stand.
Right.
So whenever you're getting into how to appeal to them, they may feel like they are introducing
Commander Shepard to a mass audience that was otherwise, wouldn't have been as an,
otherwise wouldn't have known about Commander Shepard.
That's basically what I'm saying.
I would compare this TV show if they're going to go to Commander Shepherd route to what Sonic did for the younger generation as far as the movies.
Nowadays, if you're younger, more people recognize Sonic from the successful movies than they do his iconic classic video games.
So with that being said, I think if they're going to go the route of Commander Shepherd, they better know what they're doing because it's a very, very interesting.
interesting plot point to choose from because in all intensive purposes, there's a lot of different ways you can go with the mass effect story.
So if you're going to do Commander Shepard, then I'll be interested to see what type of decisions they're going to follow for the most part, or if they're going to try to differentiate itself enough to make the TV show entirely its own thing.
But then when it comes to that, you're going to have the mass effect stands coming out saying, I don't like how they mess with classic story material.
and shaped into something else.
So that's why I say as far as going the Andor route of what Disney did with Star Wars,
I think that would be a formidable TV show to start off with Mass Effect,
just to get the kinks out as far as how to tell this story.
Because Mass Effect, and once again, hey, I don't know how many times I got to show it,
but huge influence on me.
So it's not just somebody talking that's just on the outside, you know, right?
Mass Effect is, in all intents of purposes, one of the greatest fictional content pieces we've ever received.
So, well, to me, because I know a lot of people don't feel as strongly as I do about Mass Effect,
but I'm just letting y'all know, there's a lot of different routes you can go with this source material.
And I think going a completely different route that just adds upon Mass Effect would help a lot.
As far as the first contact war, where the human human human human,
Rane into the Turrians, I think that could be a great TV show and build off of what the
Mass Effect trilogy already established.
Retelling Commander Shepard's story is a very, very, very, very tall task.
I just don't want Amazon to do to Commander Shepard to what, let's see, what's that Halo
TV show, Halo TV show.
You already know, I'm going with this.
I'm trying to see who put out who distributed the Halo TV show.
Okay.
So, Paramount.
Okay, Paramount put out the Halo TV show back in March 24th, 2022.
If I'm comparing Commander Shepherd to Master Chief,
you already know why I'm going with this.
I do not want Amazon to do to Commander Shepherd what Paramount did to Master Chief.
That is why.
I'm saying if you go to Commander Shepherd route,
It's a very tall task.
But if you go the Andor route,
which is telling a completely different story
that builds upon the main lore,
I think that's a very high-quality TV plan
you have on your hands as far as the plot.
Or you could go at the first contact war
because technically we've never received a game for that
in Mass Effect 5 that's set to come out soon
because, hey, quick side note,
BioWare officially can be able to.
which you know this may hurt some of the veldguard players fans but i don't care i'm excited to tell
all my mass effect fans that d lc plans for dragon age the veld guard just is non-existent but you know why
because they are shifting their focus to the development of mass effect five
hold up man let me let me you know that that definitely deserves some applause because let me tell you something
i thought we was going to have to wait forever i mean goodness i mean i get this on veldgar fans out there
but let me tell you something we're trying to continue the the story of commander shepherd
we're not talking about the fourth mass effect which will you know we will not speak of
actually let's just speak of it we're not talking about mass effect and dromeda which in all
intents and purposes was a solid game but when it comes to mass effect when it comes to the original
trilogy that's what we want that's what we want so anyways if you've noticed or paid attention
i play one of my favorite massific videos which is from watch mojo which they go over the top 10
missions in mass effect which you know for me i have my own top 10 list obviously but but
as far as for them, I think it's a good litmus scale for some of the great highlights over the
Mass Effect trilogy.
So, I don't think it's a, I don't think it's a spoiler.
It's not too much of a spoiler or anything.
They're showing Indromeda, which is very interesting.
I don't know why.
But anyways, what was I getting to?
So, Mass Effect TV show underway.
Obviously, I mean, y'all know I'm excited.
There's only so much exciting that I can show without, you know what I mean, just getting
up and doing backflips like i'm chris breezy himself right so amazon did say that they aim to
balance the series complex elements such as interspecies relations does that mean shepherds going
with lear now just flat my sure let me chill uh rich character backgrounds and unique alien designs
kind of like the crojans and turrians the reason why they're saying this is because this
a tv show so as far as the budget a tv show on space already
provides a lot of obstacles when it comes to the budget.
If somebody shows up and they don't look like a Krogan, best believe they're going to get
slaughtered.
If somebody shows up and they don't have the correct makeup for a turian, guess what?
They're going to get terminated.
Like, these Mass Effect fans really don't play around when it comes to his lore.
And neither should they.
I mean, I would consider myself a part of it.
So with that being to say, I really don't see how the budget for TV
would fit a space heavy story but hey i'm open to being wrong hopefully is great and ultimately the
advice that i gave it's pretty straightforward i think um so for a video game that came out 2007
and if they're going to put out a tv show in a near future which 2025 26 obviously decades later
so now you're looking at something and you're realizing that you're basically retelling a
story for a new audience essentially, but you still have to stay true to the source material
when it comes to the people who love Mass Effect, like me.
So anyways, click my link tree in my bio.
Let me know in one of my social medias.
What do you think about Commander Shepard as far as getting his, well, not Commander Shepard,
what do you think about Mass Effect getting its own TV show, a TV series greenlit by
Amazon and ultimately which direction would you want to see them go with the mass
effect lore and with that I should go
I should go
