Starting point is 00:00:03 Now the last time I got into Megan the Stallion, of course, I had to talk about a cross-collaborative effort that I myself was really engaged with as far as her and sigh from K-pop, putting out an Apple TV plus reality music competition titled K-pop, which promises to blend the vibrant worlds of Western pop and K-pop hosted by Megan the Stallion and side. If you didn't know that was a thing, well, now you know. So as far as this platform, you know, we get into a lot of particular musicians, but for this particular segment, we're getting back into Megan the Stallion as she put out a single titled When Ever. And of course, I listen to the track because I'm a fan of how Megan the Stallion puts words together. I think she's one of the better rappers as far as the up-and-coming crop of rappers. And with that being said, This track does not let you down from the sense of execution from lyrics. Executing your lyrics and the different flows that she's using is at a top tier rate as far as throughout this track whenever.
Starting point is 00:01:20 But I do have a critique. It's a minor critique, but it's similar to the critique I have with Big Sean from point to point from different points in his career. Sometimes your ability to put words together stops you from realizing that the replayability factor needs to be a part of the overall track. Now, what do I mean by that? The chorus in whenever I'm going to say is not present at all. It's missing throughout the masterful delivering and performance that Megan the Stallion is putting on lyrically. But when it comes to the chorus, I believe that's the missing piece in this track to make it a phenomenal hit on Billboard, right? But if she's just going for a rapy rap type of track, then maybe I could let it slide.
Starting point is 00:02:16 But it seems like this is a single for her upcoming album that she said herself on TikTok Live that is being made. She says the album is being made. And with the album still in production, she says she's, selectively considering features one in collaborations with artists she listens to personally and hasn't worked with before and of course as a artist who actually cares about the lyrics that she's putting together in the double and triple entendres and the effort put forth to switching your flow to match the beat i think her wanting dochi on her album which she said herself is a phenomenal artist to have on her album i think it makes all the sense in the world because whenever you are on stage as far as
Starting point is 00:03:06 cochella and you're having a grandiose performance to the point where you're bringing out people like queen latifa at all people as far as just the iconic nature of queen latifa you're also bringing out sierra and victoria mona you come to realize there's a lot of respect on how Megan the Stallion approaches the art of rapping and not only the art of rapping, but also the art of hip hop. Because sometimes you realize artists do not care about the words that's coming out of their mouth whenever they're rapping over a beat. So when it comes to Megan, the Stallion, I just wanted to make it apparent and obvious that Megan's stallion is leaps and bounds above a lot of these rappers when it comes to putting words together. Now, that being said, that is why my sentiment of the chorus comes into play because me, comparing her to big shon is why i'm saying the whole chorus and replayability factor because sometimes
Starting point is 00:04:00 you're so persistent and you're putting so you're putting forth so much effort into the lyrical content of the track sometimes you forget this has to be replayable for the masses that means having the actual solid chorus being present throughout the track now that being said let's go into what she's saying as far as her recent collaborations right her recent collaborations as far as Rapunzel with Black Pinks Lisa. I remember covering that. And then you get into a lot of things with the Mamushi track with Yucouche Chiba, which I believe was on Making the Stallion's album. Anyways, one of the more pivotal standouts that I think was a testament to these artists respecting one another's craft when it comes to putting words together is Lotto, Magnus Stallion,
Starting point is 00:04:48 and Flo Millie coming together for a track title Sunday service. And that being a remix for Lottos Sunday service, of course. I like when artists have respect and they notice who is performing not only commercial wise, but also lyrically when it comes to rap, right? So anyways, Megan the Stallion is putting out an album at some point. We don't know when it's going to come out, but of course, with the track whenever, we would have to assume that Megan Stallion will be putting out an album at some point and when you say that the album is in the works is in production and you already have a wish list as far as features you want on the album some would assume that the album is almost completed right it may be a a reach of a assumption but we are hoping that the album is complete and
Starting point is 00:05:38 personally i'm hoping doche is on this because i think it would have an m&m jid type of effect like when jid was on m&m's album i think it will have that type of effect as far as top-tier lyrics is getting together on the track and just showcasing what it looks like to actually put forth effort as far as rapping and respecting
Starting point is 00:06:01 the art of hip-hop. So with that be said, click my link to my bio, let me know on one of my social medias. What do you think about Megan the Stallion and her latest track titled Whenever? And at the end of the day, what is your favorite verse of all time from Megan the Stallion?
Starting point is 00:06:17 And are you looking forward to her album whenever it eventually comes out.
