Megan the Stallion has a new album and guess what it's called Megan I don't know if that threw you for a loop but for me I was like talk about the lack of creativity for album title but you know that's okay because whenever you're talking about Megan the Stallion you do have to realize that she's one of the biggest artists period when it comes to rap now when talking about her album
let's get into some of the biggest things when it comes to distribution and this album's coming out under
hot girl productions which in all actuality is independent the label was founded by megan the stallion
because of her legal disputes with her previous label 1501 certified entertainment if you don't know
about her whole label dispute with 1501 certified entertainment is a reason why her and Drake is
beefing. You probably didn't know that because 1501 certified entertainment is ran by Carl Crawford
who is a very close partner with Jay Prince. And if you know anything about Drake, his ties
is only to Jay Prince. So that's the rabbit hole into how Megan the Stalien and Drake are beef.
Y'all probably thought it was through her beef with Nikki Minaj, not in the same.
light it's simply because of what happened with 1501 entertainment so with that being said i think
megan the stallion is one of the greatest rappers in the past three to four years so as far as a
hierarchy i would definitely have drake kendrick up there i'll definitely have nicky up there and as far as
the other two spots i'll probably say either Megan doja cat some people will say germane but ever since
he made his apology um he's just completely in hip-hop timeout so megan is sallion has a new album
titled megan under her independent label self-started label hot girl productions and i do believe that
with this track with this album being 18 tracks 52 minutes in length it will inevitably do some
type of damage on the charts but i i don't believe the type of global
impact will happen simply for her label disputes and seemingly the whole industry being against
her. I mean, when Eminem took a shot at Megan the Stalien singing on his album or on his single
Houdini, you think I could get a feature with, you think if I ask Megan to hop on an album,
I'll have a shot at a feat, basically talking about shot at a feature, which is a playoff shot at feet.
which happened to Megan the Stallion in the Tory Lane's case.
I mean, if Eminem's taking shots at you, Drake's taking shots at you,
Nikki's taking shots at you, I mean, goodness,
you got the whole Vinders of hip hop going at you.
And at this point, you're by yourself,
you're putting out an album under an independent label,
who in the world is going to want to stand by somebody
who may get you in bad blood with the Eminem, with the Drake, with the Nikki.
I mean, the biggest thing she has going for herself,
is the Jay-Z ties with her being managed by Rock Nation.
And you see that in reflection of the features.
I mean, there's notable features missing out for this album.
And I think that's because of the whole pick aside.
If you want to do music with Megan and Stalion,
just know you'll probably be on the bad side of Nikki, Drake.
I'm not going to say M&M.
I don't know if it's really that serious
or if he just wanted to take shots at a black woman,
which both of them is just terrible.
I'm just trying to lay it out for you.
So as far as making the Stalian, right,
she's going to kick off the BET Awards
with the performance on June 30th
so you can look out for that.
And also, with her highly anticipated album out,
expect her to take more direct shots at Nikki
because I think that's the biggest thing
she can lean into.
As far as marketing advice,
I would tell her to go at Nikki
because Nikki's by far the bigger artist
and try to gain some type of appeal.
from the masses from being a victim because that's been your main marketing train at this point.
So success-wise, wannabe is her most successful track on the charts, but it's not hers.
It's Glorilla and Megan LaStylion with the track Wanna Bee, the 25th most play song in the world.
It's been under charge for about 11 weeks.
So that's a bona fide hit.
peak the number 20 and now is at 25 been on the charts for about 11 weeks safe to say people
is playing want to be over and over and over and it would probably end up being one of the best songs of
2024 so now we'll come back we come back to your album the sales are going to be highlighted
if it's not at a certain stature by the barbs because of your beef with nicky that is where it comes
into effect you going directly at her to play the victim card so that they can't overtly go at you
and try to discredit your status in hip-hop.
If you play the victim card again with Nikki, I think it could work because of how Nikki
went at you on her disc track, Bigfoot, basically highlighting lying on your dead mom.
That was a very, very vitriol attack when it comes to verbal spark.
in the hip-hop battle.
So I'll play off that, play the victim card,
continue to just promote your music
because everybody in the mom seems to not really like you,
to put it bluntly.
But I think that with this album,
I think with certain marketing strategies,
and regardless of the reviews of this album,
you just have to continue to be the victim.
It can't be, oh, I'm the big, bad,
everybody is beneath me no it has to be the higher-ups are all trying to stop me taking shots at me
i mean the m&m stuff i haven't listened to the album but if that's not in your album as far as
uh rapping about why would m&m take shots at a black woman i mean that just has to be a part
of the marketing strategy at this point if it's not it's because of the reasons i previously stated
you don't want to get or either your PR team your marketing team the people who helping you don't
want to get on the bad side of the higher ups that's really really in dislike of you like they really
really dislike you so um yeah this is the first album released under her own label this is one of the
first albums where she's going to be completely standing on her own as far as having to put up
numbers from her own body of work and I think because if you realize the last albums was helped out by
like a Cardi B, um, Beyonce, like she's had some superstar help as far as the last albums. But I think
Megan can rap. One of the main critiques is the chorus. The structure of her chorus making ability
seems not to be on par with most artists. It seems like she can rap, but she falls into the Jay-Z
effect where she needs help when it comes to making the course.
chorus, which is nothing wrong with that if you're a rapper, because if that's the main thing you do,
then of course, do that well. But as far as the chorus making ability, I'll probably work on that.
So that's the advice I could probably give. That's basically it. Some of the collaboration she does
have is Glorilla, of course, because, I mean, they have one of the biggest songs in the world right now.
So why not have her again on your album? She has Victoria Monet, UGK. Who in the world is UGK?
am i tripping is that m gk no that's u g okay let me see u gk who is this
this can't be right no that can't be right u gk it just brought up some hood dude yeah no that's not
right it has to be like u gk i don't know why that just threw me all the way off i was like
who is this let me see if i can type on that name all right let me see go to r
artist UGK
Oh it is them
Okay
I don't know
Hey
I guess man
I don't know
I don't know why they're on that
I don't know why they on the album
