Starting point is 00:00:00 What happened with the trans record? Because Drake, obviously, that his version, his verse leaked this week. Why did that version not make the album? I want you all to know. Never forget when Metro Boomin said the goat didn't have a place on trance. I just want you to know that. I want you to look up the remixed version of Trance with Drake on it on YouTube, SoundCloud, whatever. and they go to whatever DSP you use, Spotify, Amazon, Apple, and listen to the original version.
Starting point is 00:00:42 Not saying it's a bad song by any stretch of their imagination, but this excuse for why he left the goat off a trance should never, ever be forgotten. Really, it was a song I had did with Travis Hithub originally for my album. And I was just in the studio with Drake one time because we were going to do some stuff in my album. He just wanted to hear some songs from my album. He just wanted to hear some. He heard that one. Yeah. Say he wanted to get on it.
Starting point is 00:01:17 I was letting him know that he was really just done for real. And I was like, nah, I don't want to be great. How it was. I was like, Brian didn't try to sell you, you know, dream. Yeah, I'm just gonna give it to these D-list, C-list artists. I didn't know where it was, but he had hit me, it was just like, man, let me see if it's just anything he could add to it. And he was like, if you don't like it, then whatever.
Starting point is 00:01:39 So that goat mentality basically letting him know like, hey, bro, I'm him. I'm gonna send you my version and then you make the decision. Like, imagine telling Drake off the bat, no. Like, obviously, this whole segment is about Metro Boomin and Futures' collaborative album that's supposedly coming out this month. But I do have to point this out because this was an egregious use of pettiness, right?
Starting point is 00:02:03 No matter how petty you may think you are, throwing away this type of bag is disgusting. So let's keep going. He did some stuff, a couple parts of school, but I just felt like just even with like slime burst
Starting point is 00:02:18 and traversed and the outro, it was just already like, it just really wasn't no room. Yeah, it just wasn't a room for the ghost. honestly like come on now like honestly like who has room for the guy who puts up the most numbers in the genre I'll produce for I just think about it it was just wasn't no room it wasn't unpersonal just wasn't no room so I had uh I just ended up using the original and
Starting point is 00:02:44 I guess the other one just leaked to some yeah it just leaked to some I don't know who leaked it definitely not Drake himself right or his camp that they didn't leak it that's not what happened It's not what happened. Do y'all think there's ever been anyone who's told Drake, I think the song's done? Not that I know. In the history of music? Probably not. If I had to bet money on it.
Starting point is 00:03:09 I like that. I like that. I laugh right in that man face for that decision. Talk about low IQ. You know how they say like 2,000 IQ or 1,000 IQ? Usually I see that on Call the Duty plays. But anyways, in real life, that was. The opposite. Zero IQ play by Metro booming right there.
Starting point is 00:03:31 Let's run that back and just watch how they laugh in his face and then look at Metro's reaction. Probably not. If I had to bet money on it, I would say no. Don't make me the first. And he was like, don't make me, don't make me that guy. Don't laugh right in front of my face. Not in front of my face.
Starting point is 00:03:51 Now he's realizing what they're doing. He's like, he got to start caping. He'd be like, nah, bro, that one guy. that somebody turned down Drake he couldn't even put a name on him but anyways all jokes aside let's get into the reason I'm even covering this because of course even though I started up with one of the most egregious uses of pettiness because if you don't know Metro and Drake are beefing they don't like each other right now if you didn't know well now you know so with him leaving Drake off trance
Starting point is 00:04:22 that was just a start of the pettiness right he put out a tweet talking about how He doesn't understand how her loss, actually, let me just pull it up. He said he didn't understand how her loss won a Grammy over, not Grammy, won all type of hip hop awards over his album, heroes and villains. And a now deleted tweet, of course, because he doesn't stand on anything, right? So he said, yet her loss, this is Metro tweeting from his public account. He didn't even have the decency to go on his burner to get these trash thoughts off. right they always talk about podcasters and how they just be yapping which we definitely do you know but metro definitely was yapping and aka just talking as he tweeted this yet her loss still
Starting point is 00:05:16 keeps winning rap album of the year over heroes and villains proof that award shows are just politics and not for me i don't care about awards honestly uh that's a contradiction anyways let's keep going the true award and the reward is knowing that the music i spend so much time on brings joy to people's everyday lives imagine tweeting about your album not winning awards but then right after that saying i don't care about awards honestly sounds a little hypocritical don't you think anyways that's besides the point enough enough hate on Metro why y'all do that to that man anyways um metro and future are coming out with a new album supposedly titled forever or never supposedly titled metro and future you know it's uh metro
Starting point is 00:06:20 pluto we don't know what the album's going to be called allegedly it's called forever or never but don't hold me to that take that with a grain of salt i've just been going through the tea leaves if that's what they call them trying to get information about this album because i swear this was supposed to come out earlier than it did but of course if you don't know metro boomer's album the spider-man album soundtrack whatever you want to call it has so much success especially being attached to the movie that was attached to that he probably was like it's probably better to chill out let the album have his runway have his legs as far as revenue and generating it then combating that album with another album of his own you know you never want to self-inflit damage as far as revenue especially if the album's
Starting point is 00:07:08 taken upon the life of itself i mean i don't even know people talk about the first spider verse album anymore and that had sunflower on it everybody talks about how metro's album multiple songs not just one because that's the thing multiple songs that fits the entire movie to the point where he even had a cameo in the actual movie themselves if you if you miss you miss it you miss it you miss it you're it then i guess he wasn't playing attention but anyways uh so if you don't know metro and future has had immense success over the past decade plus with a lot of previous collaborations with i think it was what a time to be alive i think that was the biggest one that's probably the biggest collaboration with future and metro and super slimy with young thug like as far as metro having his
Starting point is 00:08:01 hand on the project. I think that was probably future Metro's best work. I know somebody else is going to come through the cut and say something else, but to me, when he came on, what a time to be alive, it was the perfect mixture of Drake future and then one of the best producers in the game, which, to Metro's credit, has not fizzled off by any stretch of their imagination. A lot of people in today's age don't know that producers in hip-hop have football-like careers. And I'm talking about the running back, not Tom Brady. So for Metro to still be around, granted, a lot of other producers are far in the way just gone at this point. It just showcases the level of consistency and the consistent numbers that he puts up as far as impacting the culture with this production.
Starting point is 00:08:52 I mean, I don't know any of the man that could put out albums and get this type of recognition, whether it's the heroes and villains, whether it's the Spider-Man's, Spider-Man soundtrack, and whether it's this future or upcoming future album that's supposed to be his main focus after juggling various commitments. And another thing that added to the Drake and Metro beef, I'm still not doing that. Still, apparently, Metro and 21 Savage were supposed to come out with some type of collab album last year, and you know what happened with that. Drake ended up making a whole collab album with 21 Savage. coincidence, I think not.
Starting point is 00:09:31 It was the same tactic he used against Meek Mill when it was rumored that, when it didn't come out, it was rumored that Meek Mill wanted to make a collab album with Future all the way back in 2015. And before you laugh, in 2015, that would have been the best thing since Life Spread. But Drake saw the play, hopped on it, and guess what? What a time to be alive happened. So just know, Drake definitely creates and gets motivated off of pettiness. But sometimes it cultivates into some of the greatest music we've ever heard.
Starting point is 00:10:13 And yes, I am caping for my favorite artist, but that's what it is. And that's what it's going to be. So anyways, click my link to me in my bio. Let me know one of my social media is. What do you think about the upcoming, well, allegedly upcoming Metro and Future album titled Forever and Never? and what are you most anticipating when there's a project eventually releases?
