Now, future has been interestingly quiet because as far as the top 100 on Billboard, he is non-existent.
But then Metro currently has one track on the charts at number 77.
Granted, it was because of 21 Savage, the track Nina, which has been on the charts for about 8 weeks.
weeks peak the number 10. So the reason why I bring up chart status is because, you know,
of course I call myself analytic dreams. So I always have to get into these numbers as that's the
biggest factor in all of these releases, right? Is what metrics can we hit? What type of promotion do we
need to use to hit these numbers? But on the quality aspect, I think that Metro did a humongous
favor for hip hop in
2023 coming with
well heroes and villains
technically
came out
December 2020 I believe
I think heroes and villains
came out 2022
and then
let's see
yeah heroes and villains
came out
December 2nd
2022
and then
the album
he made for Spider-Verse came out August 4th,
2023. So obviously, this man was pretty active last year.
But when it comes to Future, his last project was in 22 and not only 22,
but it was May 2nd, 2022. So that to this day, I think, is Future's best album. Like I know it's
probably a hot take but i never liked you is the perfect future album i would say that is his um
classic simply for him having certain tracks on there that's just like timeless has drake on there
twice so you already know for me that's fire has one of the best intros i've ever heard from a
future album in seven 12 p.m has worst days
which is literally like an anthem for every Valentine's Day.
Like every Valentine's Day, that's like a humongous anthem as far as what it impacts.
It reminds me of how March Madness was like an impact for basketball.
Worst day, it's like an anthem for Valentine's Day.
And then, of course, he had other tracks on here.
Like, Love You Better, Puffing on Zooties, like stuff like that.
But anyways, um, future obviously has been.
been very quiet when it comes to musical releases and the reason for that is because i never liked
you really was putting up some monster numbers when it comes to first week sales because future
we're not going to not to you future does not do the biggest first week sales it's always something
respectable like in the 6080 range but with i never with i never liked you first week
sales it was let's see i never liked you had with the removal of bundles so that's the biggest
thing it was 220 22 000 first week goodness that's crazy and just to put in perspective um
all the pluto's albums was never even close to 200 000 i mean the closest one was this is
h o f i think that's hall of fame i got my acronyms correct
yeah hall of fame did 153 000 first week i didn't even see what that's at
that's hall of fame is that mixtape i don't like when they count mixed tapes it's hard to
track those but hendricks no the wizard was the second with uh 125 000 hendricks
hundred twenty one thousand uh future i don't know future uh dirty sprite two was the second
biggest with 151,000 and the biggest was HOF 153,000 as far as first week sales are concerned obviously
so more over time especially dirty sprite too but i never liked you came out the gate with 222,000
first week and i just want to say i think that's why future took a huge hiatus from music by his standards
I think he had the album.
Everybody enjoys statistically and subjectively.
And he was just like, okay, let me just cool off of music and let that just basically have his time in the limelight.
But now he's back again with a new collaborative album with Metro Boomer.
And the title of the album is, we don't trust you.
Because of course, you already know the famous phrase from Future is if Young Metro don't trust you,
he's just going to do something that's non-law abiding so anyways um this album set to be released
march 22nd and apparently it's the second album coming april 12th i ain't know it's two albums
and then um none of these albums are probably going to have Drake on it or maybe that's what
the two albums are for metro was probably like ain't no way i'm letting Drake on this album because if
you don't know metro currently is just hating on drake for no reason i just don't know what it is like
sometimes when you're the goat like people just come out of nowhere like the woodworks and be like
hey i don't like that person and they go back into the woods so that's how metro is right now he
basically came out came out randomly and said he took drake off trans because he wasn't feeling it
like what type of hater stuff is that like if y'all heard the leaked version of trance
compared to the original version which both versions of are fire like metro
That's one thing.
When you say things like that,
you got to be super talented,
and that's definitely what Metro is.
So both versions of trans was fire, of course.
But obviously, as a Drake stand, you know,
I'm trying to hear Drake on trance as well.
So anyways, yeah, I wouldn't be surprised
both albums is basically, you know,
one maybe majority-owned as far as royalties is concerned by Metro
and maybe the others majority-owned royalty-wise,
by future. That's just me, you know, um, guessing. So anyways, um, obviously,
the Instagram trailer that they had basically promoting the album. Um,
I'm trying to think. What else? That's basically it. It's not too much again. Two futures been
okay, I got into why future took a huge hiatus. I got into our metro. Basically it was like
the MVP producer wise for, uh, 2023.
Yeah. And so these two collabing like this coming off of just super hot streaks from both of them just makes all the sense in the world. It's almost like interesting that they do it at this point in time because usually artists wait till they fall off to make a collab album.
But with this being like a peak of both of their careers, I think this collab album would end up being, if not the best album of 20.
23 or 2024 it would definitely be in the top three and usually I don't put producer albums in my top five
albums because I think that's cheating like you're gonna grab all the best musicians to give you something
for your album like that's cheating but I mean as a producer like if you're adding something to it as
an artist I think it's totally different but as a producer it's like super I'm not gonna say super
easy but let's just say a DJ Calit won't end up on my top five simply for the fay that he had
like Rihanna drake jZ like all that stuff like come on now like as an artist if you're not
I added none to it sonically with your own voice, I can't put you in my top five.
So anyways, with this being technically a future album, I would have to put this in my top five.
And I think it will end up being in my top five and may go down as being the best album of 2023.
So with that being said, click my link to you in my bio and let me know on one of my social
medias.
Are you as excited for this album as I am?
And do you think that Drake will make an appearance on either of these two albums, the first set to be released March 22nd and the second set to be released, April 12th?
